Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 602: Chapter 600: Arena [2nd Update]

This time for the TV drama broadcast, Lu Xiaobu was even too lazy to sign the contract!

There was no freaking point.

After all, if it weren’t really for being in a rush for time, he wouldn’t have bothered to press people with power!

And now that he has already resorted to pressing people with power, the contract doesn’t really matter anymore!

...

On the other hand.

The person in charge went back and reported this to the film and television industry.

”Pssh! Pressing people with power? What a lowly tactic!”

”Lu Xiaobu resorting to such tactics shows that he’s really running out of options!”

”Yeah, this tactic is a double-edged sword. It might seem effective for now, but don’t forget, Lu Xiaobu, you’re being watched because of this! Once the craze over your ’Anti-Japanese God Drama’ dies down! You’ll find yourself in a deeper abyss because of this!”

”Alas, a struggling fight, a battle of the cornered beast!”

”We’re definitely going to win this one, it’s truly a boring battle!”

”It’s because we are too strong and the opponent too weak! Hahahahaha!”

All these big shots laughed out loud.

They really thought Lu Xiaobu was doomed!

They knew, such behavior meant Lu Xiaobu was putting all his hope on the TV drama he was producing.

But when it comes to TV dramas, they are the professionals!

Especially anti-Japanese dramas, think it’s easy to make a good one?!

If you make it realistic!

A lot of the content wouldn’t be accepted by the masses!

After all, people watch TV dramas more for entertainment!

But if you make it unrealistic, it becomes an ’Anti-Japanese God Drama’!

You can perhaps make a quick buck off an ’Anti-Japanese God Drama,’ but using it to turn the tide?!

There’s a saying for that, crazy!

”Alright, alright, even if it’s just hunting a rabbit, the lion goes all out, we shouldn’t underestimate Lu Xiaobu too much, let’s get to work!”

”Right, that makes sense! How about this! I also have a TV drama ready for release, I’ll urge my team to speed up and clash it with Lu Xiaobu’s, let’s challenge him!”

”That’s settled then, you handle that. As for me, I’ll create some buzz online! Since Lu Xiaobu is pressing with power, we shouldn’t fall behind either!”

”Ok, then let’s wrap up the meeting today, everyone just give their best effort to finish off this Lu Xiaobu sooner rather than later!”

”No problem! I still want to play around a bit, but it’s safer to wrap it up!”

”...”

Online.

The broadcast time for ”Bright Sword” has been announced.

”The anti-Japanese major drama ’Bright Sword,’ directed personally by Lu Xiaobu, will premiere this Friday exclusively on Shimen TV Station, stay tuned.”

As soon as this news came out, it immediately caught the attention of the public.

”It’s finally set! I guessed right, it’s definitely Shimen TV Station. After all, Lu Xiaobu and Shimen TV Station have always been partners!”

”Right, I’ll definitely watch it. Anyway, I don’t think Young Master Bu would go for that ’Anti-Japanese God Drama’ nonsense!”

”I hold the opposite opinion, I think it will definitely be an ’Anti-Japanese God Drama’, but still, I want to watch it. We all know what Lu Xiaobu is like, even if it’s bad, he definitely has a knack for doing it!”

”Exactly, definitely have to check it out!”

”...”

Lu Xiaobu had just issued the notification, and immediately the film company made their move!

”Famously directed by Dong Qing, starring venerable actors Tang Aihui, Jin Xiaodong, Yi Junyi, and others, ’Youth Never Falls Behind’ will be simultaneously broadcasted on various major television stations next Friday. Stay tuned!”

The notification wasn’t the only thing released.

They also published a glamorous poster featuring all the fresh-faced young stars.

Instantly.

Their fans went wild!

”My God! I thought I had to wait another month! Can’t believe it’s airing this Friday!”

”My hubbies! I’m coming!”

”Mua! My hubby is still so handsome!”

”Hahaha, now this will be fun! It’s also on Friday here, they are challenging Lu Xiaobu in the arena!”

”Awesome! I was planning to check out Lu Xiaobu’s epic war drama, but I guess I’m watching this with my girlfriends now, damn!”

”Alas, there’s nothing we can do!”

”Hehehe, being a single aristocrat, I have none of these troubles!”

”I feel like Lu Xiaobu is going to lose! The gap is just too big!”

”Yeah, Lu Xiaobu only has Shimen TV Station, while ’Youth Never Falls Behind’ is on all major TV channels! Lu Xiaobu has a war drama, whereas ’Youth Never Falls Behind’ is the more mainstream and understandable youth idol drama! Not to mention the influx of fresh young talents here! It’s a total crush!”

”Ah, I somewhat pity Lu Xiaobu! He’s being bullied!”

”There’s nothing we can do, it’s their concern, doesn’t relate much to us!”

”...”

As soon as ”Youth Never Falls Behind” came out, it immediately suppressed the news of ”Bright Sword.”

Many people instantly made their choice!

This made the people at the film company scoff even more: ”Lu Xiaobu, we already told you, in this film industry, you’re still way behind! Continue, crush him directly!”

While the arena challenge had not yet concluded.

The film company again jointly released a notification.

”We will temporarily revoke the authorization of the dramas currently broadcasting on Shimen TV Station, but rest assured, we will continue broadcasting on other TV channels!”

This message was even more explosive than the earlier one!

”Dang! Are they being this ruthless? Are they trying to completely block Shimen TV Station?!”

”Does that mean there’s no more dramas to watch on Shimen channel?!”

”Not exactly, after all, the TV station still has its own programs!”

”It seems these film companies are really targeting Lu Xiaobu! It’s one blow after another! They’re not giving Lu Xiaobu any chance to breathe!”

”Ai, Shimen TV Station is really suffering because of this!”

”Can’t really say it’s suffering! Do you even remember what ratings Shimen TV Station had before? They rose only because of Lu Xiaobu’s ’Heavenly Dynasty’s Good Voice’! Now they owe him, it’s justified!”

”Justified or not, the price is too high! Really don’t know what they are thinking!”

”Such a ruthless tactic! Now by cutting off the drama series on Shimen channel, they’re pulling down the ratings of Shimen TV Station! This way, when Friday comes for the arena, Lu Xiaobu will be at a complete disadvantage!”

”Tch, who cares about them? I just want to know, where do I go to watch those halfway-done dramas? They should give us an explanation, right?”

”Exactly, exactly!”

”...”

The film company personnel once again expressed their triumphant, even ferocious smiles: ”You prided yourself on Shimen TV Station’s exclusive broadcasts? With no ratings, where will you find your audience now?! Hahaha!”

They have thought it out well, but does Lu Xiaobu really have no recourse?
