Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 1569: Chapter 589: In the VIP Lounge with Lin Qingci...

Lin Qingci instantly forgot the worry she’d had just now and nodded, her face flushed with shyness.

”...Mm.”

Zhang Jingdong quietly took a long look at her, his gaze finally lingering on a certain spot for a moment before he asked, ”How does it feel? Thrilling or not?”

Lin Qingci didn’t really want to admit it, but first, she wanted Zhang Jingdong to forget the unpleasantness from just now, and second, she had already done what he told her to do. If she still couldn’t let go at this point, then her sacrifice would’ve been for nothing.

So she shot him a shy yet secretly pleased sideways glance. ”...Fine, even though I’m still not totally used to it yet, it is pretty exciting.”

”Told you...” Zhang Jingdong paused as if something had just occurred to him, then grinned wickedly. ”Did you throw it away?”

Lin Qingci stopped for a second, then shook her head. ”No.”

”Then where’d you put it?”

”...In my bag.”

Zhang Jingdong glanced at the white Chanel bag in her hand and teased, ”Good girl. I was just thinking I forgot to remind you not to toss it.”

Seeing the mischievous curl at his lips, Lin Qingci couldn’t help a little coquettish complaint. ”What else are you plotting?”

”I’m not plotting anything. I just think it’d be kind of a waste to throw it out directly, you know? It’s the original flavor, after all.”

”You...”

Lin Qingci quietly swatted his hand away. ”You’re getting a bit BT, you know that?”

”How is this BT? This is couple’s fun, okay?”

”President Lin, your mindset is still too uptight. We’ve been together for so long now. Don’t you have one hundred percent trust in me yet?”

Lin Qingci pressed her lips together. ”I can trust you one hundred percent, it’s just... your thoughts in that area are way too ahead of the curve. There are... some things I can’t accept all at once.”

Zhang Jingdong reached out toward her, then the two of them each sat down.

When Lin Qingci bent down, she forgot about her current situation. Only when she was about to sit did she suddenly realize and hurriedly tugged at her clothes.

And once she sat, she immediately crossed her legs, putting her right leg over her left.

Seeing this, Zhang Jingdong laughed and shook his head. ”President Lin, you’re still way too nervous. Relax, no one is ever gonna notice.”

Lin Qingci quietly exhaled, then put on a show of calm. ”...I’m not nervous. I’m already much better.”

Zhang Jingdong blinked quickly. ”Let’s play a little game, yeah?”

Lin Qingci instantly felt like she was facing down a great enemy. Every time she’d played games with Zhang Jingdong before, she had never won, and his punishments were always harsher each round.

And in her current condition, she really was afraid he’d play rough with her right now.

”Let’s wait till we’re back in Jiangdu. It’s not good to do punishments in public like this.”

Zhang Jingdong seemed to have guessed she’d say that, so he replied, ”We’ll just play the simplest rock-paper-scissors, and the punishment will also be a super simple little one. I promise.”

Seeing him put it that way, Lin Qingci lifted her hand to check the time. There was still over an hour before boarding.

So she nodded. ”...Fine.”

Seeing her agree, Zhang Jingdong immediately grinned. ”I’ll throw paper. What are you gonna throw?”

Lin Qingci blinked her sweet eyes. ”Then I’ll throw scissors.”

”Okay, here we go. Scissors... rock... paper!”

In the end, Zhang Jingdong really did throw paper, and Lin Qingci actually threw paper too.

Just like that, Zhang Jingdong stood on the moral high ground. ”Classmate Lin Qingci, I was trying to let you win and you still didn’t trust me?”

”I...” Lin Qingci suddenly felt guilty. ”I was afraid you were tricking me!”

”I admit, before we got together I really did mess with you a bit. But be honest: ever since we’ve been together, have I tricked you even once?”

Lin Qingci quickly thought back, then shook her head. ”...Doesn’t seem like it. Fine, my bad. I shouldn’t have thought that way about you. I apologize, okay?”

Zhang Jingdong immediately said, ”Classmate Lin Qingci, there are some mistakes I can forgive with just an apology. But there are others where a simple ’sorry’ can’t heal the scars in my heart—and that little mistake you just made falls into the latter category.”

Lin Qingci glanced around. Seeing that the colleagues nearby weren’t paying attention to them, she quietly took Zhang Jingdong’s hand. ”I really was wrong. Just forgive me this once, please?”

Zhang Jingdong struggled to hold back his laughter. ”Alright, seeing as your apology is at least sincere, I’ll grudgingly forgive you this time.”

”But this round still counts as your loss. Do a small punishment and then we can completely move past it, okay?”

Lin Qingci instantly realized she’d been tricked by Zhang Jingdong yet again, but she really couldn’t refuse. To be fair, the way he picked at her did kind of make sense.

So she nodded. ”...Alright, say it. What’s the punishment?”

Just then, Zhang Jingdong glanced over at the self-service bar not far away. ”I’m a little thirsty. Go pour me a glass of lemon water. There’s one thing you need to keep in mind, though: when you bend over, you have to have your back to me.”

Lin Qingci bit at the corner of her mouth and muttered softly, ”Hmph... knew you were up to no good.”

In the same low voice, Zhang Jingdong said, ”Trust me, when you’re pouring the water, as long as you remember that only the two of us in this whole lounge know what’s going on, and I’ll be watching you the whole time, you’re definitely going to find it super exciting too.”

Just hearing that was enough to make Lin Qingci’s face instantly burn scarlet.

She didn’t want Zhang Jingdong seeing her like this, so she stood up straight away and headed for the self-service bar.

She picked up a juice glass with her left hand and set it on the counter, then grabbed the lemon water bottle with her right and leaned forward slightly to pour water into the glass.
