Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 257: Chapter 256: Initiated by Me, Must Be Controlled by Me [For Meng Xiaobin, 3 additional updates]

Upon hearing Lu Xiaobu’s words, Jing Peng’s face flushed red with anger: ”Pretending...”

But before he could utter the second word, he was slapped back by Gao Yun, who stared at him fiercely: ”Let me tell you, his name is Lu Xiaobu, and if he says you’re not qualified, then you’re absolutely not qualified!”

This was already the second slap from Gao Yun, yet Jing Li didn’t come out to stop it!

Because it was permitted by Lu Xiaobu!

Not only did Jing Li not stop it, but she was also very grateful to Lu Xiaobu; she couldn’t manage Jing Peng, but Lu Xiaobu could!

”Lu?! Lu Xiaobu!”

Jing Peng’s pupils dilated in an instant!

To those from the League of Heroes, maybe they hadn’t seen Lu Xiaobu, but it was impossible not to have heard of the name Lu Xiaobu!

The founding father who single-handedly created LoL, ushering in a whole new era of esports—Lu Xiaobu!

He is regarded as a saint in the hearts of all LoL players, without exception!

At that moment, the words Lu Xiaobu had just spoken resurfaced in his mind...

Lifetime account ban, lifetime competition ban!

Panic, chaos, fear, entirely engulfed his heart!

Just as Ni Lin said, the faint self-esteem in his heart was completely supported by LoL.

And now, it had been stripped away by Lu Xiaobu!

Thus...

His fragile heart couldn’t bear it and collapsed!

”Don’t, please, I’m begging you, don’t!”

In utter breakdown, Jing Peng spoke, suddenly his eyes lit up as if he had thought of something: ”Right, right, do you want to sleep with my sister? Go ahead, sleep with her! Just unban me!”

After his heart broke, he completely lost all his principles!

Hearing this, everyone on the scene, to a person, became furious!

To give away his own sister to someone else for the sake of a game account!

He’s nothing but a beast!

Those online were already crowding around, and at this point, they were all roaring in anger!

Relatives are everyone’s taboo, you can insult me but don’t insult my mother, this phrase seems humorous, but it’s the emotion a normal person should have!

And now this beast actually wants to hand over his own sister!

Unforgivable!

”Young Master Bu, you did the right thing! This kind of person doesn’t deserve to play LoL, the Valoran Continent doesn’t need such a summoner!”

”This kind of person should be beaten to death!”

”A beast, disloyal and unfilial creature!”

”...”

”Do you all want to beat him?”

Lu Xiaobu’s lips curled, speaking out.

He was also angered by this person!

”Exactly!”

The crowd nodded in agreement.

”So what are we waiting for? Beat him and drag him to death!”

Lu Xiaobu waved his hand grandly.

”Huh?”

The crowd was momentarily stunned, beat him and drag him to death?

Isn’t it drag him out to beat him to death?

Well, whatever, not much of a difference!

Thus!

The crowd of internet users stopped browsing, each surrounding Jing Peng...

”What are you trying to do?!”

Jing Peng panicked!

”Beat out, drag to death!”

The crowd shouted, and then pushed Jing Peng out with combined efforts!

Then two relatively strong guys each grabbed one of Jing Peng’s legs and started running on the road!

Truly beat out and drag to death!

Just like how it’s shown on TV, a horse dragging a person across the ground!

”Ah ah ah ah ah...”

Jing Peng’s back started to fiercely rub against the ground!

The burning sensation, the pain, people who haven’t experienced it can’t imagine!

Suddenly!

A small stone appeared ahead.

Just those inconspicuous little stones that you wouldn’t feel much even if you stepped on it.

But can the touch of a person’s back compare to a foot with shoes?

Thus...

Just as this small stone passed under Jing Peng’s back...

Rip—

His severely worn clothes were instantly torn!

A clearly visible red mark appeared on his back!

Blood was seeping out!

”Ah!”

Jing Peng screamed in agony, the continuous burning sensation making the pain even worse!

”Eh?”

The two internet users, seeing the situation, looked at each other and nodded.

Continued to gallop.

Then the path they chose was no longer a smooth road, but a somewhat pitted sidewalk!

So...

”Ah! Fuck you... Ah! Fuck... Ah!”

Jing Peng’s voice screamed rhythmically, echoing on this midnight road.

But the pain in the body can never compare to the pain in the heart!

Or perhaps, he should be thankful for the pain now, because it made him feel alive!

The most brutal critical hit given to him was always that sentence: lifetime disqualification.

It was the cruelest punishment to him who relied solely on the dream of so-called ’professional players’!

That sentence erased all his capital!

Jing Li watched by the side with tears falling from her sorrowful eyes, but she pursed her lips and said nothing – Jing Peng, I hope you can come to your senses this time!

”Li Jin, you stay here to handle any potential troubles that might come up.”

Lu Xiaobu yawned, feeling a bit tired.

These minions, a fatal hit is enough, let others play for the rest!

”Yes! Young Master!”

Li Jin nodded.

”And, Zhang Meng, cover everyone’s internet fees and give out some snacks and drinks. It’s late at night, and doing physical work isn’t easy,” Lu Xiaobu continued to arrange.

”Yes.”

Zhang Meng began to pay.

”Thank you, Young Master Bu!”

The netizens who didn’t go out suddenly cheered!

”I’m leaving.”

Lu Xiaobu waved his hand and left the internet cafe.

The next day, well past dawn, Lu Xiaobu got up from bed.

”Young Master, this is the professional recognition standard I’ve set, how does it look?”

Liang Lan came over with the standard.

”I don’t need to see it, you handle it! Just ensure it doesn’t kill everyone’s aspirations for the profession, yet still provides a clear understanding to stop them from using careers as an excuse to game!”

Lu Xiaobu nodded and spoke.

”Yes, Young Master, it’s all considered,” Liang Lan responded.

”Right, and also implement a game addiction prevention feature.”

Lu Xiaobu thought and continued to speak.

”Game addiction prevention?” Liang Lan was startled. ”What do you mean?”

There had been no precedent for an anti-addiction system in this world.

After all, it had been a Dark Age before, the Golden Age was initiated by Lu Xiaobu himself.

”Simply put, it’s to control the gaming time of minors, especially students,” Lu Xiaobu explained, then thought and added, ”Right, the certification for anti-addiction needs to be strict but also humane!”

”Firstly, don’t just use an ID card for verification as loopholes are too easy; video verification is basic, and people must be sent to verify special circumstances, such as if indeed they have dropped out, taken leave, or are participating in competitions and so on.”

”Secondly, the measures must be harsh, such as completely forbidding them to log into games during school hours, only after school can they login. It prevents them from skipping classes to game.”

”Thirdly, for these primary school students, after three hours, benefits halved, after five hours, benefits zero, and their ranking sequence reduced! Prevent them from sinking both themselves and others!”

”Fourth, which is the most important point as mentioned before, sending people to verify special cases, we can’t just use a one-size-fits-all approach!”

”That’s about all for now! We’ll perfect it later!”

Lu Xiaobu stroked his chin and said.

He also thought of this yesterday after seeing Jing Peng whose mentality had been completely warped.

Although he despises the demonization of gaming,

yet, including you all, must also admit, games indeed can be addictive!

And LOL is a PC game, not a mobile game; there’s no possibility to play during break times!

In other words, the only way to play LOL during class time, is by skipping school like Jing Peng!

If students all act like Jing Peng.

Then this responsibility, he has to take!

Thus, it must be managed, the anti-addiction must be launched!

Of course, Lu Xiaobu is not saying that schooling is the only way out, blah blah blah.

He is not a sanctimonious person.

So although his methods are very harsh,

he specifically emphasized the fourth point—sending people to review special cases!

Try to make the anti-addiction humane!

This is something that the anti-addiction system on Earth didn’t achieve.

Although it would be costly.

But, does Lu Xiaobu care?

You tell me, does he care?!

”Young Master, this...”

Liang Lan hesitated.

After all, a large part of the gamers are these minors.

So you can imagine, once this ban is implemented, what kind of backlash Young Master Bu would face!

And LOL’s revenue would definitely be hugely impacted!

”No need to say more, go ahead!”

Lu Xiaobu waved his hand.

The Golden Age was initiated by him and must be controlled by him!

He seeks an era of e-sports prosperity, not chaos!

This is like an Emperor, regardless of whether the Emperor is good or bad, after conquering the world, they seek to build a peaceful and prosperous era instead of continuing the chaos!

Because that’s what a true Emperor does!

He, is the Emperor of the e-sports Golden Age, having conquered the world, now seeks to establish a peaceful era!
