Pillar of Yita

Their fleet is supposed to head here from that place, and the news will surely reach sooner than he deduced before. But that makes it somewhat baffling—a month ago, the Fanric incident hadn’t occurred yet, so who would have known that the Blood Shark Sky Pirates were secretly operating in Idus?

Thinking of this, Fang Hong suddenly recalled another question. He turned and asked: ”Miss Atira, has the combat outside ended or is it still ongoing?”

Atira pondered slightly and did not answer immediately. Instead, she took out Luo Yu’s crystal and first contacted Tianlan.

”Hold on, let me ask.”

But there was no need for the Elf Miss to answer further, because Tianlan confidently informed the two that the battle outside was still raging fiercely.

She vividly described how, in the beginning, the attacking side seemed to have deployed a ’very formidable guy’ who could unleash ’ten-meter-wide’ cross-shaped Sword Qi, which momentarily caused the Blood Shark Pirates to fall into a collapse.

However, for some unknown reason, ’that guy’ disappeared, and later the Blood Shark Pirates also brought forth an equally formidable character, who fought back and reclaimed the positions that the attackers previously occupied, nearly pushing them back to the outskirts of Idus.

Fang Hong immediately understood; the attackers must be the Descendants of Flor. He had encountered that person who could unleash cross-shaped Sword Qi with ease. He also realized why the opponent never pursued again, likely because there were Dragon Knights or someone of similar caliber among the Blood Shark Pirates outside, forcing them to return to stabilize the battle.

Otherwise, if they continued wasting time below with him, the people from the Descendants of Flor might have already been driven back to their hometown.

But that was not his main concern—

Fang Hong asked this question because he thought of another detail that was not easily noticeable—the Descendants of Flor hadn’t completely cleared the Blood Shark Pirates from Idus City yet, and already they had deployed an elite squad into the tunnels beneath Idus City.

Idus has been in ruins for over a century, and those who used to make a living in this area, the smugglers, black market merchants, and various people living in the Grey Area either perished in the catastrophe or, if fortunate to survive, fled elsewhere to seek new lives.

Like Bunigu, few still live on this path, because one century later, those left are not necessarily aware of the vast underground world beneath Idus.

In fact, even the Blood Shark Pirates and Dragon Worshippers did not discover the hidden underground world beneath Idus. How did the Descendants of Flor find this place so quickly? Furthermore, where he currently is located is a tunnel within the tunnels; had he not accidentally discovered that hidden door, he would never have found this place.

It is absolutely impossible to be mere coincidence unless the Descendants of Flor already knew the secrets below. Fang Hong couldn’t help but wonder if they came for Eve, but according to R, there wasn’t much attention on that task in the community at all.

Even if the Descendants of Flor were suddenly interested, it wouldn’t necessitate bringing an entire fleet and deploying someone of the Dragon Knight’s level, right? Thus, returning to the initial question: how did the Descendants of Flor know the Blood Shark Pirates were here?

Seriously speaking, he, the Descendants of Flor, and the Dragon Worship Sect are considered enemies, and he would be glad to see them fight like dogs. However, after the incident with the Dragonfire Guild and Rain Listener, he had an almost instinctual keenness about the connection between the Invoker and the Dragon Worship Sect.

Fang Hong felt the issue wasn’t that simple.

Furthermore, he had a vague sense that he seemed to be ignoring something. After reorganizing every clue in his mind, suddenly a chilling thought emerged in his mind—he realized he might not be aware of a crucial detail.

Why would the Blood Shark Pirates not know there was another world underground in Idus? He suddenly recalled a passage Eve personally told him earlier:

’... More than thirty years ago, someone broke in here and stole the Dragon’s Heart. But I carefully hid half away; I don’t know where he took that Dragon’s Heart or what he did, but it surely wasn’t anything good.’

Thirty years ago, the Dragon Worship Sect had already invaded this place and stole half the Dragon’s Heart. Thirty years later, have they collectively forgotten about the underground matters, focusing instead on excavating the Dragon’s Initial Scale everywhere in Idus?

Moreover, Rolin and Pudra clearly know about the tunnels.

Why wouldn’t they tell others?

Fang Hong felt his hands tremble slightly, as if realizing he had stumbled upon a great secret—the one orchestrating the excavations was unaware of what happened thirty years ago, meaning he wasn’t connected with everything that happened in Dolifen, undermining his previous deductions.

But it also revealed another fact.

If the Nikopolas Resurrection Faction and the mastermind behind Dolifen thirty years ago are unrelated, where has the person manufacturing the disaster in Dolifen thirty years ago gone now? And what is their relationship with the current Dragon Worship Sect?

Or rather, what is their relationship with Rolin and Pudra?

More importantly, where did information related to the Descendants of Flor come from?

Suddenly, Fang Hong turned back and said to Atira: ”Miss Atira, please inform Hilveld and the others immediately. Do not return to the platform yet; have them bring Bunigu here once.”

”Ade, what’s wrong?”

”I need to ask him, where exactly is Idus’ City Hall.”
