Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Jiang Lai was thoroughly delighted and quietly leaned on Zhang Jingdong’s shoulder.

A breeze gently blew through, stirring the azalea flowers in the courtyard, and carrying a faint fragrance.

The two cuddled for almost half an hour before heading to the kitchen downstairs.

After wrapping everything up, Zhang Jingdong said, ”Today, I’ll film a complete sample for you. You can use it as a reference later.”

Jiang Lai nodded with interest, ”Mm, sounds good!”

Zhang Jingdong pretended to think for a moment and then said, ”The first shot we’re going to film is... you waking up in the morning.”

”Waking up in the morning!?” Jiang Lai was momentarily stunned, ”Are you sure about this?”

Zhang Jingdong chuckled, ”Don’t worry, this scene is entirely different from what we shot yesterday.”

Seeing Jiang Lai was still a bit hesitant, he continued, ”The purpose of this shot is to show the audience that your video is recording your daily life. Since the day’s plan starts in the morning, this routine wake-up shot not only sets the time but also reveals the style of your video.”

Actually, he left out one point, which was that most men enjoy watching how a beauty looks when she wakes up.

Even though those beauty bloggers often have makeup on beforehand, male viewers are aware of these tricks, but it doesn’t lessen their interest in seeing this detail.

After all, thanks to this shot, they get a peek into a beauty’s private world.

Jiang Lai felt Zhang Jingdong’s explanation made sense, so she bashfully nodded, ”…Okay then.”

She glanced at her grandmother’s room and then gestured toward her own room, whispering, ”…You go in first.”

Zhang Jingdong immediately understood, then quietly and quickly stepped into her room with the DV in hand.

It was his first time in her room.

Compared to the rooms of Yan Ning, Ye Jinyan, and He Jieyu he’d visited before, Jiang Lai’s seemed a bit simple but was just as captivating in ambiance and scenery.

To be honest, Zhang Jingdong actually preferred Jiang Lai’s room style more.

The room was about 30 square meters, with a single bed against the wall. The bedding was neatly folded, and there was a small puppy pillow beside the bed.

Adjacent to the bed was a small wardrobe, somewhat old but with a very pretty design and immaculately clean.

Opposite the single bed was a desk. Various books and a family photo were displayed on it.

The three surrounding walls were adorned with attractive new year paintings and Jiang Lai’s school awards from years past.

Outside the window was the view of the courtyard with azaleas, a chicken coop, a water well, and a small vegetable patch...

Click, click, this scenery was a blend of life’s authenticity and poetic charm—what an idyllic dwelling.

Zhang Jingdong marveled for a moment and was about to take a closer look at the family photo on the desk when Jiang Lai came in.

But Zhang Jingdong didn’t stop, instead picking up the family photo to examine it closely.

In the photo, Jiang Lai looked to be about seven or eight years old, but already showed potential as a great beauty.

She had two braided pigtails, exquisite features, a full forehead, slightly pouty lips, and a particularly charming smile on her face.

Zhang Jingdong handed the family photo to Jiang Lai, saying in a low voice, ”When comparing childhood photos with others, I’ve never lost, but now, after seeing yours, I must admit defeat!”

”Not exaggerating, very few people are as beautiful from childhood as you are!”

Originally a little nervous, Jiang Lai relaxed and smiled pleasantly at the compliment, ”…Good of you to say so.”

Zhang Jingdong shrugged, ”Alright, now go to the bed. Let’s start filming right away.”

Jiang Lai instinctively looked at her clothes.

”Am I... just going to the bed like this?”

Zhang Jingdong stifled a laugh and adopted a director’s demeanor, ”Is that what you usually wear to sleep at night?”

Jiang Lai naively shook her head, ”No, I usually wear a nightgown, or shorts and a t-shirt.”

”Then change into a nightgown now. Even though it’s a sample, let’s try to keep it as authentic as possible; otherwise, it’ll be hard for you to capture the right feeling when you replicate it later.”

Jiang Lai hesitated for a moment, then timidly agreed, ”…Alright, then can you step out for a bit?”

Zhang Jingdong remained calm, ”If I go out now, what if Grandma discovers me?”

”But…” Jiang Lai’s face instantly turned red with embarrassment, ”If you don’t leave, how am I supposed to change clothes?”

”Come on, Jiang Lai, after what we did yesterday, you’re just changing clothes now. Is it necessary for me to leave?”

”But…” Jiang Lai looked a bit distressed, ”It’s different now, we’re at home!”

”This is a bit like hiding the truth from yourself. What’s the difference between being outside and at home?”

”Hey… Grandma’s at home! What if she…” Jiang Lai began to protest.

Zhang Jingdong sighed, ”Trust me, change quickly, and we can start working right away. Grandma will definitely not find out.”

”I…” Jiang Lai faltered.

”If you keep dithering, Grandma might really come over. Hurry up!”

Zhang Jingdong saw that Jiang Lai still hadn’t moved, so he added, ”I’ll turn around, I promise not to peek. Is that okay?”

With that, he truly turned his back.

Jiang Lai saw him, and although still hesitant, she realized there wasn’t much chance of getting Zhang Jingdong to leave.

She reluctantly agreed, ”…Alright, but you’re not allowed to turn around early later!”

Zhang Jingdong glanced at the small makeup mirror on the desk, solemnly saying, ”Don’t worry, although I sometimes act like a rogue, I’m not actually one.”
