Pillar of Yita

”Miss Tata, please take over the Heart of Fairy.”

”Mr. Knight, it’s been taken over.”

”Miss Tata, open the side hatch.”

”Opened.”

In the darkness, a ray of dawn emerged, and the side hatches on both sides of the air combat deck slowly opened with creaking sounds. The light that cast from outside fell into Miss Knight’s eyes, making her blink gently.

As the gears turned, the console rose from the ground, and Fang Hong stepped forward, placing his hand on the crystal. Luo Hao and others braved the strong wind pouring onto the air combat deck and stepped out from the front compartment, watching this scene.

With a flash of light, a projection of a Spear Cavalry appeared on the air combat deck. The jetting airflow blew the blue wind element particles, gently pushing it forward, off the air combat deck, adjusting its posture to fly into the cloud sea. There seemed to be a faint, fleeting silver net there—

Under Miss Tata’s precise control of spiritual power, the construct gradually broke free from the airship’s inertia. It paused slightly backward, then suddenly drew an arc, accelerating forward.

Then the second, third construct, fourth and fifth, one after another, left the Seven Seas Traveler, following the front constructs to form a flight formation. Fang Hong raised his head to look in that direction, seeing only tiny black dots, flying into the clouds and slowly disappearing.

He opened his pocket watch—

Seven-thirty, the Seven Seas Traveler launched its first wave of attacks.

This would be the first time Elf Dragon Knights truly engaged in combat in Eteliria, and at this moment, perhaps no one could predict what this first could bring.

But those who witnessed this scene at least understood that this moment might be forever remembered in the history of Magic Guided Engineering.

The dreams and efforts of predecessors are reflected in reality at this moment.

...

The swordsman, holding a notice order rustling in the strong wind, pushed the door open and stepped onto the deck, ”Big L, the military’s third notice order has been issued, the exercise area has been completely sealed, all airspace thirty kilometers north and three hundred kilometers east from here is under lockdown.”

On the deck, the Descendants of Flor raised their heads, looking in this direction. Lair took the notice order from the other’s hand, glanced at it with a frown, then silently folded it and put it in his pocket. He looked up towards the towering cloud wall in the distance; the military’s exercise came at an untimely manner—but this was not a reason for them to give up.

They had wandered here for half a month, not caring about the casualties and losses of other guilds. The battle in the Void Canyon might have deterred some people, but if they couldn’t catch the other side, their half month’s effort would be in vain.

No matter what, they had to intercept that ship in this place.

”Thirty kilometers,” Lair calculated silently in his heart, ”To seek a glimmer of hope, the other side would almost certainly force their way into the military’s designated exercise area...” The military’s exercise area is a rectangle with a long side of 1300 kilometers, but the short side is only 300 kilometers. The other side just has to enter from the southwestern corner of this short side and cut through the exercise area diagonally; there still stands a chance. The military fleet could not possibly densely populate this exercise area, making it possible for the other side not to collide with the military fleet at all. But would these chasers dare to risk chasing into the exercise area?”

Lair certainly understood that the answer was no.

Hence, they had to intercept the other side before entering the exercise area.

”Make the communication between the ships tighter,” Lair said, ”Currently, thirty-three airships are dispersed along this line. If they take this route, they will surely collide. Thirty kilometers, crossing this line, would take at least half a day, enough time for us to close in and form an enclosure if someone spots them.”

”What about the Wind Riders?”

”Wind Riders also need to be dispersed; they can advance a bit, giving us ample warning time,” Lair replied.

Wind Riders are Bipedal Flying Dragon Riders, not a variant of a profession, just chosen ones who have mastered Bipedal Flying Dragon Riding Technique—larger airships have large pens to house these medium-sized flying beasts, though typically not too many, two to three per ship being the limit.

Wind Riders do not have vocational requirements, mainly serving as scouting units on the battlefields above Sky Sea. However, more advanced guilds typically choose Lancers or Elementalists as backup candidates for Wind Riders, giving their Wind Riders certain combat capabilities.

”Notify other guilds,” Lair said, looking at the distant cloud wall. ”Tell them to also scatter their Wind Riders. Don’t worry about losses. Tell them if they catch those people, bounty and points will go to them, we just want the people.”

”We just want the people?” the swordsman was slightly surprised.

”That’s the instruction from above,” Lair glanced at the other party, saying, ”Rest assured, the rewards we receive once we get the people will be more than those things.”

”Does the top want these people?”

”It’s none of our business, don’t ask what you shouldn’t ask,” Lair replied calmly, ”Just do your job well.”

The swordsman was stunned but quickly nodded.

But it was at this moment that a sailor tumbled up from the below deck. ”Mr. Lair, we’ve just received news, the Onoi, Torch, and Seagull have simultaneously found the target, just as we expected, the other side is approaching from the direction of Mount Pieriad.”
