Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 970: Chapter 390: Reversing the Routine, Making Her Obedient!

To prevent people at the company from noticing anything, Lin Qingci had Zhang Jingdong go downstairs first.

It was more than twenty minutes later before she went down.

However, right after she left the company, everyone started discussing her and Zhang Jingdong, the big boss.

Half an hour later, they arrived at Dragon Fragrance House.

This place specializes in Fujian cuisine.

Zhang Jingdong quickly scanned through the menu and then said to the waiter, ”Two orders of Buddha Jumps Over the Wall, one order of white-cut Hetian chicken, one of bamboo-braised abalone, one of lychee pork, one of Half Moon Sinking River, one of Taiping swan, and one of Nine Gate Boiled.”

He then handed the menu to Lin Qingci, ”See if there’s anything else you want to add?”

Lin Qingci waved her hand, ”That’s plenty. Let’s stick with these for now.”

Zhang Jingdong then ordered an additional oyster pancake before handing the menu back to the waiter.

Not long after the dishes arrived, the two began to eat and chat.

Zhang Jingdong asked, ”Aren’t you curious about where I’ve been this time?”

A playful glint flashed in Lin Qingci’s eyes.

”Where? Hang City?”

Zhang Jingdong looked amazed, ”Don’t tell me you guessed that? If so, you could go into fortune-telling!”

Lin Qingci deliberately hesitated for five or six seconds, took a calm bite of the lychee pork, and then said, ”Obviously, your girlfriend told me.”

”Yesterday, the two of us had dinner together, and she said her Mr. Yan almost cooperated with a company in Hang City just to see you, and Jieyu almost helped facilitate it.”

”You’re such a hot commodity!”

Zhang Jingdong didn’t engage with that and continued, ”Then guess what I went to Hang City for?”

”What else could you be doing, obviously going to be all lovey-dovey with the Ye family’s heiress!”

Zhang Jingdong sighed, ”You see, that’s too narrow-minded. Do you know aside from being the Ye family’s heiress, what she does herself?”

”Investment company.”

”I can’t believe you even know that, impressive!”

Lin Qingci pursed her lips, ”Before you met, she even assessed our company. At the time, it didn’t work out because we couldn’t agree on the investment amount and shareholding ratio, and she was also busy with other projects.”

”So that’s how it was, alright then.”

”Did you invest in her investment company?”

Zhang Jingdong nodded, ”Not just invested, I co-invested with her in Ma Yun’s Alibaba.”

”Really...” Lin Qingci was instantly shocked, ”Alibaba is now the fastest-growing internet company in the country. How much did you invest? What stake do you own?”

Zhang Jingdong was very pleased with Lin Qingci’s astonishment and replied a bit smugly, ”Not much, we invested 50 million US dollars in total, owning 20% of the shares.”

”50 million US dollars!?” Lin Qingci was thoroughly shocked, ”How much of that did you contribute?”

Zhang Jingdong stretched his right hand, ”50 million US dollars.”

”Wh... What? All that money came from you?”

”Yes, I put in the money, and Miss Ye provided the resources. In other words, the reason I invested in her company was to get the opportunity to invest in major companies like Alibaba.”

Lin Qingci suddenly understood, ”Alright, that’s quite a strategic move.”

”But I really didn’t expect that after investing 100 million in our company, you could put up another 300 million in less than a month. You’ve got some serious clout!”

Zhang Jingdong teased, ”So, do you feel you’ve struck gold by being with a man who’s both rich and handsome?”

”Tch... I wouldn’t be with you just because of your money!”

Zhang Jingdong chuckled and then said, ”Can you guess why I decided to invest in Ali?”

Lin Qingci blinked her deep eyes, ”It’s pretty easy to understand. Everyone in the internet industry now knows the enormous potential of Alibaba, investing in them is highly likely to yield hefty returns.”

”That’s indeed a very important reason, but it’s not the main reason I invested in them.”

Lin Qingci grew curious, ”Then what’s the main reason you invested in them?”

”Do you really want to know?”

Lin Qingci was intrigued, and when she saw Zhang Jingdong playing coy, she glared at him, ”Are you going to tell me or not?”

”I can tell you, but it’s considered the top secret of our group company, so if you want to know, you have to agree to a small request of mine.”

”You... You’re actually playing this game with me? Fine, I don’t want to know anymore!”

”Alright, since you really don’t want to know, let’s pretend this topic never happened. Let’s eat!”

As he said this, Zhang Jingdong actually picked up his chopsticks and began eating again.

Lin Qingci hesitated for five seconds, finally couldn’t hold it any longer, ”Hey... you... okay, what’s your request?”

Zhang Jingdong stifled a laugh, ”Since we met, you’ve always worn formal attire. The only time I saw you in casual clothes was at your birthday party, so... I’m really curious about what you look like in pajamas at home.”

”Tonight, after you go back, before going to bed, take a photo in front of the mirror, and send it to me via MMS.”

”You... Zhang Jingdong, you pervert, what are you thinking, that... won’t do!”

Zhang Jingdong maintained his composure, ”President Lin, I’m asking you to wear pajamas, not nothing at all. You’re being too stingy!”

Just then, a thought struck Zhang Jingdong, ”You don’t sleep in the nude every day, do you?”

”You’re the one who sleeps nude!”

”I do enjoy sleeping nude...” Zhang Jingdong smirked, ”Since you don’t like it, then what are you afraid of?”

Lin Qingci retorted annoyed, ”Do you even need to ask? That would be too... you sleaze!”
