New Ability Every Ten Days: Becoming a Vampire Made Me Too OP

Just as Xu Ao was displaying his overwhelming might, Yu Xian looked down from high above through an eyeball bubble and caught sight of an enormous dark shadow flashing beneath the distant surface of the sea. ”What was that?”

He immediately controlled an eyeball bubble and sent it descending from the sky. Through the bubble, he transmitted his voice to Xu Ao, who was still slaughtering the enemy below. ”General Xu Ao, be careful! Something huge is approaching from the sea!”

Xu Ao glanced at the eyeball bubble, instantly recognized Yu Xian’s voice, and laughed loudly. ”Salted Fish? Don’t worry. As long as it isn’t that Supreme Martial Zombie King, there’s nothing I’m afraid of!”

This was the coastline after all. He completely held the home field advantage here. Nevertheless, despite dismissing Yu Xian’s concerns, Xu Ao remained extremely cautious. ”Water-Sporting Style: Chainsaw Dragon Form.”

Radiating blue light, he plunged headfirst into the sea. When he emerged again, seawater completely enveloped him, transforming him into a colossal water dragon ten thousand meters long.

The water dragon’s mane consisted entirely of countless chainsaws formed from seawater. Their lengths constantly changed. At their longest, they exceeded thirty thousand meters, while even at their shortest, they were still several thousand meters long.

Large numbers of sea beasts and Aberrant Parasites had barely rushed ashore when the chainsaws sliced them in half. They collapsed as blood sprayed into the air.

Yu Xian was stunned. ”Holy crap, he’s strong!”

He could hardly believe that Xu Ao, whom the Supreme Martial Zombie King had defeated with a single punch, was this powerful.

However, just as Xu Ao slaughtered everything in his path, enormous waves surged across the sea. A colossal whale at least three times the size of an ordinary whale leaped out of the water. On the back of the whale stood a shark-headed fishman, clad in bright gold armor.

”Mati!” [1]

The fisherman let out a low roar toward Xu Ao, and the muscles in his arm swelled to an absurd degree. He launched his spear directly at Xu Ao. The spear pierced Xu Ao’s abdomen, sending him plummeting from the sky and spitting a mouthful of blood.

Xu Ao had reacted to the attack extremely quickly. The moment the fisherman threw the spear, Xu Ao had begun dodging while continuously forming water shields in its path. However, something was clearly unusual about the weapon. It instantly penetrated every layer of defense before striking him.

The shark-headed fishman leaped from the whale and landed in front of Xu Ao. He yanked the spear out of Xu Ao’s abdomen.

With blood dripping from his mouth, Xu Ao locked eyes with the enemy and asked in fury, ”Are the Bayao Race trying to start a war?”

The Bayao Race were descended from the ancient Bajau people. However, because of a Forbidden Fruit, the two races had long since become completely unrelated. The former lived in the deep sea, while the latter inhabited coastal regions. In fact, competition over resources had made them bitter enemies.

The shark-headed fishman raised his spear and aimed it at Xu Ao’s head. ”Pahlawan tidak takut mati.” [2]

He thrust the spear toward Xu Ao’s head, only for a torrent of water from Xu Ao’s mouth to blast him several hundred meters away. However, the spear possessed an ability to repel water. It completely ignored the impact of the torrent and plunged into Xu Ao’s mouth, piercing straight through his lower jaw.

Meanwhile, in the sea, large numbers of sharks surfaced. Riding on their backs were Bayaons with the heads of various kinds of fish.

Only half a minute had passed since the shark-headed Bayaon appeared. The moment Yu Xian saw Xu Ao injured, he had already called for reinforcements. In the meantime, the naval forces whom Xu Ao had ordered to defend the city walls rushed down to join the fray.

By the time the large numbers of Bayaons came ashore, Yu Xian, Xiao Cheng, Hua Qiang, Gong Qian, Dubhe, Gan Jiang, and Mo Ye had already appeared beside Xu Ao. At the same time, numerous navy forces surrounded the beach with weapons in hand.

”Serang!” [3]

The shark-headed Bayaon rose from the ground, raised his right arm, and roared. At his command, every Bayaon immediately charged forward.

Xiao Cheng shouted, ”Little Fish, take General Xu Ao away for treatment first! Everyone else, follow me!”

Xu Ao struggled in pain. For some reason, the scene gave him an intense sense of deja vu. He was injured again, and once again, Yu Xian was about to send him away for treatment. This was far too humiliating.

He had only just boasted that he feared nothing as long as the Supreme Martial Zombie King did not appear. Leaving now would be no different from fleeing the battlefield with his tail between his legs.

He shouted at Yu Xian, ”Shahl’ed Fissh! Ah won’ go! Helb me puh th’ shpear oudda mah mouf!”[4]

Since the spear had pierced his lower jaw, his pronunciation was badly distorted. Yu Xian could not understand a word. He stepped forward to ask Xu Ao what he meant, but Xu Ao mistakenly thought the young man was about to send him away from the battlefield and blasted him back with a surge of water.

Xu Ao then formed the water into the shape of a hand and attempted to pull the spear from his jaw. However, the moment the water touched the spear, it passed straight through. No matter what Xu Ao tried, the water could not grip the spear.

On top of that, in his dragon form, his arms were too short to reach his lower jaw. And with the spear still lodged there, he could not transform back into his human form. Doing so would cause the spear to pierce straight through his brain.

In the end, Xu Ao could only look helplessly at Yu Xian. Yu Xian finally understood what the man wanted. He immediately stepped forward, gripped the spear, and forcefully pulled it out.

The spear was nearly five meters long and weighed more than three tons. Both of its ends were exceptionally sharp, while the grip in the middle was lined with rings of grooves to increase friction.

Xu Ao transformed back into his human form, took out a healing spray, and coated the wounds on his lower jaw and left kidney with medicine. He then expressed his gratitude to Yu Xian. ”Thanks!”

With that, he fixed his gaze on the shark-headed Bayaon fighting Xiao Cheng and rejoined the battle.

Yu Xian stored the spear in his spatial ring, swept his gaze across the surroundings, and drew the Manji Thunderflash Blade, preparing to support the others. However, his phone rang at this moment.

He took it out and picked up the call. Yu Lie’s voice came from the other end.

—Little Fish, come to the Supernatural Containment Facility.

”I’ll be there right away.”

He glanced over the battlefield, then enveloped himself in a spatial bubble. The next second, he appeared inside the Supernatural Containment Facility on Kepler, more than six hundred light-years away. Yu Lie was already waiting for him in the corridor.

Yu Xian emerged from the room where he had left the bubble and hurried over. ”Director!”

A solemn expression covered Yu Lie’s face. There was none of the ease he had shown during Yu Xian’s previous visit. He nodded. ”Follow me.”

The two immediately headed deeper into the Supernatural Containment Facility. As they walked, Yu Lie explained why he had summoned him.

”To prepare for the various supernatural disasters that may occur in the future, the country has developed many contingency plans. We have made especially extensive preparations against ”5322,” our ultimate hypothetical enemy. But you’ve probably noticed what has happened over the past two days. Many people’s lifespans have changed. Some have grown longer, while others have become shorter.

”According to the think tank’s analysis, something may have entered our world from the Abyss, altering the course of the entire world. However, these changes may not necessarily be beneficial. The progenitor of the Blood Race is a perfect example. He may have been affected by this shift and undergone changes that we know nothing about.”

Yu Xian asked, ”Director, what do you need me to do?”

Yu Lie smiled. ”After deliberation, we have decided to activate Doomsday Contingency Plan No. 402. You will be Qilin’s designated operative.”
