Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 1566: Chapter 588: A Special Request for Lin Qingci

Zhang Jingdong finished the remaining juice in one gulp, placed the glass on the buffet table, and then casually found two empty seats with Lin Qingci.

Zhang Jingdong asked offhandedly, ”How many registered users does the website have now?”

Lin Qingci thought for a moment and then replied, ”At midnight last night, it was 33.47 million. At the current rate of growth, it should reach 35 million by midnight tonight.”

At this, Lin Qingci looked at Zhang Jingdong with even more admiration in her eyes.

”The methods you taught me before about creating hype online to promote the website are really effective.”

”Every time the hype picks up, the number of users on our website increases immensely in a short period.”

”Among them, Jiang Lai has made significant contributions; her two recent videos went viral, and not just viral, but explosively viral across the entire internet. Almost every mainstream website apart from ours is reposting her videos.”

”Her videos, under your direction, have all been tagged with our website’s branding, which has brought in a substantial amount of traffic to us.”

”Besides that, the other influencers we’ve been promoting are now starting to gain traction.”

”The followers of Li Xiang and Qinghong have also surpassed a million, and Xu Nan’s group of eight have over 500,000 followers each. In at most two months, our website will have over ten influencers with millions of followers.”

At this point, Lin Qingci couldn’t help but exclaim, ”Initially, we said we would strive to have our website’s users exceed ten million by the end of the year, but at this pace, we might surpass a hundred million by year-end.”

”By then, our registered user count will be second only to WhatsApp. Wow, Boss, not to exaggerate, but I never even dreamed that our website could reach this level when we first started it.”

”Boss, you’re simply amazing!”

Zhang Jingdong laughed, ”Lin Qingci, this compliment is a bit too straightforward, I don’t even know how to respond.”

”And this doesn’t seem to be your style. Be honest, do you have some unusual request that you don’t normally bring up and want to discuss now that the two of us are outside?”

Lin Qingci blinked her bright eyes, ”No, I’m just really happy with how our website’s user count has surged recently, so I wanted to share my genuine feelings with you, our great boss.”

”And I’m not flattering you, because those strategies, and the whole influencer plan, are all thanks to you.”

Zhang Jingdong quietly took Lin Qingci’s left hand, ”Are you really not intending to ask me for any special requests?”

Seeing Lin Qingci still shaking her head, he continued, ”Since you’re not asking me for anything, may I propose a small request, considering you just said I contributed so much to the company?”

Lin Qingci began to understand, then rolled her eyes slightly, ”Tch... So you were waiting for me here... Okay, who can argue with you being so smart and insightful, and it’s natural for you as a leader to make requests of me, so go ahead.”

Zhang Jingdong pouted, ”President Lin, you’re being a bit sly here, you clearly know what kind of request I want to make but you’re intentionally trapping me by using the boss title, how am I supposed to say anything now?”

Lin Qingci exaggeratedly scrutinized Zhang Jingdong, then said, ”Is this the Zhang Boss I know? Are you saying that by me cornering you with my boss title, you don’t dare to make that kind of request in public?”

”Why didn’t you say so earlier? If I’d known you also have moments of thin skin, I would’ve used this technique long ago!”

Zhang Jingdong shrugged with a smile, dropping his act immediately, ”But there’s a saying that once it’s said, it loses its power, and the same goes for tactics; once they’re pointed out, they no longer work, so I’ll still make a small request.”

Lin Qingci looked like she had already anticipated this, ”Tch... Your face really does have self-healing properties; as soon as it thins somewhere, it immediately auto-repairs.”

Zhang Jingdong rolled with it, ”The way you say it, it seems to be true!”

”And it’s just like my talent. No matter the situation, as long as it can be used, I can showcase it almost perfectly right away. Tsk tsk, what can I say, I’m just that versatile!”

Although Zhang Jingdong’s words sounded a bit boastful, Lin Qingci had to admit there was almost no exaggeration; he had always been like this.

Previously, she might have wanted to remind him not to be so arrogant when seeing his cocky demeanor, but now she truly felt that his arrogant demeanor seemed quite charming.

Zhang Jingdong noticed this, then leaned over to whisper in her ear, ”My small request is for you to go to the bathroom now and remove that...”

Even though Lin Qingci anticipated Zhang Jingdong’s request might be excessive, she never expected it to be this outrageous.

She felt instantly flustered and furious, ”This...you...no way!”

”Why not? Last time I asked you to do that in the office, and you did it. This one seems less challenging, doesn’t it?”

”But last time it was in my office, and now this...we’re at the airport!”

”That’s why it would be more thrilling.”

”You...you’re awful!”
