Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 1372: Mocking gaze

From the conversation of the few guards, this battle squad was called Light Wing. Ye Zhongming thought about it but had never heard about them in his two lives.

This was a small battle squad that lived around the rainforest. They had around a hundred members who weren’t very strong. But the leader and a few others were decent. The boss was a six-star evolved, and the others were five-star.

They were a very typical battle squad in the apocalypse. The lower layer evolved weren’t high leveled and the upper layer ones were strong.

This was a reliance and ripping-off relationship.

The lower layer evolved relied on the organisation and boss to protect themselves from being eliminated from the world. The boss relied on the subordinates’ values to strengthen themselves.

They were in a better situation than battle squads in other regions. After all, the rainforest had an abundant amount of resources. The Light Wing battle squad developed quickly, especially when it wasn’t that dangerous inside, and many of their levels increased.

That smart person looked at Ye Zhongming and observed. This person wasn’t very usable, as the few allies around had no thoughts about betraying Light Wing and were doing their duties. This person, be it strength or status, wasn’t able to order or affect the others, so even if he had thoughts of betraying, he was useless.

Moreover, Ye Zhongming estimated that this kid just wanted to get some benefits for him and maybe open his space equipment.

Ye Zhongming wouldn’t expose his identity now as it would cause many uncertain outcomes. He wouldn’t be able to guess if these people would respect him and let him go or if they would kill him as they were afraid of news being leaked.

Time passed, and a few hours later, this place was still very silent, as if nothing had happened.
But not far from this place, something happened that caused the various battle squads in the rainforest headaches.

Since yesterday, squads of female warriors started to dash about the camps in the area.

They were very weird. They came to some camps and made rude requests to take a look. Because there weren’t many of them and they wore good equipment, some people were tempted to attack them. They were then attacked. Not only did they fight back, they went all out and killed these people. No one knew what they were searching for, but anyone who stopped them was killed.

No one expected them to be so strong. A few dozen of them were like huge armies, and no battle squad could block them.

News spread, and everyone learned. These women didn’t want to wipe the organizations out and were searching for something. If they were let in, they wouldn’t kill anyone and would leave after searching.

So, their search was very efficient.

Of course, the most terrifying thing was the female evolved flying in the sky. She held a scythe like the god of death, landing directly into the camps. Be it people who came to ask or those who tried to stop her because they thought she was an enemy, the moment they showed animosity, this woman would kill them mercilessly.

In a short two days, more than half of the factions around were visited by these women, and many people died. But there was nothing they could do. People did fight back. There were some six-star and many five-star evolved that made up a thousand-men battle squad who attacked them, but the hundred females destroyed them. They left a few hundred corpses, killing the leadership level and wiping out that organisation.

These women didn’t chase and continued to search. Based on the people who witnessed that battle, their expressions didn’t change.

Everyone knew that these female killers weren’t in a good mood.

This storm continued, and it still hadn’t affected Light Wing battle squad. The boss left for half a day before reappearing. Along with him was a middle-aged man with twenty bodyguards.

“Brother Long, he is the one.”

Light Wing’s boss was very respectful.

The person called Brother Long acknowledged and looked at Ye Zhongming. He then looked at the monster without crystals and told Light Wing’s boss to hand him the space equipment.

Ye Zhongming frowned. He knew that Brother Long was the help that was found. Was it a good smith or a special space job user? If not, what could he do with the equipment?

Brother Long was more knowledgeable than Light Wing. He looked at the battle contribution badge and bit it. He said, “This thing is mine.”

Light Wing’s boss hesitated. Since the space equipment was the more important thing, he nodded unwillingly.

He then checked the few space equipment, “I want 70%.”

Light Wing’s boss was annoyed. They agreed to a 50/50 split, so why did he change his mind?

Brother Long said slowly, “You didn’t mention how many equipment there was. Each of them has its own memory, and I would need to put in more effort. If you are not willing, then I will only open one.”

Light Wing’s boss stared at Brother Long.

He had did a little trick and told him that he had space equipment that needed opening. He didn’t mention how many and thought it could cause Brother Long to take a slight loss. Who knew this person would ignore that and not give him face at all.

Although he would have to give up 20 more percent, having 30% was better than nothing.

Thus, he had no choice but to agree.

Brother Long smiled. He was satisfied with what he was about to get.

Close to four years had passed in the apocalypse. People with space equipment would be strong or have a faction that was strong. The good things inside would be plentiful.

“I also need to remind you, this person must have an identity. After I find a way to open the space equipment, even if he doesn’t die, he would lose his mind. You need to handle the organization that would take revenge.”

Light Wing’s boss had a cruel smile, “We would all get things in a while; no one would leak this. This person will end up as a corpse so who would know? Even if he is the son of god, he has nothing to do with us!”

“Okay then.” Brother Long walked slowly to Ye Zhongming. He looked at that injured face and pressed his head.

“Sorry, the world is like this. If you have to blame something, blame your life. It will hurt in a while, just bear with it and it will stop.”

POwer spread from his hand and entered Ye Zhongming’s mind.

But Brother Long felt slightly weird. Why was the guy’s gaze a littel weird?

It was as if he was mocking him?
