Pillar of Yita

Mr. Diket finished the sentence in one breath, as if a wave of dizziness hit him, causing him to stagger and almost fall. Two servants quickly set him down, leaning him against the wall, allowing him to catch his breath.

For a moment, the passageway was somewhat silent. Outside, however, there was a series of rumbling noises, likely the sounds of explosions or perhaps the roar of spells.

Perhaps the Descendants of Flor clashed once more with the Blood Shark Sky Pirates, causing the tremors inside the passageway. The earth-toned ceiling seemed to split open, with sand pouring down like a waterfall.

Everyone was a bit silent as they watched the scene.

Since leaving Dolifen, Mr. Knight had gradually regained the strength he had in his prime. During the battle at Fanric, he exhibited at least the level of a Holy Seat Knight.

It was said that before he disappeared, he was indeed a fourth-tier Paladin of Marlan.

Who could injure a Great Knight over level forty to this extent?

Tang Xin, looking between the two servants, casually noticed that on Mr. Knight’s hand, a layer of ethereal black smoke was spreading downward. The black smoke seemed like the roots of a growing plant, branching out bit by bit, slowly flowing towards the direction of the opponent’s wrist as if it were alive.

At the same time, Milaila’s Holy Power within her seemed to move slightly. Tang Xin was startled and instinctively took a step forward, reaching out to touch the opponent’s arm.

But before she could touch the layer of ethereal black smoke, suddenly a sharp pain came from her fingertips. Everyone saw a flash of golden light, and the girl cried out in pain and retreated.

Hilveld, being quick and agile, reached out from behind to catch her. Tang Xin stepped back, barely able to stand firmly.

However, her face was pale, and it took her quite a while to come to her senses. She raised her head, looking in that direction, the depths of her dark eyes still held traces of a lingering fear.

At this moment, a little girl with braided hair walked over angrily, exclaiming: ”What did you do to Sir Knight!?”

Hilveld hurriedly signaled to Bakins, asking him to hold the little girl back.

The little girl shouted angrily: ”Let go of me, you’re also an Istania, a grown man bullying a child, aren’t you ashamed!”

Hilveld looked curiously at the little girl, finally realizing she was an Istania as well. She glanced at Bakins, and the sailor held the girl back, helplessly shrugging at his lady.

The little girl was anxiously calling her servants to help, but the two servants were loyal, knowing Bakins had saved their lives before. They couldn’t possibly repay kindness with malice.

Moreover, they were Istania People as well.

Hilveld looked at them, then spoke to explain: ”Calm down, no one has harmed Mr. Diket.”

”Stop lying, I clearly saw it! And Sir Knight has fainted, how can you say it’s not her fault!?”

The little girl pointed behind, angering after the previous incident, Diket had fallen into a complete unconsciousness, unresponsive to the world.

Hilveld shook her head: ”Mr. Diket is our companion, we couldn’t and have no reason to harm our own.”

”You’re also an Istania, and Istania People’s word is their bond, Bakins is my father’s servant, ask him if you don’t believe us.”

The little girl finally calms a bit, suspiciously looking at the Bosun beside her. Bakins released her and nodded affirmatively.

”But...”

Tang Xin suddenly shook her head.

”It’s not a curse.”

She gazed incredulously at the knight leaning against the wall, speaking in a murmur after quite a while:

”Earlier, I seemed to see a pair of golden eyes...”

Hilveld slightly startled, feeling a disruption inside, she asked: ”When you touched Mr. Diket’s curse?”

Tang Xin nodded. ”Mr. Knight has a force that seems extremely repulsive towards me, as I approached him, it repelled me.”

Gita thought for a moment, suddenly frowning as she spoke: ”Mr. Diket received the Immortal’s favor in Dolifen, and his power partly comes from Miss Misu, could it be Nikopolas’s power?”

Hilveld glanced at the ethereal black smoke on Diket’s hand, and asked, turning back: ”Then do you think any curse can erode Nikopolas’s power, Gita?”

”This...” Miss Natural Historian frowned, thinking for a long time, but ultimately shook her head: ”Sorry, I don’t know either, Miss Hilveld.”

”In any case,” Tianlan seemed somewhat worried: ”Let’s get Mr. Diket out of here first, back to the platform, and then figure out a way to lift the curse.”

She then looked at Tang Xin: ”Tang Xin sister is Milaila’s Priest, there must be some way, right?”

Ai Xiaoxiao also nodded repeatedly.

Luo Hao chimed in: ”——Folks, staying here is indeed not safe. I took a look at the surroundings earlier, the entrance outside isn’t well defensible.”

”What about Elisa and Parker?” Xiangzi asked.

”Simple, we split into two,” the fat man spoke confidently: ”Ladies go back to the platform, the others continue searching below. Big Cat and Mr. Bakins are responsible for helping Mr. Bunigu find his brother-in-law.”

”It’s Lion People, Paladin.”
