Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

After four rings, the other side finally picked up: ”Hello?”

”Can you tell who I am?”

”Are you... Mr. Zhang?”

”Smart as always. Are you prepared? Tomorrow is no problem, right?”

”Yes, I’m ready.”

”Then send me an address later, and I’ll pick you up at 3 o’clock tomorrow afternoon.”

”Okay.”

The two chatted a bit more and then hung up the phone.

Not long after, Jiang Lai sent a text message.

Zhang Jingdong glanced at it and then put his phone back in his pocket.

A half hour later, the car gradually pulled over near the roadside by the filming set.

Zhang Jingdong called Zhang Yuqi.

About five minutes later, Zhang Yuqi appeared in sight.

Zhang Jingdong opened the car door and waved at her.

Seeing him, Zhang Yuqi ran over with joy on her face and got in the car.

The car quickly started again, heading straight for Tianfu First-class.

Zhang Jingdong noticed Zhang Yuqi’s happiness and said, ”How is it? Is the set fun?”

Zhang Yuqi nodded spontaneously: ”Yes! It’s quite fun, but...”

”Just like you said before, as an actress, you need to have acting skills. Otherwise, if you can’t perform well on set, you’d embarrass yourself badly!”

Zhang Jingdong pulled her slender hand: ”I’m happy that you have this realization!”

”You’re right. Although you have me, your boss, to back you up, if you can’t act well, it would embarrass both of us!”

”But don’t worry, I will help you hire the best acting coach, and as long as you study diligently and sincerely, I believe you can do it!”

Although Zhang Yuqi was now used to Zhang Jingdong holding her hand, she blushed when he said so blatantly that he was backing her.

Yet she did not argue because she knew it was indeed true.

Without Zhang Jingdong’s support, she, an actor without formal training, would never have the chance to act in TV shows or movies.

Meanwhile, she quietly vowed to learn her skills well and not to embarrass Zhang Jingdong.

”Hmm… thank you!”

Zhang Jingdong smiled, leaning closer to gaze at her pretty face: ”Can I make a request? Don’t say thank you to me again in the future!”

”First, we actually have a mutually beneficial relationship; I value your potential and think you could become a big star in the future. That’s why I’m investing heavily in you so you can make money for me when you become famous.”

”Second, I appreciate your personality and appearance. Even if you don’t become famous in the future, I wouldn’t regret my investment because you are worth it!”

Zhang Yuqi felt that Zhang Jingdong’s words were reasonable and almost like a declaration of affection for her.

She instantly felt a warmth in her heart.

After a while, she pressed her lips and nodded shyly: ”…Alright, I promise you.”

Zhang Jingdong knew her ”promise” not only agreed to his request but also subtly agreed to be his girlfriend.

Feeling secretly pleased, he then lifted her slender hand and kissed the back of her hand: ”Thank you!”

”Congratulations to the host for successfully kissing the target, reward of 100,000 yuan!”

Zhang Yuqi laughed instantly, her look was as charming as it could be.

About twenty minutes later, the car slowly stopped below the building.

The two got out of the car and went to Tianfu First-class.

It was Zhang Yuqi’s first time dining at such a high-end restaurant, with novelty and joy, but even more satisfaction towards Zhang Jingdong.

She felt that as a big boss, Zhang Jingdong not only could take her to little diners near the university but also bring her to such upscale restaurants. She really liked this genuine style.

Furthermore, people in the restaurant treated Zhang Jingdong, who frequently visited and also brought big bosses like Yan Ning and stars like Xiao Fei, with great hospitality. The manager came over personally to greet them, making Zhang Yuqi once again feel Zhang Jingdong’s strong influence.

The two arrived at the seat where Zhang Jingdong often sat.

Zhang Jingdong skillfully ordered a few dishes and then pointed to the menu in front of Zhang Yuqi: ”Take a look and pick a few dishes you like. Most of the dishes here taste quite good.”

Zhang Yuqi didn’t hesitate and opened the menu directly.

She was stunned instantly!

Even though she knew from the decor and view outside that the restaurant wouldn’t be cheap, she hadn’t expected it to be this expensive!

The cheapest dish was comparable to her monthly living expenses when she was in school.

Yet she quickly regrouped and calmly ordered two dishes.

Before long, the dishes arrived, and the two ate and chatted.

Today, they first signed a contract, then Zhang Jingdong helped her choose commercials, took her to the filming site, and thoughtfully planned her future.

And after seeing more of Zhang Jingdong’s capability, Zhang Yuqi sensibly began accepting Zhang Jingdong both mentally and physically, hence the dining atmosphere was quite harmonious.

Zhang Jingdong took a sip of juice and asked, ”By the way, where are you from?”

Zhang Yuqi replied truthfully: ”I’m from Shandong.”

”A great place! As far as I know, many female stars come from Shandong. Gong Li and Ni Ping are from there, right?”

”Right.”

”People generally remember only the top three ranks, and two slots are already taken by them. Try to grab the third spot quickly!”

Zhang Yuqi had never considered this perspective before, but she found it quite honorable.

So she sweetly smiled: ”Yes! I’ll do my best!”

Around 8 o’clock, they finished their meal and went downstairs.

Zhang Jingdong then said: ”Don’t stay at Home Inn anymore; it’s not safe for you alone. I’ll arrange a place for you, okay?”

Zhang Yuqi seemed to have thought about this for a while, hesitated momentarily, then nodded: ”…Alright.”

Then, they first picked up her things from Home Inn and arrived at the Shangri-La Hotel in the east of the city.

Even though Zhang Jingdong hadn’t stayed here much before, it wasn’t an option now. Jiangdu only had five or six five-star hotels, and the safer ones were the Four Seasons Hotel and Shangri-La.

But the Four Seasons Hotel currently had too many people arranged there, so they had to come here instead.
