I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 555: Chapter 33: Ask Around, Who’s the Boss!

Santiago Bernabeu Stadium

Diego Costa still didn’t know what he was about to face.

Amid the exclamations of the fans, he was immersed in the fantasy of becoming famous with a single goal, rushing towards the Real Madrid penalty area.

From the side, Chen Zhong, seizing the opportunity without any hesitation, executed a textbook sliding tackle, charging in like an unstoppable mudslide from the side.

”Atletico Madrid on the attack.”

”Costa with the ball.”

”Chen Zhong.”

”Side tackle!”

”Beautiful!”

Diego Costa never expected Chen Zhong to be so decisive and could only watch helplessly as the ball was tackled away by Chen Zhong, and his supporting leg was also clipped slightly by him.

A sharp pain shot up his calf, and with a leap defying the laws of physics, Diego Costa dramatically portrayed himself as an innocent player tackled unfairly.

”Ah~”

Diego Costa cried out in pain, clutching his calf with both hands, convulsing face down on the grass, even finding time to slap the turf with one hand.

All of this signified the supposed grave injury the poor man had suffered from the recent tackle.

However, the main referee ignored all this, since he was not far away at the incident moment and clearly saw that Chen Zhong tackled the ball first and his studs were well controlled.

From his experience, Diego Costa was acting quite a bit.

The game continued, with Cavaleiro clearing the ball before Fernando could get to it, and realizing he wasn’t receiving the referee’s attention, Diego Costa stopped rolling on the ground.

Instead, he got up, raised his hands with a look of extreme grievance on his face.

Chen Zhong glanced at Diego Costa and muttered, ”He’s quite the troublemaker. In the future of football, there’s definitely a place for this guy.”

Atletico Madrid’s playing style was gradually turning into ”iron-blooded” or rather ”dirty.”

And Diego Costa fit Atletico Madrid’s playing style perfectly, like a thug, showing no mercy when bullying the weak, practically a divine being.

But when he suffered, he would roll around on the ground, demanding attention.

If such a player was your opponent, it would be utterly disgusting, like chewing gum stuck to you, or a pile of dung, making one sick to their stomach.

Diego Costa evidently also knew his style of play wasn’t well-liked; amid the boos from Real Madrid, he pursed his lips, spread his hands, shrugged his shoulders with an indifferent expression.

He even made a provocative gesture when Pepe glared at him, as if to say, ”Come on! Hit me! Idiot!”

And when passing Chen Zhong, he didn’t relax his expression, his hands wandered around, and verbally, he wouldn’t shut up, saying, ”So, you’re a sissy too!”

”You hurt me, you know? You dishonest thief.”

”You’re just like a piece of shit.”

Watching Diego Costa with a look that said, ”I insulted you so badly, aren’t you mad?” Chen Zhong could only think that foreign insult proficiency was still somewhat lacking.

Though he hadn’t stayed home much, he had overheard some arguments between his parents back home.

Noticing Pepe and Kaka also looking over, Chen Zhong decided to give Costa a little taste of the ”essence of culture.”

”Oh~” Chen Zhong first feigned surprise to attract Diego Costa’s attention, then covered his mouth with his hand and said, ”It’s a pity your father didn’t finish you on the wall; otherwise, they’d surely hope you’d be found.”

”Because he definitely couldn’t believe he’d produce such a gem like you. Honestly, if I were you, I’d wear a mask when going out or simply not go out at all.”

”Has anyone ever told you your looks are quite distinctive?”

”Okay! It seems like the people around you are indeed kind. Do you love your country? Here’s a little suggestion, maybe you could visit a country you hate, since you’d surely lower their average score.”

”Oh! Right, you’re a Spaniard now.”

”Hello, Brazilian.”

...

(All the above were refined expressions.)

Diego Costa’s eyes widened, his face alternating between green, white, and then red, looking especially cute.

In general, footballers’ minds are relatively simple, many are just like children. Zidane even let anger get the better of him and headbutt someone in the chest during a critical World Cup match because someone offended his...

Chen Zhong spoke very fast, and Diego Costa understood every fluent Spanish word, some he understood, some less so, but the only thing he knew was that Chen Zhong’s words were dirty, and now his heart was pounding rapidly.

Diego Costa wanted to open his mouth to counter, but by that time, Chen Zhong had already taken his hands down and walked away smiling.

Very well, Chen Zhong had taught this former Brazilian, who later defected to Spain, a lesson.

After insulting someone, never stay in place, and certainly don’t seriously listen to everything the other person has to say when they call out to you...

Later on, whenever Diego Costa successfully provoked opponents on the field with words, he’d say.
