Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 956: Chapter 385: Taking the Two of Them to the Private Lounge...

With an exaggerated grumble, she rolled her eyes at Zhang Jingdong: ”Hmph... You don’t know how to let me win at all!”

”You actually have no attachment to me, fine, I’ll let you go, okay!”

Zhang Jingdong immediately shook his head with a wry smile: ”Ye Jinyan, you’re being a bit of a sore loser here. I can stay tonight, but this chessboard is like a battlefield, and since we’re on the battlefield, we should give it our all, right?”

”Besides, I actually let you win earlier, okay? I only used 80% of my strength; otherwise, you would have lost ages ago!”

Ye Jinyan pouted: ”Look at you being all smug, do you think you’re invincible! Le, why don’t you play a game with him and show him the prowess of our Zhejiang Province Go Institute!”

Zhang Jingdong immediately looked at Guan Le in surprise: ”You’re actually from the Provincial Go Academy?”

Guan Le shook her head: ”I’m not from the Go Academy.”

Ye Jinyan chimed in: ”Le isn’t from our Provincial Go Academy, but her grandpa is the head of the Provincial Go Academy, and Le has been learning Go from her grandpa since she was a child. Now, her skill surpasses most of the professional players in the Provincial Go Academy.”

”Previously, there was a Go competition held in our province, and Le defeated eight masters from the Provincial Go Academy in a row and ended up winning third place. So, what do you think, scared yet?”

Seeing Ye Jinyan elevate Guan Le to such a level, Zhang Jingdong immediately chimed in: ”Since Ms. Guan is this skilled in Go, how about we have a game now?”

Though Guan Le was still a bit conflicted about the wager punishment, Ye Jinyan and Zhang Jingdong had already spoken to this extent, and most importantly, she really wanted to play a game with Zhang Jingdong right now.

So, after a slight pause, she nodded: ”...Alright.”

Seeing her fall for it, Zhang Jingdong naturally said: ”If I lose later, I’ll agree to one request of yours, whatever it may be, and I won’t say no.”

”But if I happen to win, Ms. Guan, you’ll agree to one request of mine, okay? No problem, right?”

Upon hearing this, and seeing Zhang Jingdong’s expression, Guan Le immediately sensed his ”sinister intentions.”

However, since she had already agreed to play, backing out now because of his proposed wager would make it look like she was afraid of him.

But if she did accept his wager, and if he really was holding back most of his strength when playing against Ye Jinyan earlier, and then ended up beating her too, what if he made an over-the-top request then?

And just at this moment, Ye Jinyan encouraged again: ”Le, take the bet! With your skills, you’ll surely beat him and put an end to his arrogance!”

This convinced Guan Le completely, and she turned to Zhang Jingdong: ”Alright, as you said, let’s play!”

Zhang Jingdong couldn’t help but feel pleased and extended his hand: ”Please!”

After a bit of tidy-up, the two officially started.

Zhang Jingdong still played white, while Guan Le played black, taking the first move.

Earlier, when playing against Ye Jinyan, Zhang Jingdong held back his strength to avoid hurting her feelings, but now with Guan Le, he’d decided to go all out to show them just how capable the men in their lives are.

Also, to save time, so he could punish them later.

Then, by around the 70th move, Guan Le started to struggle.

And by the 100th move, she was finding it difficult to make a move.

This couldn’t be entirely blamed on Zhang Jingdong for being too harsh; it was mostly because Guan Le’s style of play, despite her gentle appearance, was sharp.

After 40 moves, she proactively engaged in an intense battle on the right side of the board with Zhang Jingdong.

Gu Li’s style is known for strength and aggressiveness, enjoying the initiative and specializing in creating opportunities through fierce attacks in the mid-game.

As Gu Li’s direct disciple, Zhang Jingdong naturally followed this style.

The earlier match with Ye Jinyan was more like wind and sand, with both sides engaging in a tangled fight, advancing and retreating, and it lasted for almost half an hour.

But the match with Guan Le was more like two knives clashing, and they had only been playing for about 20 minutes before her blade was heavily battered.

At this point, Guan Le sighed and put the piece she was holding back: ”...You’re indeed impressive, I lost!”

Ye Jinyan couldn’t help but admire: ”Boss Zhang, you really were holding back earlier, your Go skills are amazing!”

Zhang Jingdong calmly placed the piece back in the box: ”Looks like you’ve both accepted your loss sincerely, so I assume you’ll honor the wager as well, right?”

Ye Jinyan volunteered: ”I’ll go first, tell me, how do you want to punish me?”

Zhang Jingdong glanced at the lounge: ”It’s not convenient to punish here, let’s go in there.”

With that, he got up and headed to the lounge.

Ye Jinyan turned to Guan Le, seeing her hesitation, and patted her on the shoulder: ”Le, if you’re scared, how about I take your punishment for you?”

Guan Le bit her lip: ”...No need, I lost, didn’t I? It’s just a punishment, I’m not afraid of losing.”

”Alright then... let’s go in.”

”...Okay.”

The two of them followed into the lounge.

Zhang Jingdong sat on the sofa and pointed to the black traditional outfit on the table as they entered: ”Mr. Ye, your punishment is to perform the dance I taught you last night while wearing this outfit.”

Ye Jinyan had an inkling about Zhang Jingdong’s intended punishment, but she hadn’t expected that it would involve wearing her most cherished traditional costume and performing like that, especially when she had to do it voluntarily.

However, there was nothing she could do since she lost to him.

She nodded: ”...Okay.”
