Pillar of Yita

A small incident occurred in the South?

Where in the South? What kind of small incident?

An idea flashed through Fang Hong’s mind, but he didn’t pursue it further. Although he wasn’t very emotionally intelligent, he understood that asking more would only lead to displeasure. However, the other party’s words at least revealed some information to him.

He previously mentioned that he had come to this place a few times, which was obviously nonsense. He had never even been to the Colin Main Continent before, let alone this small place called Tulip Fortress. Yet the Clerk seemed not to doubt him at all, which at least indicated that the Clerk was also unfamiliar with this place.

Thus, the idea of reinforcing the place seemed unfounded, with the only possibility being that Tulip Fortress had already undergone a change in defense, replacing the personnel from top to bottom. And the Commander they were about to meet clearly wouldn’t be the same amiable old Knight.

Sophie, in the back, apparently guessed his thoughts too and sent him an appreciative emoji through the communication channel.

Thinking of something, she sighed, ”Honestly, it would be great if you could join Silver Weslan.”

”That previous Elementalist was also a promising talent, and that Xiangzi—I’ve heard even Odin couldn’t stop praising him. Where did you find all these talents?”

Fang Hong thought, you haven’t even noticed Gita yet. Miss Natural Historian is the true little genius who performed outstandingly in the battle of Aimumu Fortress, nothing like a novice Invoker going on an adventure for the first time.

As for Elisa, as a member of the Rain Listener’s troupe, she was also above average.

”He is from Tabopolis, and we have already reached an agreement with Tabopolis, Miss Sophie.”

”I’m aware of that.”

Sophie rolled her eyes at him.

Fang Hong never felt the name Tabopolis was so useful, even Lady Yugudola’s round face in his memory seemed to become amiable all of a sudden.

But Sophie continued, ”I’ve heard about that guild. It’s free, indeed, but it’s also embroiled in troubles right now. You better be careful...”

”Troubles?” Fang Hong was taken aback. He hadn’t heard of this before, and there was no news from Gita and Luo Yu, nor had Yugudola informed them of anything.

”Since the second Mount Holy Pact incident, the V.E.M. alliance has already started working on regulating the Free Guild. I don’t know if you’ve heard any related news...?”

Fang Hong noted that she used the name V.E.M. alliance rather than the Super Competitive League—Silver Weslan originally broke away from the Rose Cross Army, so it also belonged to the Rainbow Alliance, along with its arch-nemesis, the Descendants of Flor, sharing the political legacy of V.E.M.

Yet there had long been rumors that, due to the reasons of the first and second Mount Holy Pact incidents, Silver Weslan and the Rainbow Alliance had ideological rifts with the Descendants of Flor and had the intention of parting ways with V.E.M.

Now it seemed, it was indeed true.

And Sophie was speaking of something Fang Hong had also heard about, so he asked, ”You mean the Super Competitive League’s new regulations requiring all guilds to have a foundation in the real world?”

Sophie nodded.

Fang Hong knew this matter actually originated from the mysterious disappearance of the Dragonfire Guild and the Rain Listener. Using this as a pretext, the Super Competitive League launched this initiative to all guild organizations.

And gradually formalized the initiative into new regulatory standards.

However, having witnessed these two matters firsthand, he initially didn’t find anything amiss and even thought it made perfect sense. After all, the harm caused by the Dragonfire Guild and the Rain Listener’s collusion with the Dragon Worship Sect was real.

But Sophie shook her head, ”You’re too naive, Ade. The Dragonfire Guild and the Rain Listener aren’t Free Guilds at all; that’s just the propaganda need of V.E.M. to confuse people. What’s it got to do with the Free Guild?”

She said this not through the communication channel but quietly aloud.

Fang Hong’s mouth dropped open at her words, realizing that it indeed seemed so, but V.E.M. never mentioned this, giving people the impression that such incidents were more likely to happen within the Free Guild.

He scratched his head, realizing his thinking was rather shallow, though this was because the matter itself had little to do with him. He couldn’t help but ask, ”But what does this have to do with Tabopolis’s troubles?”

Fang Hong knew that although Tabopolis was a Free Guild, it wasn’t a small guild; establishing a foundation in the real world wouldn’t be difficult.

Sophie input, ”The relationship lies in the fact that this matter caused divisions within Tabopolis. Some of the high-level members in the guild reckon since things are a done deal, why not take the opportunity to attract some external investment, expand Tabopolis’s influence, and leap into the ranks of first- and second-tier guilds.”

”But the main administrators of the guild all oppose this view because it goes against the original intention of Tabopolis’s establishment. If external funding were allowed, how would Tabopolis differ from those commercial clubs?”

”The divide is quite severe now, and internal conflicts are rife. Because of this issue, most of Tabopolis’s Elite Corps have already been ordered to return to their headquarters at Gula Port—”

She turned back to look at him, ”Wouldn’t you say that’s trouble?”

Only then did Fang Hong understand why he couldn’t contact Red Leaf or Yugudola—it seemed to be due to internal reasons within Tabopolis. In fact, he was also curious, which side did Yugudola and the others ultimately support?
