New Ability Every Ten Days: Becoming a Vampire Made Me Too OP

After learning just how ruthless Edward was, Yu Xian felt a pressing sense of urgency. Edward could obtain the abilities of special vampires like him and Nora by drinking their blood. Although Huaxia had previously protected Yu Xian and prevented the Blood Race from acting against him, Edward definitely knew he existed.

It meant that from this moment onward, both he and Nora were Edward’s prey. They were relatively safe while hiding inside the Huaxia Pocket Dimension, but what if something unexpected happened?

Yu Xian patted his cheeks and rose from the sofa. He could not simply sit around and wait for death. He had to seize every second to strengthen himself. No matter what happened in the future, becoming stronger could never be the wrong choice.

First, he needed to understand his own strengths and weaknesses. Compared with Edward, Yu Xian believed his greatest advantage was his spatial ability. He could flee to another world at any time. His disadvantage was that his rank was far too low. A Power value of 0.08 corresponded to Tiger rank. On the Blue Planet, Tiger rank certainly did not count as weak, but that depended entirely on who his opponent was. Before a Star-rank powerhouse, God-ranks, Dragon-ranks, and Tiger-ranks were all equally insignificant.

Once Yu Xian reached this conclusion, he understood that there was no way for him to reach Dragon rank anytime soon, while God rank was even more distant. If he wanted to improve his combat prowess, training his spatial abilities was far more realistic.

He recalled Eternal Purity mentioning that fully mastering an ability purified it. Will purifying an ability also provide benefits at my current rank?

Yu Xian never kept questions to himself. He immediately looked at Eternal Purity. ”Auntie, would constantly using and training my abilities benefit me even now?”

She smiled. ”Isn’t that obvious? The purer an ability becomes and the greater your control over it, the more powerful it will naturally get.”

Yu Xian pressed on. ”Then how should I train if I want to master my abilities as quickly as possible?”

”The smart methods are beyond your reach, but there is a crude one: fight. Whether it’s a friendly spar or a battle to the death, combat will increase your proficiency with your abilities much faster.”

Yu Xian felt as though she were looking down on him. I have a Super Brain, for goodness’ sake. What does she mean by saying the smart methods are beyond my reach?

Unwilling to accept it, he looked at her. ”Auntie, why don’t you explain the smart method first? Maybe I can learn it.”

Eternal Purity smiled. ”The clever method is very simple. Understand the origin of an ability at a glance, grasp its structure, comprehend every last detail, and finally... master it!”

Yu Xian stared at her in silence. That was not a smart method at all, but something only a freak could pull off. If he could understand, learn, and master an ability with a glance, he would not be hiding inside the Huaxia Pocket Dimension right now. He would be making a grand appearance on the Blue Planet and waiting for Edward to walk straight into his trap.

When it comes to fighting...

Yu Xian’s mind instantly filtered through a large number of suitable opponents. Given his current strength, Gong Qian, the duo of Gan Jiang and Mo Ye, and Xiong Da would all make excellent sparring partners. Gong Qian could help him train his movement techniques, while Gan Jiang and Mo Ye could help him refine his abilities. As for Xiong Da, Yu Xian could trade blows with him head-on. ℯℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Although Xiong Da appeared to have lost to Nora, what he had actually lost to was the defensive equipment forged by Eternal Purity. Without that equipment, Nora probably would not have lasted two seconds against him.

However, Yu Xian still needed to find a suitable place for them to spar. Given the destructive power of those three, a real fight would easily level several mountains. Right now, every piece of the natural environment inside the Huaxia Pocket Dimension was precious and couldn’t be carelessly destroyed. As for sparring outside the Huaxia Pocket Dimension, Edward would no doubt be delighted by that idea.

After considering it for a moment, Yu Xian muttered to himself, ”As expected, the most urgent task is to create a pocket dimension. Otherwise, I won’t even have a place where I can fight at full strength.”

He created a spatial bubble in front of him and stepped inside. The next instant, he appeared beneath the surface of the Red Planet.

The first step was to absorb spatial energy. He obviously could not absorb the spatial energy of the Huaxia Pocket Dimension. However, the universe outside was so vast that taking a tiny amount should not matter.

He emerged from the spatial bubble and sat cross-legged atop it. Activating Steal Heaven’s Workings, he absorbed the surrounding spatial energy. Gradually, the mutated Blood Energy serving as his foundation became increasingly crystalline and translucent.

Once he had absorbed as much spatial energy as he could, he immediately returned to the Huaxia Pocket Dimension. He appeared in the rear garden of his 2,000-square-meter Chinese-style villa and slowly raised his right hand. A tiny bubble formed at the tip of his index finger and rapidly expanded.

Half an hour later, an enormous bubble floated above the rear garden. Yu Xian looked up at it. ”The first step is complete. Now for the second!”

He entered the bubble and first cast the Art of So Vast That Nothing Lies Beyond. The interior, whose boundaries had previously been visible, instantly became an endless expanse of white. Yu Xian then used the Art of So Small That Nothing Lies Within, shrinking the enormous bubble from outside until it measured only around two meters in diameter.

After casting both arts, he stepped out of the potworld bubble. He used Contain Mount Sumeru on it, instantly expanding its interior space to an immense degree. The space within, which had been large enough to accommodate only a village, could now hold an entire small town.

Confirming that the space had been expanded to its limit, Yu Xian entered the potworld bubble once more. Another bubble appeared in his hand, and a vast amount of seawater poured out of it.

Somewhere in one of the Blue Planet’s oceans, a bubble siphoned up seawater. Every drop that entered the bubble was transported to Yu Xian’s location, gradually flooding the previously empty potworld bubble.

Once the water reached a depth of ten meters, Yu Xian sat atop a bubble and swiftly flew to the center of the potworld bubble. Vast quantities of rock and soil poured out from the bubble beneath him. As before, several hand-shaped bubbles rapidly excavated soil and rock from a remote mountain range somewhere on the Blue Planet, then tossed everything into a spatial bubble.

After an entire day and night, a beautiful Island Pocket Dimension took shape. Yu Xian covered the island with grass and planted a great variety of vegetation. Once he had beautifully decorated the entire island, he emerged from the potworld bubble.

Yu Xian pressed a hand against the bubble’s surface. ”Art of Neither Lost nor Destroyed!”

When he cast that ability, everything within the potworld bubble was instantly recorded and permanently fixed in place.

Finally, he breathed a slight sigh of relief. After working on this project for so long, even he felt somewhat exhausted. Moreover, casting the spells and abilities of the Art of the World Within a Pot was far from costless. He had consumed enormous amounts of both mental energy and Blood Energy.

However, the pocket dimension was not yet complete. After resting for a short while, he pressed his hands against the potworld bubble and simultaneously cast the Art of Neither Excessiveness nor Deficiency and the Art of Blending All. Once the effects of both arts had stabilized, no matter how thoroughly they destroyed the plants inside the potworld bubble, every plant would grow back within minutes.

Now, the perfect battlefield and vacation destination was complete.

Yu Xian entered the potworld bubble and brought a lounge chair out of his spatial ring. He walked onto the beach, unfolded the chair, and sat down. Gazing at the rolling waves, he could not help but let out a long, contented sigh.

The preparations for the battle were finally complete. Now, it was time to gather some sparring partners.
