Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

”In the end, who would’ve thought he’d suddenly pull a sneaky move on me, right under my nose?”

”Finally, he even threatened me, saying if I didn’t agree to his terms, he’d tell you about me being his informant. I had no choice but to comply.”

”Of course, I have my faults too—I... I shouldn’t have liked that guy.”

Zhang Jingdong shrugged, ”He Jieyu, why did you agree to be my informant in the first place?”

”You... didn’t you promise me so much money? I... I was short of money back then!”

”Then let me ask you, when you decided to, um, let’s say, get involved with me, had you truly fallen for me by then?”

”...Alright, I... I admit it.”

At this point, Zhang Jingdong wrapped an arm around He Jieyu’s shoulders, ”See, I’m never one to bully others. I’m not an absolute good person, but the love I have for you all is real, as is the love between us!”

”Come on, for the sake of our love, and now that you two can meet each other openly and all misunderstandings are resolved, let’s celebrate properly!”

With that, he directly started giving them a lesson.

Despite being extremely shy, both Yan Ning and He Jieyu couldn’t resist Zhang Jingdong’s exceptional teaching abilities.

In less than ten minutes, they forgot everything else and began focusing earnestly on their studies.

”Congratulations to the Host for successfully completing a creative encounter with the two target figures in a special environment, earning a reward of 10 million yuan!”

To make sure they completely forgot any lingering grudges, Zhang Jingdong taught this particular lesson for a full hour.

During that time, he explained 5 key points to Yan Ning and 3 key points to He Jieyu.

Finally, seeing that they both fully grasped their respective topics, Zhang Jingdong rewarded each of them with a bottle of Life One.

When they went to the bathroom to freshen up, Zhang Jingdong glanced at the time.

It was almost 4:30!

Oh no, if he didn’t head to the airport soon, he’d definitely be late.

So he quickly tidied up and left the office, heading to the restroom door.

Just then, Yan Ning and He Jieyu happened to come out together.

Yan Ning glanced at Zhang Jingdong and asked, ”What’s up? Do you have something to do?”

Zhang Jingdong tried to remain calm and nodded, ”I’m just busy setting up a group company recently, got a lot going on. I have to head to the entertainment company for a meeting now.”

Yan Ning pouted, ”… You just took full advantage of us and now you’re leaving, aren’t you ashamed?”

Zhang Jingdong quickly thought, ”You’re right, maybe I shouldn’t go. As it happens, I have a grand plan, so why don’t we go to your company now?”

Yan Ning noticed the mischievous smile on his lips and instantly protested, ”Hey... you’re pushing your luck! You... that’s not okay!”

”Why not? You’ve both already expressed openly to each other, and she’s your secretary. If the two of us discuss things in your office with her taking notes, no one will think otherwise!”

Seeing Zhang Jingdong was serious, Yan Ning panicked immediately, ”No, absolutely not!”

”After all, it’s in our company, and without Jieyu outside, if anything were to happen... no, it can’t happen now, you mustn’t even think about it!”

Zhang Jingdong chuckled internally, ”Alright, then I’ll see you up and have a cup of tea in your office, surely that’s fine?”

Yan Ning sensed Zhang Jingdong was scheming to worm his way inside, so she said, ”No way, you should just go and handle your affairs, I... I actually have things to do as well.”

”...We’ll be heading out first, and you should get going too.”

With that, Yan Ning dragged He Jieyu away.

Zhang Jingdong deliberately followed a few steps, ”Isn’t it improper? You both came to see me and brought me so many treats, yet I didn’t accompany you up, how rude that looks!”

Yan Ning instinctively glanced around, then gave Zhang Jingdong a ”shush” gesture, and turned with He Jieyu towards the elevators.

Zhang Jingdong let out a sigh of relief, estimating they were upstairs by now, and took the elevator down himself.

After retrieving the car, he made a quick stop at a flower shop before heading straight to the airport.

Due to being close to running late, as soon as he hit the airport’s expressway, Zhang Jingdong switched to a quasi-flying mode.

A journey that would take a regular person at least half an hour, he managed to complete in just 12 minutes.

Finally, with a jaw-dropping drift, the car came to a steady stop in front of the airport terminal.

Glancing at the time, it was 4:56.

He took a moment to collect himself in the car, then picked up his phone and called Lin Shuwan.

It took four rings on the other end before it picked up, ”...Hello?”

”Are you guys about to land?”

”...Yeah.”

”I’ve arranged for someone to pick you up, I’ll send you the driver’s number soon. I’m a bit busy today and really can’t get away, but I’ll see you tonight for dinner.”

”Didn’t I tell you earlier that there’s no need to trouble yourself? I’ve got everything arranged; we can get to the hotel ourselves.”

”I’m just concerned about your safety. With you two gorgeous ladies, unfamiliar with the place, any mishap could make me so regretful.”

”...Alright.”

”See you tonight.”

”...Okay.”

After hanging up, Zhang Jingdong sent a text to Lin Shuwan, then got out of the car.

He opened the backseat door, grabbed a bouquet of red roses in his left hand, a bunch of daisies in his right, closed the car door with his foot, and briskly headed into the arrivals hall.
