Chapter 286: Chapter 285 Scammers [2 more, subscribe please]

In the following few days, the three Lu brothers respectfully sent their mother to be buried in the ancestral cemetery.

Except for the first day, when Lu Father was quite emotional, he spent the rest of the days cheerful and laughing.

Every day after eating, he’d take a stroll and then return to talking to that particular floorboard.

Lu Xiaobu didn’t go anywhere these days, just to peacefully accompany Lu Father.

Also, due to the nearing end of the year, Liang Lan was busier every day, and Su Luoxue, Zhou Jingyuan, and Wu Qianmin were all busy with exams.

So, Lu Xiaobu actually had a rare and peaceful few days!

Another new day.

Lu Wenhao and Lu Hongbin were whispering in the living room.

”Big brother, do you think Dad has gone crazy? Always squatting in the room every day?”

Lu Wenhao, being straightforward, couldn’t help but ask while looking towards Lu Father’s room.

”Off you go, who talks about our dad and mom like that?”

Lu Hongbin said annoyed, but he couldn’t help but feel a bit worried.

At this time, Lu Xiaobu, who had just gotten up, came downstairs.

”Xiaobu, come here.”

Lu Hongbin waved to Lu Xiaobu.

”What’s up?”

Lu Xiaobu approached holding a bottle of cola, asking perplexed.

”Nothing major, you think Dad is alright, right? Isn’t he stressed? Should I go buy some health supplements for him to try?”

Lu Hongbin muttered softly.

”Yeah, yeah, those things are said to be good for the brain, to prevent dad from getting dementia, which wouldn’t be good.” Lu Wenhuo also chimed in mischievously: ”Qianmin’s family does health supplements, right? Have her send some over, whether or not dad has gone mad, it can’t hurt to eat some.

”Hey, you guys are just worried about dad talking to mom all the time, concerned something might happen, huh? Why make it so complicated?”

Lu Xiaobu rolled his eyes and said.

”So what should we do?” Lu Hongbin’s eyes lit up: ”Xiaobu, do you have a solution?”

”Yeah!”

Lu Xiaobu nodded confidently.

”Alright then, go give it a try, just don’t let something really go wrong.”

Lu Hongbin decided with a clap.

”Okay.”

Lu Xiaobu stuck a straw into the cola and then went to knock on Lu Father’s door.

Seeing this, Lu Hongbin and Lu Wenhao immediately rolled their eyes.

”That stinky kid, this is his solution? Just ask directly?”

”Exactly, how could dad possibly tell the truth?”

”I thought Xiaobu had some cunning plan, seems like we better go buy those supplements.”

”Alright, I’ll contact Qianmin’s dad to prepare some good ones for us.”

”...”

However...

The two brothers were still discussing it.

Lu Father and Lu Xiaobu started talking.

Lu Father: ”Who is it?”

Lu Xiaobu: ”Dad, it’s me.”

”Dad, it’s me.”

”Xiaobu! What’s up? Worried about me? I’m fine, just haven’t talked to your mom in a long time, just chatting more.” Lu Father also knew he had been a bit unusual these days, so he voiced his explanation.

He really was fine, just venting his emotions.

”Yeah, that’s what I said too, but big brother and second brother don’t believe it, big brother said you have dementia, second brother said you’ve gone mad.”

Lu Xiaobu nodded earnestly, spinning a yarn.

Hearing this, everyone fell silent!

Lu Hongbin and Lu Wenhao’s faces turned green.

Lu Xiaobu, you little rascal.

When did we ever say dad has dementia?

Of course, Wenhao saying dad had gone mad was indeed true!

Even so, you can’t talk to dad like that!

What are you trying to do?

”Click!”

The locked door opened.

Lu Father stood out, giving Lu Hongbin and Lu Wenhao a stern look.

”Dad, here, properly straighten out these unfilial sons.”

Lu Xiaobu immediately handed over a feather duster from the side.

”Sure!”

Lu Father took the feather duster and charged at his two unfilial sons: ”Rebelling, are you? Saying your own dad has dementia?! Saying your own dad is crazy?!”

”Dad, dad, dad, no, no, we never said that!”

Lu Hongbin and Lu Wenhao started to run away.

In the past twenty years, Lu Father had been both mother and father, and spanking them was just a part of daily life.

Yes, it was with this feather duster he’d do the spanking.

Though as they grew up, he stopped spanking them.

But even so, the sight of this feather duster still sent shivers down their spines!

Lu Xiaobu stroked his chin on the side: ”Seems like our dad is fine, still vigorous as a dragon! Still can hit people, yup, test confirmed, our dad is fine!”

Hearing this while running away, Lu Hongbin and Lu Wenhao staggered.

They cursed at Lu Xiaobu, who was enjoying the show on the side.

Little rascal, just you wait!

Actually pranking your own brothers?!

This is your idea of testing?!

Having our dad beat us up?!

Your method is freaking brilliant, painfully brilliant!

”Daddy, see I’m already married, right! Lin Shu is here too, you see...”

Lu Hongbin quickly turned around to beg for mercy.

”Uh... indeed, cannot hit you now, go aside.”

Lu Father thought about it, and it made sense.

Hongbin was married now, hitting him wouldn’t be appropriate.

”Mmm mmm mmm! I knew my dad was the most enlightened!”

Lu Hongbin quickly nodded and flattered on the spot.

And then...

”Dad, actually it was all Wenhao who said you had dementia and were crazy, I can prove it!”

Lu Hongbin stated firmly.

Yes, Lu Xiaobu set up both of them.

He framed Lu Wenhao.

No problem!

”Come come come, big brother, Coke or beer?” Lu Xiaobu immediately buttered up.

”Beer.” Lu Hongbin said discontentedly, though he wouldn’t really treat this treasure harshly: ”You little rascal, framing your second brother is one thing, but framing me too?!”

”Forget it, cheers.” Lu Xiaobu quickly skipped over that detail.

”Mm, cheers!” Lu Hongbin nodded!

”Ah!? Huh?!”

Lu Wenhao’s face went green.

Oh heaven! Oh earth!

How did I end up with such prankster brothers?!

One sets up his older brother, the other sets up his younger brother?!

And you two are actually toasting on the side?!

What are you trying to do?!

Finally!

Lu Wenhao was cornered.

”Dad, dad, I was wrong, truly, look I’m already grown up, let’s not fight, please.”

Lu Wenhao pleaded pitifully.

What kind of situation was this!

He was already so old, it would be embarrassing if he were to be hit and word got out!

”Hahaha!”

Lu Father finally couldn’t hold back his laughter.

How could he truly punish them? They were all grown up, not kids anymore.

However, he was really fine and knew his sons were worried about him.

That’s why he went along with Lu Xiaobu’s words, just playing along.

But, the second son was still so naive.

Really thought he was going to hit him.

The farce ended, and the family started dining happily.

Only Lu Wenhao, who felt messed with, wore a face of dissatisfaction.

All of them are bad eggs, only he is the good egg, no, the only pure one!
