I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 559: Chapter 35: Declaration of War, A New Era

”Look! Look at the injuries on my face.”

Diego Costa was loudly complaining in front of the camera, refusing to mention his actions of pushing Kaka, hitting Pepe, and elbowing Chen Zhong during the match. He simply pointed to his treated wounds, where the blood was deliberately left unwiped, and loudly complained about the ”unfair” treatment he received.

”Many people say he is a contender for the Ballon d’Or.”

”But the winner of the Ballon d’Or shouldn’t be like this.”

”If someone with such dirty tactics can win the Ballon d’Or, it would be an insult to the award. He should be a moral player; at least this kind of behavior is unacceptable.”

Diego Costa said with conviction, his eyes firm, his words fast and powerful, already laying the groundwork for the next encounter with the other person from that moment onwards.

Many domestic fans who watched the game described Diego Costa’s shameless comments as ”moral coercion.”

[Honestly, not good-looking, but thinking rather beautifully.]

[ I couldn’t see him trying to elbow (comically) and failing?]

[Chancellor Zhuge said, ”I have never seen such shamelessness. Why do I love hearing you bark here? This last part is what I said...”]

...

Anyway, a feud between Diego Costa and Chen Zhong has been formed.

In response to Diego Costa’s provocation, Chen Zhong casually remarked during a post-match interview, ”Use the right method for the right person, it’s that simple.”

As for the question about whether he would refrain from actions similar to the elbow strike that injured Diego Costa’s eye socket, Chen Zhong simply chuckled and said, ”I regret it.”

”But if you watched the replay, you’ll notice that Diego Costa also elbowed my abdomen at the time.”

”But I won’t loudly complain after the match, nor doubt my team’s medical skills.”

”Even if someone asked, I would say it wasn’t his elbow actively hitting my abs; it was my abs actively hitting his elbow.”

...

The journalists looked at each other, while Diego Costa also sneered upon hearing Chen Zhong’s response.

What does it mean, that it’s not you actively elbowing my eye socket, but my brain was problematic, and my eye socket actively hit your elbow?

Is that what you mean?

And am I some shameless person?

What do you mean by using the right method for the right person?

Explain it to me...

...

In contrast to the explosive tension between the players, the coaches of both teams seemed more laid-back.

Diego Simeone faced the camera openly addressing the defeat, stating, ”I know many people are making fun of us because we’ve always seen Real Madrid as our rival, but we’ve struggled to perform consistently, and haven’t beaten Real Madrid for a long time. Some fans even mockingly call us Real Madrid’s point machine.”

Simeone’s words were spoken with emotion.

Atletico Madrid’s revenue is less than a quarter, even a fifth, of Real Madrid or Barcelona’s, and in recent years, Atletico Madrid’s debt has matched, even exceeded theirs.

At the same time, Atletico Madrid’s performance has been unstable.

In La Liga, there’s a sentiment that apart from Real Madrid and Barcelona, other teams seem to fluctuate between La Liga and Segunda Division.

Atletico Madrid only returned to La Liga ten years ago, during the 2001-02 season.

Upon hearing Diego Simeone’s words, the journalists showed knowing smiles, perhaps thinking this wild Argentine had accepted his fate.

Recognized the differences in level.

But then, Diego Simeone’s statement surprised them.

”But I came here to change this situation.”

”Perhaps the team’s funds are limited, perhaps there are many difficulties.”

”However, the club invited me here to inject the genes we once had into this team.”

Diego Simeone was born on April 28, 1970, in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.

Growing up in a football-rich environment in Argentina, during the peak of Argentine star Diego Maradona’s career, Simeone was influenced and joined the youth system of Argentina’s Sassfield Club at age 14, starting his football career.

After joining the Sassfield youth system, Simeone, who was still developing, showed characteristics of being energetic, having strong running capacity, and relentless endurance.

Simeone was once a midfield genius player, and after two seasons playing for Sassfield’s first team, he joined the Serie A club Pisa. He was the youngest player on the team, only 19 years old.

Soon, Pisa was relegated to Serie B due to insufficient strength. Simeone then joined Sevilla Club in La Liga. After a brief honeymoon period, he gradually lost his starting position. In his second season, seeking more playing time, he chose to join Atletico Madrid.
