Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

”Also, I hope you’ll trust my way of interacting with the child. In the future, I will definitely not just give her expensive gifts; I will also teach her the correct values and views on wealth, alright?”

Lin Shuwan was completely persuaded by Zhang Jingdong.

His last two sentences truly made sense, and she could sense that Zhang Jingdong was not just some nouveau riche but someone who really knows how to relate to children.

The most crucial point was that she, herself, was also a wealthy person, so the things Zhang Jingdong gave, she could repay in other ways in the future.

Thinking of this, Lin Shuwan nodded, ”Alright... In that case, I’ll follow your lead.”

Seeing her finally agree, Zhang Jingdong directly placed the hair clip on Zhang Wenqi.

”Tsk tsk, so pretty!”

Zhang Wenqi sweetly said, ”Thank you, godfather!”

She even took the initiative to give Zhang Jingdong a kiss.

Zhang Jingdong was overjoyed and said, ”Qiqi, if you really want to thank your godfather, then promise him one thing, okay?”

”In the future, no matter when, don’t say thank you to your godfather because whatever he gives you or does for you is completely voluntary. As long as you’re happy, godfather is happy.”

”You can say thank you to outsiders, but with your godfather, there’s no need, got it?”

Zhang Wenqi nodded obediently, ”Mm, godfather, I’ve remembered ... In the future, I’ll keep all my gratitude to you in my heart and repay you when I grow up.”

Zhang Jingdong was fine with the first half, but when he heard the second half, he was instantly moved: ”Ha ha, Qiqi, you’re really... really great!”

He then turned to Lin Shuwan, ”Wan, I have to say, your parenting is truly impressive; under your guidance, Qiqi has become both sensible and smart!”

For a child’s mother, there is hardly a better compliment than this.

A genuine trace of joy appeared on Lin Shuwan’s face.

But she wasn’t sure how to directly express it, so she said instead, ”Alright, Qiqi, come down now. You’re so big, your godfather must be tired holding you for so long!”

Zhang Jingdong said cheerfully, ”No problem, besides being rich, godfather’s greatest strength is having energy!”

He even switched from using both hands to just one.

Lin Shuwan was instantly shocked!

Because Zhang Wenqi is now 10 years old, and during this trip to Wuyuan, she’d weighed 25 kilograms.

Last night when Zhang Jingdong held her, she was already a bit surprised.

And now Zhang Jingdong had been holding her for nearly 5 minutes and could even switch to one hand.

Most critically, Zhang Jingdong didn’t look very muscular, she couldn’t imagine him being this strong.

She secretly thought he might be one of those long-term gym-goers who look slim in clothes but muscular without.

Thinking of this, Lin Shuwan suddenly felt a strange warmth rising inside her.

At this moment, Zhang Jingdong seemingly casually glanced at Lin Shuwan, then said to Zhang Wenqi, ”Qiqi, are you hungry? What would you like to eat? Godfather will get it for you.”

”I want to eat osmanthus cakes and glutinous rice cakes.”

”Alright!”

With that, Zhang Jingdong single-handedly carried her to the nearby buffet.

Watching them, Lin Shuwan felt it was just like a father-daughter interaction, a strange sparkle flashed in her eyes.

Before long, Zhang Jingdong returned with Zhang Wenqi, bringing back a table full of food and drinks.

Meanwhile, Long Yue smartly went over to another table.

Lin Shuwan couldn’t help but say, ”You... how about you sit here with Jingdong, and I’ll sit at the table next to Qiqi.”

Long Yue immediately reverted to his usual aloof, professional bodyguard stance, ”You might be mistaken, I am Mr. Zhang’s bodyguard.”

Lin Shuwan was initially surprised, then quickly realized something, wanted to say something, but seeing Zhang Jingdong coming back, she swallowed her words.

At that moment, Zhang Jingdong put a plate of fresh Holy Daughter fruits in front of Lin Shuwan, ”Try some, they’re quite fresh and good for your skin.”

Lin Shuwan’s face blushed lightly, as she nodded, ”...Mm, thank you.”

Then Zhang Jingdong and Zhang Wenqi sat down one after another, and all began eating breakfast together.

After a while, enjoying the joy of interacting with Zhang Wenqi, like father and daughter, Zhang Jingdong casually asked Lin Shuwan, ”How long are you planning to stay here?”

Lin Shuwan glanced at Zhang Wenqi, then replied, ”We... we’re going back the day after tomorrow.”

Zhang Jingdong tossed a grape into his mouth, chewed a few times, and swallowed without spitting out the skin.

”Are you going back to work?”

Lin Shuwan originally wanted to say ”Yes,” but for some reason, it turned into, ”No, we only planned for two places on this trip, Guilin and here, we don’t know where to go next, so we’re going back to Shuangqing for a few days.”

Feeling a spark, Zhang Jingdong said, ”I see, since you don’t have any plans ahead and want to visit other places, have you been to Jiangdu this year?”

Lin Shuwan paused, then replied, ”Not this year, last time we went to Jiangdu was about four years ago.”

Zhang Jingdong ate another grape, ”Jiangdu has changed a lot in recent years and has many new fun places. How about you visit Jiangdu in a couple of days? I’ll have time then, so I can show you around and have some fun.”

Turning to Zhang Wenqi, Zhang Jingdong asked, ”Qiqi, do you want to go? Godfather can take you to the water park and Joy Valley, how about it?”

Upon hearing this, Zhang Wenqi excitedly said, ”Yes, yes... Mom, can we go?”

Only then did Zhang Jingdong meaningfully say to Lin Shuwan, ”Wan, it’s rare that Qiqi wants to go so much, why not agree?”

After a slight hesitation, Lin Shuwan’s face blushed slightly, as she nodded, ”...Alright.”

Seeing Lin Shuwan agree, Zhang Jingdong felt a burst of joy inside.
