Pillar of Yita

After midnight, the snow let up a bit.

Fang Hong finished the remaining tasks at hand—except for the new Magic Guided Reactor, which couldn’t start due to a lack of materials. He inquired Tianlan about the young man’s Alchemist status from earlier.

Tianlan found it a bit strange and replied, ”Isn’t he just an ordinary Alchemist? What’s there for Brother Ade to be concerned about?”

”Just a bit curious,” Fang Hong replied. ”I heard that he is a student of Pudra.”

”That’s no big deal, Brother Ade,” Tianlan clearly had a poor impression of the person. Although among the Invokers, there are inevitably some oddities; during her time with the Twelve-Colored Iris, she had seen such people, but experiencing it firsthand was apparently another matter. ”Luo Yu is also a student of the Golande Element Association’s vice-chairman, so what’s there to be proud of? It’s just an entry-level position anyway.”

As a trainee from the Twelve-Colored Iris, she had seen many such entry-level positions, and even more exaggerated ones were not uncommon.

But for Invokers, an entry-level position doesn’t mean much, especially for those with exceptional talent.

Fang Hong couldn’t help but smile at her disgruntled expression.

They conversed in the corridor of the storage warehouse. Through a side window, they could see the black outline of the mountains and fields north of the Tibial Creek, becoming clearer as the snowstorm eased and the edges of the forest became more distinct.

The scenery in the snowfield rose and fell slowly with Mr. Greyrock’s footsteps, adding a certain mood—only from a distance could one see the lights of the Masongke Creek outpost piercing the night, faintly reflecting in their eyes.

He thought for a moment and said, ”At least it suggests he should have a guild backing him.”

”Just a small guild, Brother Ade.” Tianlan shook her head like a rattling drum. Though she seemed somewhat absent-minded, her perception was quite high.

Fang Hong nodded in agreement.

However, what he cared about wasn’t really that.

Pudra is one of the most renowned Alchemist masters in the central region of Colin Ishurian, and his Dulun School focuses on Magic Potion Studies, known for a unique magic solution that significantly boosts the storage limit of Magic Crystals and resolves overheating issues effectively.

This thing could probably be very helpful for the next stage of his Type-One Crystal, specifically the preparation of the Holy Crystal γ form he envisioned. Although not the main material, it is one of the key mediums.

The reenactment work of Type-One Crystal and Zero-Type Crystal is one of Fang Hong’s most vital goals, even prioritized over the construction of the ’Seven Seas Traveler’. At the same time, it itself is related to whether the fairy-type Dragon Knight can be successful.

Thus, ever since he prepared the β Crystal in Fenris, he had already started preparing for the next stage, and the unique magic solution from the Dulun School was exactly the kind of material he was considering.

The reason for choosing to enter the Kudi Mountain Range from Dulun was also partly for this reason.

However, the Dulun School is located in the central region of Colin Ishurian, much like the mountain dwellers living there, the Alchemists here tend to be conservative. Thus, such a unique magic solution is not sold to outsiders, but rather supplied in limited quantities annually to the Golande Artisan Association—he had inquired in Golande, and these potions partly supply the Artisan Association and partly the Royal Household, with ordinary people having almost no access.

The Adventurers’ Guild does have some stock, but the exchange price is exorbitant, and it can’t be bought with money—it can only be exchanged with points, which is practically astronomical for their fledgling team.

Yet, within the Dulun School, it is said that some magic solutions are circulated, making it much easier to acquire if you become one of them. However, becoming part of this school isn’t easy for outsiders, so upon hearing Pudra’s name suddenly, Fang Hong took it to heart.

After all, the latter is indeed the soul of the Dulun School in this era.

But from Tianlan’s words, it seemed there wasn’t much to pay attention to. Not only was the other person just an ordinary Invoker and not a high-ranking member of the Dulun School, but with their current relations, there was probably no hope.

With that thought, Fang Hong’s interest waned considerably. He asked about the troll named Mountain Kou Ke.

He naturally had some thoughts about this BOSS, too.

After all, this was the purpose of their trip — boosting the team’s strength, and what offers more substantial rewards than taking down a BOSS? This topic was clearly much more interesting to Tianlan.

Hearing Fang Hong’s question, she thought for a moment while tiptoeing and sweeping off the snow on the window sill.

Then Tianlan replied, ”I also asked those people, but that warrior named Lan Wuxin didn’t know much either. They only heard that the troll appeared near the north side of Tibial Creek. It’s said some Forest Guardians saw it in the creek valley a day ago, which led to the evacuation of workers from nearby logging camps, prompting the Adventurers’ Guild to post a bounty for someone to investigate overnight.”

”What was the result?”

”Naturally, nothing was found,” Tianlan shrugged. ”Though it’s also possible that Lan Wuxin and their team were too low-level, driven back by the Undead in the forest before reaching the place.”

Fang Hong wasn’t particularly surprised.

This BOSS was talked about as a Lord Level creature. In Eteliria, a Lord Level creature generally refers to some of the more powerful wild species, which usually yield some quite rare materials, and the knowledge and experience gained from defeating them are also more substantial.
