Pillar of Yita

The Big Cat People walked over to check on Diket’s condition, then leisurely turned back to retort.

Tianlan was also quite dissatisfied: ”Why must the ladies return to the platform, do you have some bias against us ladies?”

”Not at all—” The chubby man, afraid of falling into political incorrectness, quickly changed his tune.

”Miss Tang Xin is our only Priest, she must return to the platform. You and Miss Gita are not skilled at Combat in narrow environments either.”

He looked at Miss Ship’s Officer, seemingly a bit afraid of her, paused and then said: ”And Miss Hilveld also needs to coordinate the entire situation, so returning to the platform is the best choice right now.”

Tianlan glared at him, considering it barely passable.

But the little girl with braided hair at this moment blocked their path: ”Wait a minute, where are you going to take the Knight? The Knight is my savior; without my permission, no one can take him away!”

”Hmph, who do you think you are?” Tianlan already couldn’t stand this little girl who was stirring trouble at the side, she shouted: ”Mr. Diket has long been acquainted with us, we’re taking him back for treatment, what’s it to you?”

The little girl was furious: ”Who are you then!?”

Tianlan said: ”I am Tianlan, who are you.”

The little girl presses on the hilt of her Curved Blade at her waist, raises her chin: ”Never heard of you, just a nobody. My father is Barbaltan-Penelope, I order you to treat the Knight here, nowhere else.”

Tianlan was livid, about to mock her, having never heard of a character like Barbaltan.

But Hilveld reached out to stop her, asking the little girl, ”Are you the daughter of the King of Sand?”

The little girl’s chin almost reaches the sky, nodding seriously.

Bakins was also slightly surprised, speaking in a booming voice, ”Wait, are you Princess Rupert Penelope?”

”That’s my sister.” The little girl hummed lightly, clearly annoyed that her sister was more famous than her.

”Then you are the Little Princess?”

The little girl nodded only now.

Tianlan listening on the side was confused, then turned to tug on Gita’s sleeve, asking who this Barbaltan-Penelope is.

Gita rolled her eyes: ”King of Sand Barbaltan, he is the king of the Istania People, Sister Tianlan, didn’t I ask you to read Colin Ishurian’s geography treatise?”

”Haven’t finished it,” Tianlan immediately felt sour, snorting from her nose: ”Hmph, just a Native Princess, nothing special.”

The Big Cat People also somewhat surprisingly glanced in that direction.

Among everyone, probably only Xiangzi was indifferent—what does a Princess matter to a cold-blooded assassin?

Hilveld only smiled and asked: ”Miss Affia, why are you here then? Can you tell us what happened before, how did Mr. Diket end up like this?”

”Ah, you know me?”

Hilveld smiled gently.

The little girl felt slightly flustered, quickly averting her gaze.

She had a good impression of Hilveld; she seemed to have a good upbringing, unlike those uncouth ’Savages.’ Moreover, she was seeing someone even prettier than her elder sister and mother for the first time.

She pondered for a moment before saying: ”We are not with those bad guys outside, but they plundered a batch of goods from my father this time, and my father sent me to negotiate with these people.”

”Sending a Princess to negotiate at the Sky Pirate’s den?” Luo Yu shook his head, ”Your father’s courage is something else.”

But the little girl scoffed, patting the Curved Blade at her waist: ”Do you think we’re like those pampered little Princesses in the Colin Ishurian palace?”

”In Istania, Princesses aren’t so sheltered, my sister and I have long started to handle things independently. What’s negotiation, I have my own fleet as well, my treasury is self-sufficient.”

”But how do you plan to negotiate with the Sky Pirates then?”

”Hmph, we Istania People have historically helped these scoundrels — that was during the era of the Giants’ war...”

The little girl dramatically sighed:

”Back then, they were not yet Sky Pirates, only Sea People upon the Sky Sea. Their heroic ancestors fought a bloody battle against the Giants’ minions—the Naga tribe on the overseas of Hanruina. At that time, we Istania People took great risks to shelter them, and even fought alongside them.”

”Our relationship lasted until Istania joined Colin Ishurian. After that, the Sky Pirates gradually deteriorated, eventually committing all sorts of evil deeds, and we parted ways.”

”But on the overseas of Hanruina, the Sky Pirates and we Istania People still don’t interfere with each other. This time they plundered our Merchant Group again, even killed our people—my father sent me to negotiate with them, to see if they’ve lost their minds.”

”And then?”

”Those damn scoundrels actually imprisoned my Guardian, and wanted to detain me. Luckily, the Knight arrived in time and rescued me.”

”Then you met us afterwards?” Bakins asked.

The little girl shook her head, her tone getting a bit down: ”After that, the Knight had been taking us to hide under Idus City. The Knight said he was investigating some matters, and would take me from this place when it got resolved.”
