Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 1742: Chapter 553: Complete Victory, Li Yangtian’s Allegiance (Part 2)

Compared to the previous fifty meters width, a kilometer is naturally considered very large. But to a twenty-thousand-strong army, what does a kilometer matter?

Even if each person only needs half a meter of space, the width of a kilometer would at most allow Caiqiu’s army to line up 2,000 people horizontally. Such a small number of people, thinking of breaking through the Xia Army in one go, would be pure wishful thinking.

However, Caiqiu’s strength is indeed astonishing!

Hundreds of Xianyang Level fighters attacking simultaneously, the Xia Army’s Divine Machine Crossbows and bows and arrows were completely depleted within less than a quarter of an hour. And when these ranged methods failed, what followed naturally was close combat.

It must be said that the overall strength of Caiqiu’s army indeed surpasses the Xia Army’s. But the number of troops participating at the valley entrance was too large, and with the Xia Army as the defending side, it was enough to level these discrepancies.

If it were just a simple confrontation between armies, Qiu Peng could confidently assert that there was absolutely no chance for Caiqiu to break through the valley, even for a short time.

However, Caiqiu had too many Xianyang Level fighters, and the resolve of Cai Qianshan to march south was astonishingly great. From the actions of those Xianyang Level fighters who were willing to sacrifice their lives to open the valley for the army, it was apparent.

Hundreds of Xianyang Level fighters from Caiqiu simultaneously exerted force, leading the army on a fierce attack. During the two hours at dawn, they broke through the gap a total of six times, with the last being the most dangerous, and Caiqiu’s army had at least over fifty thousand break through.

If it weren’t for Yuwen Dao’s previous night’s deployment, mobilizing all the Earth-digging Realm fighters from the nearest areas around Jinyang City to gather 150,000 Earth-digging Realm fighters, who at the last moment took Sunlight Pills to timely provide aid, the result of tonight’s battle would not have been as it is now.

The last time, which was half an hour ago, Caiqiu’s five thousand troops were forcibly driven back by the Xia Army.

At the final critical moment, Cai Qianshan even temporarily left Xia Hong and set a big fire, attempting to use the widespread fire to save Caiqiu’s declining army, but it was ultimately dissolved by the giant water column spat out by the Three-Rowed Beast Emperor Blood Golden Cicada in Lord Xia Hong’s hand.

At this point, Caiqiu’s army can only accept the reality of defeat and retreat!

“The Lord must be seriously injured, the giant water column last spat out by the Blood Golden Cicada almost got countered by Cai Qianshan’s Golden Body. I saw the Lord vomit blood with my own eyes; Yuwen Dao and Yuan Cheng are likely healing him as protectors at this moment.”

Upon hearing Qiu Peng’s words, Luo Yuan and Lin Kai’s expressions tightened slightly.

Li Yangtian, who had recently joined Great Xia, didn’t react much, just shook his head and said softly, “Only Director Yuan returned to Jinyang with the Lord, I saw the Lord give some instructions to Director Yuwen at the end, and Director Yuwen headed in the direction of the valley.”

Qiu Peng and the others had a playful look on their faces.

The battle at dawn was too intense; the three were fighting on the ground with the army, having no time to worry about the battle in the sky. Moreover, the battle between the Lord and Cai Qianshan and a group of Tribulation Body Realm fighters couldn’t be interfered with by them anyways, as without Flying Ability at the time, what could they do even if they observed?

Li Yangtian had been observing the battle in the sky, clearly because he had recently joined Great Xia, staying vigilant on purpose.

“Brother Li, what’s our Lord’s strength like?”

After all, having just turned to Great Xia, you can’t expect such loyalty from him, can you?

Qiu Peng didn’t blame Li Yangtian for it, simply turned to him, and asked with a bit of jest.

Li Yangtian had long noticed the look in the eyes of the three, knew his previous careful thoughts had been exposed, but he wasn’t worried. After thinking for a moment, a trembling look appeared in his eyes, his face gradually showed reverence, and he bowed to Qiu Peng, saying, “The Lord is truly a Heavenly Person, fortunate for me to join under the Lord’s command and become a member of Great Xia!”

After all, this time, Great Xia’s opponent was the two vassal towns, and if Li Yangtian claimed he never had a single thought before, that would be impossible.

He had helped Great Xia conquer Long Mingyuan without shedding blood and took Dragon Valley Town, naturally he could also help the two vassal towns against Great Xia. Li Yangtian didn’t think such behavior was wrong; he helped Great Xia because he saw no hope in Dragon Valley Town. If he saw no hope in Great Xia, his agile nature would naturally shift allegiance to the two vassal towns.

But after the fierce battle just now, his thoughts had completely shifted.

As night fell, the battle casualties had already been calculated.

In this battle, the Xia Army’s soldiers had a total of 18,000 deaths and killed 23,000 of the enemy, while also capturing over 5,000 from Caiqiu; in terms of top combat power, Great Xia lost 9 Xianyang Level fighters, while Caiqiu lost 33, and the Lord Xia Hong even personally slew a Tribulation Body Realm expert!

Simply saying victory was no longer sufficient to describe the Xia Army’s battle; a complete and overwhelming victory was more fitting.

This wasn’t some town-level battle, Great Xia’s opponent was Caiqiu Fan, one of the four vassals of Moao River.

Twenty thousand troops were certainly not all of Caiqiu’s strength, but the twenty-three thousand Xia Army deployed last night was also not Great Xia’s full strength.

Great Xia possesses the strength to confront feudal towns directly!

If this thought had only fully formed in Li Yangtian’s mind after the battle, leading to his decision to fully pledge allegiance to Great Xia; then during the previous battle when he saw with his own eyes Cai Qianshan’s mighty palm strike Xia Hong, resulting in Xia Hong merely retreating several hundred meters without any significant harm, he had already extinguished all those unnecessary thoughts.
