I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 593: Chapter 51: Blades Unleashed (Part 2)

”Xavi, Xavi, Xavi!”

The Barcelona fans in the stands raised their arms and cheered, and Xavi’s face broke into a brilliant smile. As he ran towards the corner flag, he occasionally glanced back in the direction of the goal, while the Barcelona players gathered around him.

The Real Madrid fans in the stands cursed, and Casillas looked at Pepe and shook his head helplessly.

”This goal, how should we put it!”

”Casillas had actually stood his ground.”

”Even with the ball breaking through Real Madrid’s defense.”

”If Casillas had actively gone forward, he could have easily secured the ball.”

”But Pepe’s block directly delivered the ball to Xavi’s feet.”

”Xavi’s shot was decisive and of high quality.”

”I have to say, Barcelona was lucky, and Xavi seized the opportunity.”

”Completing the feat of breaking Real Madrid’s defense for the first time in six years with Barcelona.”

Guardiola stood on the sidelines, smiling and applauding. Mourinho paced back and forth, muttering curses, as Pepe had made quite a few mistakes this season.

Even though Mourinho knew people would make mistakes.

But at Camp Nou, facing Barcelona, facing Guardiola, making such an error still broke Mourinho somewhat.

This could have been avoided.

Pepe got up looking somewhat lost and a bit red-eyed, clearly agitated by the mistake.

As Barcelona’s players celebrated, Chen Zhong ran over, patting Pepe’s shoulder and comforting him, ”It’s okay, keep your mindset. We’re not facing nobodies.”

Chen Zhong’s action also caused other players to curb their emotions.

Barcelona’s continuous passing, that kind of ”dragging” playstyle, made them a bit irritable, and this way of conceding a goal made some players grumble internally.

But seeing Chen Zhong comforting Pepe and encouraging other players to maintain their mindset, they gradually calmed down.

After all, time was still long. It was hard to say who would have the last laugh.

”Barcelona celebrated with fervor.”

”The Real Madrid players expressed their grievances.”

”Ramos even grabbed his national team mate.”

”The referee intervened.”

Xavi’s ”record-breaking” goal made the celebration linger, but eventually, the game had to continue.

Real Madrid resumed with the ball, Chen Zhong and Cristiano Ronaldo engaged in a series of passing plays, drawing the attention of Busquets and Iniesta.

Chen Zhong received a pass from Cristiano Ronaldo and performed a stepover, shifting Busquets’ balance before kicking the ball to the other side.

”Chen Zhong and C. Ronaldo’s continuous coordination.”

”Busquets with a direct interception.”

”Step-over.”

”A slight feint.”

”Pass!”

”Kaka!”

The dormant Kaka finally showed his fangs. While Iniesta was drawn to Chen Zhong, Kaka was slowly progressing forward.

When Chen Zhong inadvertently glanced at him, the tacit understanding they built during their time at Milan needed no further words.

As he moved forward, the ball came to his feet.

Kaka smiled discreetly, as Chen Zhong’s passing now was much more comfortable than before.

”Chen Zhong’s incisive through ball.”

”Not to C. Ronaldo.”

”Kaka!”

The ball was perfectly placed, just in front of Kaka. He didn’t need to stop it; he simply took off and burst between Pique and Abidal.

Kaka’s injuries had long healed.

That three-month-long rest had completely exorcized the ”ghost” haunting him.

Kaka’s body was already in peak condition. The only issue was that now Kaka was a ”Buddhist” youth, beginning to savor football.

Yet this didn’t mean his threat was any less.

When he truly unleashed his sword, it was like a spear without a head that could still kill.

Driving straight into the heart of Barcelona.

Barcelona had just taken the lead, just made their fans ecstatically cheer, but now they were choked by Kaka, leaving them breathless.

Valdes didn’t just wait at the goal; he chose to rush out to intercept.

But just as he rose, Kaka coolly slotted the ball into the far corner, successfully sending it into the net.

2:2

Real Madrid once again leveled the score.

Kaka, like a cold-blooded assassin, slit Barcelona’s throat.

”Kaka!”

”Charging into the penalty area!”

”Coolly slots it into the far corner!”

”It’s in! It’s in!”

”2:2”

”Real Madrid equalized the score.”

”With an assist from Chen Zhong, Kaka’s goal.”

”Their coordination was very seamless.”

”Kaka seemed to know in advance that Chen Zhong would pass.”

”And Chen Zhong seemed to have calculated Kaka’s path precisely.”

”As Kaka’s speed was about to peak.”

”The ball came right to his feet.”

”One acceleration, one touch.”

”Charged straight between Pique and Abidal.”

”Valdes tried to stop Kaka.”

”But it was in vain!”

Seeing this scene, Guardiola looked to the sky with gritted teeth, frowning as he looked at Kaka. He admitted that he indeed underestimated this former Son of God.

But having had his heart pierced, he would put away this bit of undeserved underestimation.

At the same time, he gave a thoughtful glance to Chen Zhong.

Guardiola always admired Chen Zhong. Chen Zhong wasn’t like Yaya Toure, who clung too much to the ball, but rather an ”all-powerful warrior” with broad vision, high football intelligence, and adaptability both long and short.

Guardiola had often thought that if Chen Zhong were his player, how happy he would be!

In Guardiola’s tactical system, a capable defensive midfielder is very important.

Mourinho also celebrated exuberantly, having thought the team would equalize but not expecting it to happen so quickly.

This scene could be seen as Mourinho’s tactical design, but actually, it was more about the players’ tacit understanding and individual brilliance.

”This kid!” Mourinho turned and said to Francisco: ”He already has the ability to determine the outcome of the match.”

The former Galaxy Battleship relied on the individual brilliance of superstars to defeat Barcelona.

And the current Real Madrid might be about to welcome their new ”superstar.”

After scoring, Kaka first raised his hands to the sky to thank God, then ran to the corner flag for a very genteel celebration.

During the celebration, the feeling of excitement and bravado was palpable, but Kaka’s celebration only exuded the warmth of a spring breeze.

Most of Real Madrid’s players might be full of fighting spirit, but Kaka was far from his Derby della Madonnina self and rather exuded an indescribable sense of calm.

This made some Real Madrid fans frown a bit amidst their joy.

The former Kaka, during the Derby della Madonnina, appeared not as genteel but rather in a fiery manner.

However, they soon turned their attention back to Chen Zhong.

Chen Zhong hugged Kaka and then waved towards the stands.

When Barcelona’s fans jeered Chen Zhong, Real Madrid’s fans expressed their support for him with cheers.

”The match continues.”

”In just 15 minutes, four goals have already been scored.”

”Who knows how many more goals will be scored in the time remaining.”

”Both teams were very well prepared before the match.”

”Barcelona kicked off.”

”Chen Zhong?”
