Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 1733: Chapter 550: Riot, A Spark Ignites_2

Over thirty thousand serfs had truly risen. Not to mention the hundred or so managers by his side, even the entire five hundred men of the Tiger Tail Village’s defense squad couldn’t possibly stop them.

If they could swiftly execute the hundred or so leading the front, it would be enough to intimidate the remaining serfs. Once they gained momentum, the problem would become substantial.

Fortunately, these serfs did not have weapons, only the iron picks and shovels given to them last night for clearing the snow paths.

The picks and shovels were civilian tools, made from the most common Ten-forged Iron. With these, how could they possibly think they could risk their lives against them?

Zhang Hai’s body charged straight forward, as these thoughts quickly flashed through his mind, a sinister smile crossed his face, commanding the hundred or so people beside him.

Unfortunately, just as he was about to speak, a cold gleam suddenly stabbed from the side, directly interrupting him.

Whoosh……

A weapon appeared in the serf’s hand. Zhang Hai was momentarily stunned, then swiftly swung his knife to block. However, the speed of the cold gleam was too fast; his blade barely lifted when his chest was already hit.

Poof!

It was a long spear.

The cold gleam was the spear’s tip. Zhang Hai wasn’t wearing armor, so the tip met almost no resistance, penetrating directly through his skin membrane into the flesh. The spear bearer possessed terrifying strength and seemed to strike with vengeance. After succeeding, he angrily roared and increased the force once more.

“Hah……”

Crack!

His bones were held by the spear’s gleam, and a deathly sensation crept into his nostrils. The sinister expression on Zhang Hai’s face completely vanished, leaving only fear and panic.

“Father, save me!”

This wasn’t merely calling his father in his final moments; Zhang Hai was fully aware that his father was watching him from the watchtower at the village entrance. The force on this spear’s tip was at least above 20 pounds, and the managers by his side were unable to respond at all. The only one capable of saving him was his father.

However, the father he longed for did not appear to save him.

Thud!

After the bones shattered, the spear tip continued forward, piercing straight through the heart and exiting through the back.

“Sigh……”

Blood sprayed from his back, Zhang Hai’s body flown backward. A dim darkness flashed through his pupils. Though impaled by the long spear, he turned his head in disbelief towards the village entrance, wanting to know why his father hadn’t appeared in time to save him.

Yet, upon turning, he discovered that at the village entrance, his father and the man from Qinghua City, Huang Qingyuan, were already engaged in combat.

“Young Master Zhang, do you remember me?”

Zhang Hai was already on the brink of death, but upon hearing the unclear voice of the spear’s owner, he turned his head to look. After recognizing the face of the other person, his eyes were still filled with unfamiliarity.

The bearer of the long spear was a middle-aged man with a terrifying appearance. It was frightening because the man’s face bore seven or eight long scars resembling giant centipedes. His mouth was also covered in healed scars, and given the unclear voice, his tongue was likely severed by someone.

Did he know this person?

As this thought flashed through Zhang Hai’s mind, a sharp pain struck his throat.

It turned out the middle-aged man felt Zhang Hai did not recognize him. In a fit of rage, he quickly withdrew the spear and pierced through Zhang Hai’s throat bone.

“You ruined my face, cut my tongue. My brother’s family was destroyed, young heirs died in prison, and you don’t remember me, you bastard, you bastard, you bastard…”

After nearly three years, Hu Tiechuan’s tongue had healed, but speaking like a normal person was no longer possible.

Seeing Zhang Hai did not remember him, Hu Tiechuan’s accumulated rage over three years instantly surged into his mind, his pupils turning bloodshot red.

Three years ago, the matter of suffering from Slave Status, though orchestrated by Zhang Yiqing, ultimately, the root cause stemmed from Zhang Hai.

Zhang Yiqing’s idea to refuse returning their wives’ Slave Status was incited by Zhang Hai, who desired the wife Wang Qing due to Zhang Hai being a recent arrival from Qinghua City.

In reality, the desperate act of stealing his wife’s Registration Book was forced by Zhang Hai. His wife Wang Qing and his sister-in-law Fang Jing were both slaves to the Zhang Family. Zhang Hai had malicious intentions, and if he didn’t remove his wife from Slave Status in time, staying one more day in the Zhang Family would lead to harm from this bastard.

It’s laughable; after causing such torment to both families, him and his brother losing their sons, and nearly dying in Qinghua City himself, Zhang Hai this bastard didn’t remember him!

Fortunately, disaster and blessing are always intertwined. Now, the two brothers not only gained immense power but also had the huge support of Lord Hong Yu. As long as they coordinated with the General Leader for the uprising, disrupt Cai Qiu’s army rear, and assist the lord for victory, he and his brother could garner the lord’s favor, potentially ascending to the heavens.

That Lord Hong Yu was no Princely Heir, but truly a Lord of the Feudal Town!

As this thought flashed through Hu Tiechuan’s mind, he felt extremely excited.

Though Su Xing’er had not divulged much, to him, the fact that Cai Qiu mobilized two hundred thousand troops southward meant that the Lord Hong Yu he joined three years ago must be a lord of a Feudal Town.

Landgrave, that Lord Hong Yu was truly a Landgrave!

As Hu Tiechuan grew excited, the fully stirred-up thirty thousand serfs had already flooded like tides, completely engulfing the managers of Tiger Tail Village.

Some of Tiger Tail Village’s managers weren’t dumb, quickly retreating and summoning the village’s defense squad, attempting to close the village gates and block the mutinous serf faction outside.
