Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 1368: Unrest Season

The border wasn’t a cliff and not a thick mist. It wasn’t a space gate with ravaging energy.

It just looked like an ordinary rock.

But these rocks looked too similar, or rather, they were all the same. There were many circular holes that were very orderly, looking like many horns.

This border looked man-made.

Ye Zhongming couldn’t imagine someone trapping people from the Freedom Territory here.

These people didn’t try to break the restraints here to see the outside world.

Ye Zhongming didn’t believe the octopus limb-like border was natural.

He observed it for some time and confirmed that nothing would happen before he placed his hand on it. He touched and hoped to find a clue.

It was tough, rough, and not cold.

Ye Zhongming frowned as he stood under the border.
This stone thing was weird because it was man-made. The stone wasn’t cold but warm, and it was so high that you couldn’t see the end.

But although it was weird, he couldn’t find any reason why it was the case.

Ye Zhongming could only walk along the border to find anything that could help or give him hints.

The more he walked, the more shocked he was.

It had no end, and the height had no end either. The bottom connected to the ground was smooth and clean with no moss-like lifeforms.

This didn’t make sense in the food chain.

It was as if… Someone was cleaning and wiping this every day.

But no one would do that. There probably weren’t many in the territory that held such a job.

After half an hour, Ye Zhongming saw no difference.

He stopped and sat on the spot.

Apart from despair, there was no point in continuing forward.

He took the Bug Emperor Honey out and forced himself to cultivate to calm down. He released the two ice birds and allowed them to fly upwards to see if the barrier was truly endless.

After a day, the ice birds returned, tired. They told him they hadn’t found the end.

Ye Zhongming’s last bit of hope was gone.

He stood up, took out Wind and Lightning, and sliced toward the wall.

Speaks flew. The weapon, which was extremely sharp and could even slice the crystal pillars that supported Scarbi City, could not do anything to this stone.

Ye Zhongming was defeated and sat down.

To be honest, he had never felt so much despair since reviving. It might be tough and dangerous on Earth or in the Secret Realm, and he might die.

But he was always pumped and confident that he could fight his way out.

But now, he lost his sense of direction.

He couldn’t cross the border. This was the only way he thought of getting out of this space. If it didn’t work, how would he get back?

Was he really going to grow old here like the other outsiders?

He was in a bad mood. Fortunately, he had lived two lives. He adjusted himself and read the diary.

He recorded the many marks that Lanjin translated. He knew what they meant even if he didn’t understand the words on the mark.

He only paid attention to the outsider information. This time, he read it carefully.

He actually found some other records.

It would occasionally mention a phrase.

Unrest Season.

Ye Zhongming didn’t know what it meant, but from how it was used, it meant that the space would shake every period of time. It would form an attraction that would absorb some power from everyone’s body. Everyone would become weak, and the time it took to recover would differ for different people.

The Unrest Season only worked on humans. The other lifeforms were not affected.

This special and weird season became everyone’s nightmare. Explorers would hide in the city, and when this period of weakness occurred, lifeforms would attack the city.

Many cities were broken in history just like that.

There wasn’t much information about Unrest Season, and it mostly recorded how confused people were. Of course, Ye Zhongming might not have fully recorded Lanjin’s translations of this.

Unrest Season had a cycle. Although it wasn’t very accurate, there was a rough time.

Ye Zhongming calculated it and saw that it was about to arrive. In Earth days, it should arrive within two to twenty days.

No wonder the explorers were walking toward the inner parts of the valley. Should he find a place to hide?

Ye Zhongming calculated and gave up. With his speed, to head to another city before Unrest Season comes, was not possible. Since that was the case, why not stay here? Anyway, the Unrest Season didn’t affect the two ice birds. Even if he was weak, they could protect him.

He couldn’t find a way back, so he could only cultivate here and wait for an opportunity.

Three days passed, and the Unrest Season came on the fourth day.

Ye Zhongming was caught off guard and was controlled by this attraction.

A mysterious power was absorbing his energy. This absorption came from the border wall behind him!

This attraction made him feel bad as if his body was about to rip open. But he didn’t feel any rage or unhappiness. Instead, he couldn’t hide his excitement.

He felt like he had found a way back!

When the Unrest Season came, the border wall became much softer, as if it had come alive. The holes were giving off some energy, which was that attraction!

The attraction of the Unrest Season came from the border wall!

Ye Zhongming guessed that the people of the Freedom Territory knew about this; they just didn’t record it in the diary, which was why he didn’t know.

No matter what, the border wall that was so tough that he couldn’t do anything to it, seemed to be… Breakable!
