Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Zhang Jingdong noticed that the atmosphere was a bit too serious at the moment, so he joked: ”Saying thank you doesn’t really mean much, the most crucial thing... still depends on your actual actions.”

Although Zhang Yuqi had just entered society, the circle she was in was, after all, a high-incidence area of unspoken rules. She instantly caught the deeper meaning in Zhang Jingdong’s words.

She pursed her lips: ”...If you are genuinely sincere, then... then I will definitely be very sincere too.”

Zhang Jingdong’s heart was stirred.

”Alright, then let me show you my sincerity now, come, follow me to a place.”

With that, he stood up and walked out.

Zhang Yuqi hesitated slightly but quickly followed.

The two of them exited the restaurant and got into the car.

Along the way, Zhang Yuqi didn’t say a word out of nervousness.

And Zhang Jingdong deliberately teased her, so he didn’t say a word either.

Half an hour later, the car slowly stopped at the Dongsheng Entertainment Company building.

Zhang Jingdong turned his head to look at Zhang Yuqi: ”We’re here, let’s get out.”

Zhang Yuqi secretly let out a sigh of relief, then followed Zhang Jingdong out of the car.

She looked around and realized that Zhang Jingdong brought her to an entertainment company, not a hotel.

She felt a bit more at ease and secretly gave Zhang Jingdong extra credit.

Zhang Jingdong noticed her surprise and said, ”What, did you think I was going to take you to a hotel, and now you’re a little disappointed to find out it’s not?”

Zhang Yuqi saw that Zhang Jingdong had read her mind, and her delicate face instantly flushed with a hint of red.

Then she suddenly realized that Zhang Jingdong had been teasing her all along, he was joking back at the restaurant too.

She immediately shot him a glare: ”What are you saying? Hmph... you’re teasing me!”

Zhang Jingdong laughed playfully: ”It’s just to pass the time. Mainly, I really like messing around with pretty girls, otherwise, why would I run an entertainment company? Let’s go!”

Upon hearing this, Zhang Yuqi instinctively glanced at the ”Dongsheng Entertainment Company” sign and then followed him inside.

The pretty receptionist was both excited and enthusiastic upon seeing the big boss Zhang Jingdong: ”Hello, boss!”

Although Zhang Yuqi had guessed from Zhang Jingdong’s words earlier that he might be the boss here, she was still genuinely shocked to confirm it!

Mainly because compared to the restaurant from before, this entertainment company was clearly superior in both grade and scale.

Most crucially, she had heard about the clout and connections an entertainment company boss must have during her time at drama school.

At this moment, her admiration and respect for Zhang Jingdong quietly grew several notches.

Zhang Jingdong took her to an office on the third floor, then dialed an internal call to Chen Hui.

After hanging up, he stood up and said: ”Would you like something to drink? Tea or a soft drink?”

Zhang Yuqi finally felt a bit relaxed: ”Water will do.”

Zhang Jingdong immediately poured two glasses of water, handed her one, and sat back on the sofa with his own glass.

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

Zhang Jingdong put down his glass: ”Come in!”

Soon after, the door was pushed open, and Chen Hui walked in.

His gaze quickly swept past Zhang Yuqi, then landed on Zhang Jingdong: ”Boss.”

”Have a seat.”

”Let me introduce, this is Zhang Yuqi... this is our company’s general manager, Mr. Chen.”

Zhang Yuqi greeted Chen Hui gracefully: ”Hello, Mr. Chen!”

Although there was a hint of shyness in Zhang Yuqi’s eyes, Chen Hui could tell from the way Zhang Jingdong looked at her that her relationship with his boss was definitely not ordinary, possibly another ”boss lady” in the making.

So he didn’t dare to be arrogant and smiled politely: ”Hello, Miss Zhang.”

Zhang Jingdong continued: ”Mr. Chen, here’s the deal. Zhang Yuqi is a graduate of the Modu Drama Academy, and I think she shows great potential in film and television acting.”

”Currently, our company has Xiao Fei as the leading figure in the music sector, but we’ve yet to find a leading figure for film and television. So, I’ve decided to position Zhang Yuqi as the actress we’ll focus on promoting over the next few years.”

Chen Hui, firstly, noticed that Zhang Yuqi’s appearance and temperament were quite remarkable, especially her special expression, which was perfect for this industry.

Secondly, he had immense respect for Zhang Jingdong’s knack for choosing people. Furthermore, his expertise lay mainly in music, not film and television, so he decided to leave everything to the boss’s guidance.

He then said: ”Since you’ve mentioned it, I’ll make sure to carry it out to the best of my ability.”

Zhang Jingdong was very satisfied to see Chen Hui being so straightforward and nodded approvingly.

”Alright, among the commercials our company currently has, are there any that need a female lead? See which one is suitable for her and have her participate in it first. After this, I’ll personally craft a few film and television projects tailor-made for her.”

Chen Hui quickly thought for a moment and then said: ”There actually are a few that need a female lead, but I’m not quite clear on how you want to position Miss Zhang right now. How about I bring over those commercial scripts for you to look through, and then you can decide which one Miss Zhang should star in?”

Zhang Jingdong glanced at Zhang Yuqi to see that she had already accepted his arrangement, then said: ”Sure, go get them now.”

”Alright.”

With that, Chen Hui got up and left the office.

At this moment, Zhang Jingdong looked seriously at Zhang Yuqi and said, ”I’ll ask you one last time, do you completely trust me? And are you willing to accept all my arrangements for you?”

It was the first time Zhang Yuqi saw Zhang Jingdong so serious. She knew he wasn’t joking now, but rather genuinely discussing her future career.

And she deeply understood that she had no other choice at this point.

So she resolutely said: ”I trust you... I’m willing!”
