Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Twenty minutes later, Zhang Jingdong and his group arrived at the filming location.

After some preparation, the official shooting finally began around 4 PM.

Today, they were shooting a juice advertisement. Zhang Yuqi played the role of a teacher, with the main plot involving her interacting with some children, showcasing the beverage, and saying a few advertising lines.

Though the plot was simple, filming was quite challenging due to the three big difficulties in shooting: water, animals, and children.

And among these, children are the hardest to manage.

Zhang Jingdong originally thought that this shoot for Zhang Yuqi would be extremely tough, even prepared for the possibility of having the director change the script if shooting became impossible.

But unexpectedly, Zhang Yuqi performed very well.

She managed not only with handling those children but also excelled in her lines, expressions, and physical movements.

Zhang Jingdong couldn’t help but secretly sigh, thinking maybe she really was born to be an actress.

Both the director of the advertisement and Chen Hui also praised Zhang Yuqi.

Initially, Zhang Jingdong had some doubts, so he specifically checked the final cut.

He found that Zhang Yuqi on camera looked even more beautiful and charming than in real life.

This completely reassured him.

By 8 PM, today’s filming was complete.

Zhang Yuqi tidied up and then eagerly approached Zhang Jingdong: ”Boss...boss, what do you think of my performance today?”

Zhang Jingdong casually said, ”I was originally planning to take you to Tianfu First-class tonight, but after seeing your performance this afternoon, I decided to take you to Yuhuang Hotel.”

Zhang Yuqi was a bit unclear about what Zhang Jingdong meant, but she gleaned some understanding from his facial expression.

So she knowingly asked, ”So, were you satisfied with my performance, or not?”

Zhang Jingdong pretended to be serious, ”Neither of those...but rather extremely satisfied!”

Zhang Yuqi was still puzzled by the first half, but upon hearing the latter part, she instantly cheered up: ”Tch...you deliberately scared me.”

Zhang Jingdong teased, ”You’ve been in Jiangdu for quite some time and still don’t know that Yuhuang Hotel is an even more top-notch place than Tianfu First-class?”

”I…” Zhang Yuqi pursed her lips, ”If you don’t take me, how would I have a chance to go?”

”Haha, alright then, tonight I’ll take you to experience it, guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.”

Afterward, Zhang Jingdong said goodbye to Chen Hui and others before driving to Yuhuang Hotel.

Besides the top-floor club, the Huifeng Hall located on the 6th floor is one of the most exclusive restaurants in Jiangdu.

Zhang Jingdong led Zhang Yuqi upstairs to Huifeng Hall and chose a window seat.

He ordered a bunch of delicious food and drinks, and once everything was served, they chatted while eating.

Zhang Yuqi tasted a piece of Squirrel Guilty Fish and couldn’t help praising, ”This dish is so tasty!”

Zhang Jingdong indulgently said, ”If you find it delicious, eat more.”

Zhang Yuqi nodded, took another couple of bites, and glanced at the river view outside the window.

She mused, ”Who’d have thought this hotel has such good restaurants.”

Zhang Jingdong picked up a Dragon Well Shrimp, ”It’s actually an aggregation effect because Yuhuang Hotel is one of Jiangdu’s best hotels, so guests who come here are naturally affluent or notable.”

”And Huifeng Hall is also one of Jiangdu’s top restaurants, with a high average check per guest. This lets the latter attract precise clientele by renting space from the former.”

”Many businesses operate similarly, like high-end bookstores and luxury shops at airports, car exhibitions on the first floor of luxury malls, and golf courses near premium neighborhoods, all share the same principle.”

Zhang Yuqi put down her chopsticks, thoughtfully nodding: ”That’s quite true.”

After about ten minutes, Zhang Jingdong noticed Zhang Yuqi seemed a little full, so he said, ”I initially thought you’d need to practice for a year or two before acting in films, but after watching your performance today, your acting talent is quite high, so I plan to prepare a movie for you soon.”

Zhang Yuqi was instantly shocked and delighted: ”Hubby, you...you must be kidding, this...”

”Do I look like I’m joking with you?”

”But… I’ve just graduated and haven’t even shot an advertisement before. Starting with a movie now, isn’t that too soon!”

Zhang Jingdong anticipated this concern and replied, ”Why should it be a problem? Sometimes talent doesn’t conform to conventional reasoning. Gong Li starred in ’Red Sorghum’ at 22, and Zhang Ziyi was 19 when she acted in ’My Father and Mother.’”

”They were fresh out of college when they started acting, without any filming experience.”

”Speaking more broadly, every great actor was inexperienced when shooting their first movie, and they became famous relying on talent and intuition.”

”Moreover, you might not realize it, but sometimes having no performing experience is a huge advantage for an actor.”

”Precisely because you haven’t acted in movies, you are like a blank page; hence, your performance can be more natural, lively, and pure, enabling you to better captivate the audience.”

Seeing Zhang Yuqi was somewhat moved, Zhang Jingdong continued, ”Additionally, aside from your acting, the success of a movie depends on the quality of the script and whether the filming team is professional.”
