Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Zhang Jingdong held onto Lin Shuwan’s hand and never let go.

But he didn’t push his luck any further, as he could sense that this was as intimate as Lin Shuwan was comfortable with for now.

However, Zhang Jingdong was quite experienced, and even with just holding hands, he had many ways to take it a step further.

For example, curling a finger, or tapping her palm.

At first, Lin Shuwan could handle it, but when Zhang Jingdong started drawing circles on her palm, she finally couldn’t take it anymore.

She glared at Zhang Jingdong resentfully and whispered, ”Just focus on driving!”

Zhang Jingdong smirked, ”Don’t worry, I’m a great driver!”

Lin Shuwan seemed to pick up on the teasing tone in Zhang Jingdong’s words, her eyes flashing with a hint of bashful annoyance.

Zhang Jingdong chuckled at once, ”What, you don’t believe me? Alright, just watch…”

With that, he performed an extreme turn with one hand.

Lin Shuwan had never seen such a high-difficulty maneuver before. Though it worried her for a moment, since Zhang Jingdong kept the car steady even during that extreme move, she couldn’t help but feel a thrill she’d never experienced before.

But she pouted, ”Don’t do such dangerous stunts again, there’s a child in the car.”

Zhang Jingdong uncharacteristically nodded in agreement.

”Okay, okay... I was just trying to show off earlier, I won’t do it again!”

”I’ll show you more high-level moves when we’re alone later, they’re both safe and thrilling!”

Upon hearing the first sentence, Lin Shuwan felt a warmth in her heart because he was so obedient.

But after hearing the latter part, a hint of blush appeared on her face, though she felt a tinge of anticipation in her heart.

By then, the music in the car had changed to ”Norwegian Wood”:

Let me pluck your heart

And slowly melt it

Let’s see if I’m still flawless in your heart

If you still miss and care for me

...

Earlier, while listening to ”Reunion,” Lin Shuwan had some difficulty adjusting to Wu Bai’s voice, even finding it a bit noisy, but now she had completely adapted. She even found his voice to be free-spirited, with an inexplicable healing quality.

Perhaps due to the pleasant music and the great atmosphere in the car, she turned to glance at the happily playing Zhang Wenqi in the backseat, and a feeling of long-lost happiness burgeoned in her heart.

Subsequently, she no longer resisted Zhang Jingdong holding her hand.

It was only half an hour later that Zhang Jingdong’s car finally reached the city.

Zhang Jingdong turned his head and said, ”Qiqi, are you hungry? How about we get something delicious to eat first?”

Zhang Wenqi replied happily, ”Yes, sure!”

”What would you like to eat?”

”I want... I want burgers and ice cream.”

”Okay, then let’s grab some McDonald’s first, and then your godfather will take you to a place where you can enjoy both good food and beautiful scenery.”

”Okay!”

As Zhang Jingdong looked back, he took a glance at Lin Shuwan and then quietly moved his hand up to her wrist.

Over twenty minutes later, Zhang Jingdong parked the car in front of a McDonald’s.

”You two wait in the car, I’ll be right back!”

After saying that, he got out of the car briskly.

Watching the billionaire enter the McDonald’s, a gentle smile gradually appeared on Lin Shuwan’s lips.

Ten minutes later, Zhang Jingdong came out of McDonald’s carrying a big bag and got back into the car.

He handed the bag to Zhang Wenqi, ”Qiqi, are these your favorites?”

Zhang Wenqi immediately put down her toy, took the bag with both hands, looked inside, and nodded enthusiastically, ”Yes! These are all my favorites, thank you, godfather!”

Zhang Jingdong playfully said, ”Didn’t I tell you before, don’t thank your godfather, because I’m happy to do this for you. Your happiness is my happiness!”

Zhang Wenqi obediently nodded, ”Godfather, I remember!”

”Good girl!”

With that, Zhang Jingdong started the car again, swiftly maneuvering it away from where they’d been parked.

Twenty minutes later, the three arrived at Linyue Restaurant located at the top of Zhongjiang Building.

The main attraction here is the open-air terrace on top of the building where diners can enjoy views of a large part of Jiangdu’s nightscape and feel the riverside evening breeze.

Zhang Jingdong and his companions chose a spot with a gorgeous view, ordered a ton of food and drinks, and enjoyed the view while eating, feeling perfectly content.

Zhang Jingdong naturally picked a piece of crab meat for Lin Shuwan and then said to Zhang Wenqi, ”Qiqi, how’s the view here, is it beautiful?”

”Yes! It’s so high up here, and there’s so much to see!”

While the two were chatting, the sound of children’s laughter suddenly came from not far away.

Zhang Jingdong turned to look and found a small children’s playground there.

It had slides, a merry-go-round, and even swings.

Zhang Jingdong pointed it out to Zhang Wenqi, ”Qiqi, look over there!”

Zhang Wenqi looked in the direction Zhang Jingdong pointed and was instantly filled with delight, ”Godfather, can I play there too?”

Then she suddenly remembered something and turned to Lin Shuwan, ”Mom, can I play for ten minutes?”

Lin Shuwan hesitated for a moment, then nodded, ”...Alright, be careful.”

”Okay!”

”Godfather, I’m going to play!”

Zhang Jingdong also nodded, ”Go ahead, have fun!”
