Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 1559: Chapter 585: Love Sealed with Qi Siyuan

So he said to Xu Donghai, ”Uncle, have you had enough fun? If you’re done, then shall we settle who’s the winner now?”

Xu Donghai secretly let out a breath and forced himself to appear calm, saying, ”At a time like this, you still dare to boast? I’ve already figured out your skills, so stop pretending to be a master with me!”

Zhang Jingdong laughed heartily, ”Uncle, haven’t you heard that when a conversation with someone feels particularly enjoyable, it’s not because the content is great, but rather because the other person is lowering their level to match your performance.”

”And the reason you were having so much fun fighting just now is the same. If you don’t believe me, I’ll prove it to you right now. Within three moves, I’ll definitely beat you!”

”Three moves!?” Xu Donghai shook his head with a smile, ”You couldn’t beat me in over twenty moves, and now you dare to claim you’ll win in three?”

”Do you think I’m out of stamina? Humph... To be honest, I’ve been holding back and watching out for your counterattacks. With my current stamina, I can still go forty or fifty more rounds with you!”

Zhang Jingdong saw how confident he was and seized the opportunity, ”Since you’re so confident, how about a bet with me?”

”Sure, how do we bet?”

”It’s simple. If I can beat you within three moves, you have to agree to let me date Nuonuo.”

”And if I can’t beat you within three moves, I’ll agree to one thing you ask, anything except breaking up with Nuonuo. How about that?”

Xu Donghai’s eyes sharpened, ”So you really have something with Nuonuo, huh? Alright, it’s a deal. If you really can beat me within three moves, I’ll even agree to you two getting married right away.”

”But if you can’t beat me in three moves, then it means you’re just a braggart. I won’t force you two apart, but I’ll be observing you for five years, and only after you pass all my tests, will I consider letting you be together.”

Zhang Jingdong nodded cheerfully, ”No problem, it’s a deal!”

At this point, Xu Donghai took the boxing stance again, ”Come on then. Since you’ve made such a bold claim, show me if you really have the skills!”

Zhang Jingdong also clenched his fists, ”Alright, Uncle, please forgive me!”

Then, like a flash of lightning, he moved forward and struck with a very powerful punch using thirty percent of his strength.

On one hand, Xu Donghai couldn’t dodge because Zhang Jingdong’s punch was particularly fast.

On the other hand, he was thinking of blocking Zhang Jingdong’s punch and then countering with a jab.

But he never expected Zhang Jingdong’s punch to be so powerful, it felt as if he was hit by a giant rock.

So, with this move, Xu Donghai staggered back seven or eight meters.

Even though his years of power kept him from falling, he knew he had lost.

Because he could feel that Zhang Jingdong had held back even when delivering such a powerful punch.

If he had really used full strength, Xu Donghai’s left arm might have been crippled by now.

Zhang Jingdong deliberately said, ”Uncle, you really are amazing. Without lying, I already used full strength with that punch, and yet you remained steady as a mountain. Seems like I really can’t win in three moves!”

Seeing Zhang Jingdong trying to save face for him, Xu Donghai just said, ”Alright, stop acting, I lost!”

Zhang Jingdong was delighted at his straightforwardness, ”So our bet is...?”

”Rest assured, I agree to you and Nuonuo’s relationship. But you have to promise me one thing in return.”

”Since you agreed to me and Nuonuo, from now on we’re family. Not just one thing, even a hundred things I’d agree to!”

”Just one thing then. From now on, every time we meet, you have to teach me a few real martial arts moves. How about it, do you agree?”

Zhang Jingdong pretended to hesitate then said, ”Alright, even though I’m bound by my school’s rules, since you’re family, I’ll make sure to teach you real martial arts.”

Once Xu Donghai saw Zhang Jingdong agree, he was also happy, ”Alright, let’s call it a day and go have some tea.”

”Okay!”

In the following hour, the two chatted while drinking tea.

Since Zhang Jingdong and Xu Nuo were together, they felt like a true father-in-law and son-in-law, chatting more jovially than the day before.

When Xu Nuo and the others came downstairs and saw this scene, they were all stunned again.

During breakfast, Xu Donghai suddenly said to Xu Nuo, seemingly casually, ”Nuonuo, do you have something you want to tell me?”

Xu Nuo was initially taken aback, then quickly realized and turned her face red, looking toward Zhang Jingdong.

Zhang Jingdong gave her a reassuring look and said, ”I’ve already talked to Uncle about us, and he already agreed, right, Uncle?”

Xu Donghai nodded, ”Nuonuo, Jingdong is right, I agreed to your relationship.”

”I can’t help it, even though your old dad didn’t want you dating so early, Jingdong is just too outstanding. He passed all my tests for a future son-in-law, so I had no choice but to agree.”

Xu Nuo hadn’t dared to mention it to her parents because she had promised them that she wouldn’t date before graduating from college.

Since last night with Zhang Jingdong, she had been restless, dreaming her parents caught her with Zhang Jingdong.

Now hearing her dad’s words, she breathed a sigh of relief and secretly added more points to Zhang Jingdong’s credit.

She shyly and happily said, ”...Thank you, Dad.”
