New Ability Every Ten Days: Becoming a Vampire Made Me Too OP

Xiao Cheng knew that their highest priority was to pinpoint Edward’s whereabouts. However, Edward would never appear in person.

”The Blood Race’s progenitor has always been elusive. I believe he’ll definitely go into hiding and let the Blood Race focus on creating more vampires.”

Many supernatural factions possessed abilities similar to Appraisal. If Edward showed himself in Romulus Dominion, his new ability would most likely be exposed. And then, no faction on Blue Planet would tolerate his existence. He would have to face supernatural beings from across the entire world, while the Blood Race would be hunted and slaughtered.

Under such circumstances, anyone with even a little common sense would choose to remain inconspicuous for a while. Once they became invincible, they could reemerge, sweep aside every faction with overwhelming force, and become the sole voice on Blue Planet.

Gong Qian asked, ”Salted Fish, can you ask that old auntie of yours where the progenitor is?”

Ever since Yu Xian told her that an auntie he had imagined was present beside him, she had felt an unsettling chill around her, as though someone were secretly watching her.

Yu Xian looked at Eternal Purity, but she shook her head. ”You already harbor the intent to kill. I cannot help you.”

Yu Xian earnestly looked at her. ”But if the progenitor doesn’t die, countless people will die in the future!”

Eternal Purity did not refute him, but neither did she relent. Seeing her remain unmoved, Yu Xian sighed helplessly and said to Gon Qian, ”Auntie doesn’t want to say.”

Gong Qian was surprised. ”Did she get angry because I called her old?”

Yu Xian glanced at Eternal Purity and shook his head. ”I don’t think it has anything to do with that. She’s just... kindhearted.”

”Kindhearted?” Gong Qian was dumbfounded, momentarily at a loss for words.

At that moment, Yu Lie instructed the researcher to contact logistics and have Bat’s body collected. He then turned to the others. ”All right, let’s return to the conference room. This matter requires further deliberation.”

Everyone followed Yu Lie. Yu Xian gave Bat one final glance, sighed, and turned to leave.

Eternal Purity suddenly asked, ”Are you leaving?”

Yu Xian turned around and looked at her in confusion. ”Auntie, is there something else here?”

”You could try dripping a drop of Ultimate Source Blood onto him.”

Yu Xian immediately realized what she meant. He walked over to Bat’s desiccated corpse. Black Blood instantly pierced his fingertip, and a drop of Ultimate Source Blood separated from it, landing directly between Bat’s eyebrows.

The researcher from earlier was still holding a phone and contacting logistics. His eyes widened as he stared at the scene in disbelief.

The drop of blood slowly seeped beneath Bat’s skin. Then, his shriveled body gradually began to fill out again. Yu Lie and the others, who had been about to leave, all turned back and watched this unbelievable sight.

A moment later, Bat slowly opened his eyes. He rose from the floor and saw everyone staring at him. ”It seems my vacation is over again.”

Xiao Cheng asked, ”Little Fish, was that Ultimate Source Blood?”

Yu Xian nodded. Yu Lie and Xiao Cheng had already seen him use the Ultimate Source Blood at the Perfect Lifeform factory, so it was not surprising that they recognized it.

Yu Lie got straight to the heart of the matter. ”Then is Bat still himself?”

Bat glanced at Yu Xian. Only after Yu Xian nodded to indicate that he could answer did he say, ”From the perspective of self-awareness, I believe I am still myself. However, I must obey his commands. His orders take priority over my thoughts. The reason I can currently act freely is probably that he hasn’t given me any orders yet.”

Xiao Cheng got curious. ”Little Fish, your Ultimate Source Blood couldn’t revive living beings before, could it?”

Yu Xian nodded. ”Mm. This must be a new effect that appeared after I awakened Super Heart.”

Awakening Super Heart had also strengthened his Seven-Aperture Exquisite Heart. As a result, the Ultimate Source Blood it produced had become even more powerful.

Yu Lie swept his gaze across the room. ”Everyone here must keep this ability confidential. All right... let’s return to the conference room.”

Naturally, they all understood how terrifying Yu Xian’s ability was. Although the people he revived with Ultimate Source Blood had to obey his commands, it was still effectively an extra life. Judging from Bat’s current condition, as long as Yu Xian did not issue any orders, the revived person would not be affected too greatly.

Yu Xian, however, was not quite so optimistic. Although Ultimate Source Blood had not yet visibly affected Bat, it would still gradually reshape a person’s perception. He worried that one day, Bat would end up like Zhou Tai No. 2, kneeling before him and saying something utterly intolerable.

Eternal Purity clearly saw through his concerns. ”Don’t worry. As long as you don’t want that to happen, it won’t.”

Yu Xian breathed a sigh of relief, and his mood gradually improved. Countless thoughts flashed through his mind, but discovering that the Ultimate Source Blood could revive others was still good news for him.

Eternal Purity continued, ”Your Ultimate Source Blood can work on only those without souls. If you use it on a deceased person who possessed a soul, only their body will be revived. You must keep that distinction in mind.”

Yu Xian already knew this. Some beings developed souls in the truest sense after becoming powerful enough, but most living creatures did not actually possess one. Su Zhuo, for example, had no soul. She possessed self-awareness and mental energy, but no soul.

A soul was a vessel of energy. It could only be born once a being’s mental energy grew powerful enough to condense into a tangible form. Therefore, lifeforms without sufficiently strong mental energy generally did not possess souls.

When a being with a soul died, its soul would leave the body. If it received no fresh supply of mental energy, the soul would naturally dissipate after some time.

For beings without souls, however, death was truly the end. Once the light of life went out, everything simply ceased.

Naturally, there were entities like the Namo Race. They existed as pure spiritual beings, and their remarkably stable energy structures allowed them to feed directly on the emotions of other living creatures.

Everyone returned to the conference room. Yu Lie had barely sat down when his phone rang. He asked Xiao Cheng to chair the meeting for the time being and left the conference room.

Quite a few people secretly observed Yu Xian. Some even quietly asked those around them for information about him.

Suddenly, Dubhe raised his phone from beneath the table and yelled, ”Holy crap! Everyone, check the news on Island Nation!”

They all hurriedly took out their phones. A short while later, every person in the room was stunned. Vampires had contaminated the Island Nation’s blood banks. In a single night, hundreds of thousands of people had been turned into wild vampires.

It was only in the morning that the Island Nation discovered hospitals filled with the desiccated corpses of vampires. The horrifying sight had driven several doctors and nurses mad on the spot.

There was no doubt about it. The progenitor of the Blood Race had taken all their blood and power!
