Pillar of Yita

However, it was a pity that she couldn’t come to see them off. Although she expressed this wish in the communication, Miss Natural Historian still felt a bit regretful.

Miss Yugudola was actually a good person, it’s just that everyone in the group had some misgivings towards her.

Gita couldn’t help but recall what Miss Yugudola said to her and Luo Yu before they set off:

”You don’t need to think too much.”

”Leave the matters of the guild to me—”

She was quite short, even shorter than Luo Yu by a head, and only reached out to pat Gita’s shoulder. Then, with small furrowed eyebrows, she looked at Luo Yu: ”Luo Yu, you’ve grown too tall.”

Luo Yu could only smile wryly.

”In any case, this is your first adventure.”

”Do well.”

”Although I retained Tabopolis as your origin, you only need to be responsible for your team afterwards.”

”If any guild higher-ups give you random orders, just ignore them.”

”You can come to me.”

The two looked at her somewhat puzzled, not understanding why she would say that.

Yugudola smiled: ”Just a precaution, always have to be wary of those blockheads, you know.”

Both nodded in agreement.

”Alright,” Yugudola replied, ”Go back. I shouldn’t have come to find you; it’s a bit against the rules. I was just worried that your lack of experience might put you at a disadvantage.”

”After all, it is your first adventure—”

”Mr. Ade wouldn’t mind these small matters.” Gita shook her head.

”Precisely because he wouldn’t mind, we must be more discreet,” Yugudola smiled slightly, ”The same goes for getting along with teammates. Respect is always mutual.”

If Red Leaf were here, they would definitely hold their forehead and say, ”Miss Yugudola, you may not get along well with others in the guild either—”

But Gita and Luo Yu both just nodded very honestly.

And this was what Yugudola liked about these two little ones.

Gita withdrew her thoughts, sighed softly, and watched as Mr. Greyrock walked farther away in the wind and snow, gradually leaving the outer walls of Golande behind, with only a thin line left on the horizon.

The Burden Beast of Grey Ridge was naturally resistant to the cold, and its thick fur made it fearless of the wind and snow, carrying them across the north of Colin, through Tibial Creek, reaching the Kudi Mountain Range. Along the way, besides a few small towns where they could resupply, it was all barren mountains and wild ridges.

Everyone understood in their hearts that after leaving Golande, a long journey was about to begin.

...

In the Golande Port District, Yugudola also put down the communication crystal in her hand. She raised her head, her azure eyes reflecting the harbor gradually being covered by accumulating snow.

On the Sky Sea of Eteliria, there was no saying of frozen or unfrozen ports, but due to the dissipation of Ether Magic Power in winter, some northern seas were indeed unfavorable for navigation in winter.

Of course, Golande’s winter port was still busy, with ships coming and going from time to time, the orange lights on the ships adding the only warm hue to the cold-toned port.

Someone else asked upon seeing her finish the call: ”Captain, have you started the operation?”

Yugudola turned her head, glanced at him: ”Wrap it up.”

”Wrap it up?”

”Operation canceled, pack up and go home.”

”What?” The others were taken aback, the target was just ahead, why pack up and go home?

At first, they thought it was the usual joke of this lady, but upon seeing the serious look on her face, this time she seemed to be serious. People looked at each other, not quite understanding what was happening, having been busy for more than a month on this quest line, finally about to reach a satisfactory result.

Was the information wrong?

Or was the target wrong?

Zi Feiyu also stepped out from the crowd and asked, ”What’s wrong?”

Yugudola shook her head: ”Orders from the guild headquarters.”

”What’s going on, the guild people have gone mad?”

”Not really, it’s the intention of the Super Competitive League.”

”The Super Competitive League wants us to abandon this quest?” Zi Feiyu seemed a bit surprised, the Super Competitive League indeed had strong constraints over guilds and clubs, but not to the point of interfering in regular guild activities.

”It’s not just our quest,” Yugudola shook her head, ”all guild activities have been halted.”

”What?”

”It is said that matters concerning the Rain Listener and the Dragonfire Guild have caught the attention of the higher-ups, requiring all guilds to conduct self-checks within a time limit, and the Super Competitive League will also send people down to station within all guilds.”

”But aren’t we already dealing with this matter?” Others found it a bit unreasonable, ”And we are also victims of the Dragonfire Guild incident, don’t they have brains?”

”They don’t quite think so.”

”No one can be excluded from suspicion,” Yugudola quietly replied.

Zi Feiyu looked at his old partner: ”But isn’t it actually the case?”

Lady Grey gave him a glance: ”Why be so smart? Something like that, there’s a rumor the Super Competitive League wants to further strengthen constraints on guilds, and our application to enter the Second World has also encountered trouble, there’s a notion within the league that all guilds after the Stargate must have a real-world foundation.”

”The Rain Listener also has a real-world foundation,” Zi Feiyu smiled wryly: ”Does it make sense?”

”Whether it makes sense is one thing, logically it’s reasonable, strengthening the oversight on the other side does indeed help prevent such things from happening,” Yugudola looked into the distance: ”Of course, you know, what actually happens is another matter.”

”What did the guild say?”

”It’s a never-ending debate. If the Super Competitive League acts willfully, our pressure will be great, but Tabopolis is a Free Guild, and that cannot be changed.”

Zi Feiyu looked at Yugudola, her words sounded more like she was convincing herself.

But she didn’t explain: ”Let’s take it step by step, we still have to do the superficial work, just after the guild, the next step is the Adventure Group.”

”Adventure Group?”

”I have a premonition.”

Yugudola’s gaze seemed to pass through the port district, looking in a direction covered in wind and snow.

After a while, without waiting for the discussion to arrive at a conclusion, she turned around and walked into the wind and snow in the opposite direction. Before leaving, she dropped a cryptic remark:

”Red Leaf is coming back.”
