Pillar of Yita

These words made Fang Hong break out in a cold sweat, wishing he could find a hole to crawl into. He thought, Fang Hong, oh Fang Hong, are you even deceiving such an upright and kind-hearted Miss Knight? When did you become such a person? Ashamed, he grabbed the Papalarian who was about to slip away and pushed him forward, asking, ”But Miss Mei, do you recognize him?”

Mei slowly blinked her eyes, which were slightly misty in the wind and snow, and looked at Parker for a while, blushing: ”Sorry, although I am also a Papalarian, I actually can’t really recognize how Papalarians look. Have I seen this gentleman somewhere before?”

The air was quiet for a moment.

Even Tang Xin couldn’t help but be a bit speechless.

She thought this made a lot of sense. We all have difficulty recognizing foreigners who look alike, let alone being of different races. Although on the surface Papalarian, the essence of being an Invoker hasn’t changed, just because you turned into a Big Catfolk doesn’t mean your aesthetic will start appreciating a lioness.

But what is all this about? The Knight Order tasked a face-blind Miss Knight to find a target and bring them to justice. Is the brain of the Captain of this Knight Order okay?

But Tang Xin didn’t know, that Mei’s Knight Order had no other choice — because Miss Knight was in the Ancient Tower, closest to Colin Ishurian, and even if they wanted to dispatch others, those people were still on the road.

Even if it’s unreliable, it’s at least better than doing nothing, what more can the Knight Order do? They can’t just conjure people out of thin air, right?

...

The peculiar encounter with Miss Knight was just a little episode before the Seven Seas Travel Group left the hills of Piryay, of course, in the end, a certain cunning villain still managed to escape justice.

On one hand, because Mei herself couldn’t recognize the target right beside her, and on the other hand, Fang Hong suddenly remembered the misdeed he did with that art piece short sword. After a moment of heat, he quickly calmed down and decided it was better not to deal with this matter for the time being.

Someday, he will definitely take the Papalarian to apologize in person and find a way to solve the compensation issue for the art piece, but now is clearly not the time — because currently, they can’t afford it. Even though the Seven Seas Travel Group now has assets worth a few million, it’s not worth mentioning in the realm of art pieces.

They quickly reunited with the Seven Seas Traveler, during which Fang Hong also recounted in detail his underground adventure with Parker and Xiesta, and the matter with the array to everyone. Upon learning that they were actually tracking the movements of Dark Followers and attempting to thwart the Dark Saints’ conspiracy, Mei was greatly astonished, and from then on, even her way of looking at them changed——

Several times, she respectfully said to Fang Hong: ”Mr. Ade, if not for the Knight Order’s task, I really want to join you in fighting the dark forces to do my part.” When Miss Knight said this, she was unusually serious, making Fang Hong feel quite guilty for a while.

However, the underground adventure had already come to an end, those Dark Followers had long disappeared, leaving only an unresolved array and a mess. By comparison, it was actually the mural they saw in those underground ruins that conveyed more information.

After all, one of the primary goals of the Seven Seas Travel Group is to find Miss Ship’s Officer’s father. To find Sir Mawei, they must navigate the Elf Relic and the place where the Seven Spires and the Stars shine together. Currently, five out of the seven spires remain missing, and the only lead on the Elf Relic is the Hailin Crown, but at least one place where the stars shine together has been confirmed, which is undoubtedly fantastic news for them.

Especially for Lady Noble, it was noticeable that Hilveld’s mood had improved significantly these days.

After returning to the ship, everyone was somewhat curious about the newly temporarily joined Miss Knight, but the most excited was Ai Xiaoxiao, whose eyes were full of little stars when she saw Mei, exclaiming, ”Ah, so adorable!” Then she cautiously approached like she had seen her beloved plush toy, and upon finding Mei was actually very easy to talk to, well, there was no ”then”.

It was said that for several days after that, Mei avoided seeing her.

Of course, there was a good chance that the little girl didn’t have the chance either, because she was getting a hard scolding from Tang Xin for her messy homework.

”So what should we do about this thing?”

Fang Hong said this while in his captain’s room, and not far from him, beside Miss Maid, a small ball of light was flying around, seemingly very curious about this new environment on the ship.

It especially liked the central magic-guided power room. If Miss Maid had something to do, you could always find this small light ball in that place. At first, Fang Hong hadn’t figured out why, but later he found out that this small light ball was secretly absorbing magic power from the magic-guided engine.

Although it didn’t absorb much, this couldn’t be allowed. Such petty thievery, wasn’t it just like Parker? The Seven Seas Traveler already has one Night Thief Papalarian, and absolutely can’t accommodate a second, especially since magic power is far more important than food.
