I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 579: Chapter 44: Provoking Me? (2)

Last season, Chen Zhong won the league Golden Boot, the Champions League Golden Boot, and the European Golden Boot, while Messi earned three silver boots in the league, Champions League, and Europe.

Scoring 15 goals in 9 matches, such statistics prove that for Messi, it doesn’t matter who the opponent is, what jersey he wears, or what the competition is.

This is Messi scoring in 8 consecutive matches.

Among his 15 recent goals, 10 came from La Liga, 1 from the national team, 3 from the Champions League, and 1 from the King’s Cup. Last season, he scored a total of 47 goals. If he continues at this scoring efficiency, Messi has every chance to surpass last season’s record, breaking the 50-goal mark.

Although maintaining a stable scoring efficiency in front of the goal is not easy, considering this person is Messi, almost nothing is impossible.

The Athletic Bilbao fans are not as honest as they seem. After entering the stadium and when the players from both teams came out, when Chen Zhong appeared and enjoyed the cheers from the Bernabeu fans,

They collectively shouted, ”Messi! Messi! Messi!”

Last season, Chen Zhong’s goals led significantly, but after entering the new season, his goals have yet to break double digits.

The two teams exchanged flags, followed by hugs.

Fernando Llorente hugged Chen Zhong tightly, and said, ”I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time.”

”This time, I’ll let you experience the feeling I once had.”

”You’re confident,” Chen Zhong looked at Fernando Llorente and smiled, ”I’m waiting.”

The players from both teams came onto the field, and with a whistle from the referee, the match officially began.

Athletic Bilbao got the kickoff. In this match, they clearly had some thoughts, and after the ball was kicked off, it was quickly moved through midfield and then widened.

This is a necessary choice for all teams when facing Real Madrid now.

After all, Real Madrid’s midfield is anchored by a man like Chen Zhong.

”Athletic Bilbao’s attack.”

”Iraula ball control.”

”Whoa!”

”Long pass.”

After the match started, Chen Zhong did not retreat for defense as he usually would but slowly advanced towards the opponent’s half. As long as a teammate steals the ball, a quick counterattack could be launched.

Since Mourinho taught Real Madrid, they have become the best counter-attacking team in all of Europe.

Some even believe that Real Madrid’s counterattack has become an art.

Iraula’s long pass was obviously aimed at Fernando Llorente, the Basque Lion King advancing between Cavaleiro and Khedira. He glanced at Chen Zhong, who hadn’t come over, and gritted his teeth.

A trace of displeasure appeared in his eyes.

Goodness, you’re not coming to mark me, do you think these mismatched players can handle me?

Khedira was at a disadvantage in the physical confrontation with Fernando Llorente. Cavaleiro saw this, moved in to try to help his teammate double-team the opponent.

Fernando Llorente demonstrated his back-to-goal ball-holding technique.

He chested the ball, knocked down Cavaleiro, then bumped into Khedira and burst into Real Madrid’s penalty area between the two.

Casillas saw this scene and decisively chose to charge out.

Fernando Llorente may look sturdy, but never forget his idol is Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Facing Casillas, he didn’t choose to shoot with power but opted for a lob shot.

The ball flew over Casillas’s head.

In that instant, a flash of anger crossed Casillas’s eyes. If someone played his inner voice, you’d certainly hear a thunderous ”Just two inches short~”

The ball fluttered towards the goal.

”Fernando Llorente!”

”Casillas leaves the goal to charge out.”

”Lob shot!”

”Didn’t touch the ball.”

”Into the net!”

”Llorente!!!”’

”Goal!”

”The Basque Lion King!”

”Athletic Bilbao only used two minutes.”

”To breach Real Madrid’s goal!”

”0:1”

After confirming the goal, Fernando Llorente waved his right arm and celebrated wildly. He ran towards the corner flag, pointing at Chen Zhong on the opposite end, nodding as he ran.

As if saying!

Not marking me?

Are you sure?

Come over, mark me closely!

Casillas stood in the goal with his hands on his hips, his face livid.

His height is not outstanding for a goalkeeper, and to this world-class keeper, high balls have always been his weak spot.

Cavaleiro and Khedira looked at each other.

In the physical confrontation with Fernando Llorente, they really felt as if they were facing Chen Zhong in a training match.

That overwhelming feeling of being crushed made them feel like they were going to be shattered.

Some discontented booing came from the Real Madrid fans in the stands. In their view, how could Cavaleiro and Khedira let Fernando Llorente slip past them like that?

With the current situation.

In the upcoming national derby, can you expect them to defend against Messi?

Meanwhile, Mourinho was ranting incessantly on the sidelines, loudly cursing.

He wasn’t just cursing Khedira and Cavaleiro; he was also cursing Pepe.

”With your performance, do you still want that much salary?”

”Just a little more effort, and you had a chance to block the shot before the open goal.”

Athletic Bilbao had a dream start, and their fans in the stands were busy taking out their phones to message friends and family.

”The match continues.”

”Real Madrid’s kickoff.”

”Chen Zhong on the ball.”

”Trying to advance with the ball in midfield.”

”Fernando Llorente drops back deeply.”

”Whoa!”

After receiving the ball, Chen Zhong did not immediately pass it but slowly advanced with it in midfield. This is not only bold but also a psychological game.

At this moment, Fernando Llorente rushed forward, trying from behind to poke the ball from under Chen Zhong’s feet, but Chen Zhong didn’t take it seriously.

Instead, he simply adjusted his position and held the spot.

Seeing this, Fernando Llorente wanted to use his body.

Using the momentum from running, he almost made Chen Zhong stumble and almost lose the ball.

But at the last moment, Chen Zhong swept the ball to Alonso on the side.

”That must’ve been heavy.”

”But Chen Zhong didn’t fall!”

”The ball swept to Alonso.”

”Alonso receives and directly launches a long pass from the backfield.”

”Negredo drops back.”

”Light header touch.”

”Back to Chen Zhong.”

Fernando Llorente had a smug look on his face!

He waited for Chen Zhong’s glance back.

He had even thought of what to say to mock Chen Zhong.

But Chen Zhong just gave him a hard bump and quickly charged forward.

Fernando Llorente initially didn’t know what Chen was looking at until he saw Negredo leap up in the distance, then head the ball back.

In an instant, he understood Chen Zhong’s intention.

He swiftly moved forward, and even before reaching, his hands were already grabbing at Chen Zhong.

Chen Zhong didn’t stop the ball, directly flicked it in mid-air, sending the ball towards Kaka’s direction.

Kaka immediately escaped from the defender on the spot and quickly advanced towards Athletic Bilbao’s penalty area.

This kind of on-the-spot escaping ability left the defender behind in Kaka’s exhaust, but their coach had obviously made arrangements.

Kaka’s cut-in route was blocked.

While Chen Zhong was followed closely by Fernando Llorente like a shadow.

He, a forward, surprisingly tangled with Chen Zhong all the way to the penalty area.

”Don’t think you can shake me off!”

”Kid!”

Fernando Llorente taunted Chen Zhong verbally. Chen Zhong looked at him and replied, ”Then you’d better keep up!”
