Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 734: Chapter 571 Crazy Battle Plan_2

Looking solely at their appearance, Xie Yuan and Tang Feihu’s hair has turned grey, already showing signs of old age. Zhang Chengzhi, Niu Zhuang, and Qin He also have frost at their temples.

Yang Zhenshan appears younger than them.

After some light-hearted banter, Yang Zhenshan’s expression turned solemn, and he said, ”Now let’s discuss the campaign plan.”

The atmosphere in the room suddenly became serious, everyone’s gaze fixed on Yang Zhenshan.

Yang Zhenshan stood up, fetched the map that was prepared beforehand, and hung it on the screen. Holding a slim rod, he pointed to the map and said, ”The first battle: annihilate the Wula Tribe!”

”Tomorrow morning, the left and right battalions of the garrison will serve as vanguards, heading north all the way, bypassing the north of Sari Lake, directly striking at the Wula Tribe!”

”I have only one demand, and that is speed! Attack the Wula Clan’s flag territory directly before they can react!”

”Each man with two horses, pressing forward day and night, and in two days’ time, launch the assault on the Wula Clan’s flag territory!”

Yang Zhenshan looked towards Yang Chengze and Yang Chengxu.

Both of the garrison’s left and right battalions are Cavalry, best suited for a surprise attack, and the Wula Clan’s flag territory does not have fortified cities, making it completely suitable for Cavalry to directly attack.

As to whether the Wula Clan will be prepared, they definitely will be, but Yang Zhenshan estimates that they will focus their defenses to the south of the flag territory, because the route from Dinghu Guard to the Wula Clan’s flag territory is nearest from the south of Sari Lake, and also the most accessible.

Even if the Wula Clan has defenses in the north of the flag territory, it wouldn’t be a concern as long as it’s not a fortified city; it wouldn’t be able to halt the garrison’s left and right battalions.

If the garrison’s left and right battalions cannot take down the Wula Clan’s flag territory, then Yang Zhenshan feels there’s no need to fight this battle at all, better to honestly guard Chongshan Town and avoid losing troops needlessly.

”The order is received!” Yang Mingzhen and Yang Chengze promptly stepped forward to accept the command.

Yang Zhenshan nodded slightly and continued: ”The Dinghu Guard Rescue Camp will be stationed at Dinghu Guard, guarding against attacks from the Wuliang Hu Clan Cavalry on our supply routes.”

”The Daning Guard Rescue Camp will assist Dinghu Guard in protecting the supply routes, while also guarding against the possible Wuliang main forces invading from the West. Although the Wuliang main forces are now engaged in intense battles with Beiyuan Town, the Wuliang Hu Clan might still dispatch a force to strike at the West Road of Chongshan Town!”

Chongshan Town’s West Road is mountainous and forested, many areas are strategic points that are easy to defend and hard to attack, which naturally hampers the western Wuliang Hu Clan’s major offensives, but it does not guarantee that the Wuliang Hu Clan won’t come over.

Chongshan Town is connected to Beiyuan Town, but the bordering areas are not extensive because Chongshan Town is further north, with Beiyuan Town actually to the southwest of Chongshan Town.

The two border towns are only linked at a small stretch in Liaoxi, which is also about thirty miles in length.

Currently, the Wuliang Hu Clan’s main offensive is focused on the central and western portions of Beiyuan Town, with fewer northern barbarian invasions in the east, possibly as a precaution against Chongshan Town’s advance towards the West.

Regardless of what the Wuliang Hu Clan is thinking, Yang Zhenshan will not provide support to Beiyuan Town; his plan is to encircle Wei to save Zhao.

That is to attack their critical rescue points, forcing the Wuliang main forces to withdraw troops from Beiyuan Town for reinforcements.

”This~~” Luo Feiyu hesitated somewhat, and Xie Yuan was also slightly hesitant before he said: ”The order is received!”

Both were somewhat reluctant, and the reason was simple: staying at the rear to guard the supply route meant they could not charge into battle or siege cities at the frontline.

Xie Yuan was of advanced age and no longer harbored ambitions of accruing merit and distinction, but Luo Feiyu was still young and eager to earn more achievements.

Yang Zhenshan glanced at them, unconcerned about their thoughts, and continued: ”The remainder, the Six Relief Camps, will lead the civilians to set up camp outside Menghe Mountain Pass!”

”Right here!”

He pointed with the slim rod to an open area outside Menghe Mountain Pass.

”Not only do you have to set up camp here, but you also need to feign the appearance of a hundred-thousand-strong army, sending out light Cavalry units, sealing off all areas within a thirty-mile radius to prevent local scouting!”

”There’s no need for you to assault the Menghe Mountain Pass; however, you must have the civilians construct siege equipment.”

”To put it plainly, you need to create the illusion that our main forces are encamped right here!”

Yang Zhenshan’s gaze swept over Yang Mingzhi and others.

A direct assault on Menghe Mountain Pass?

Don’t joke; Yang Zhenshan’s brain isn’t ill, he certainly wouldn’t chew on the tough nut that is Menghe Mountain Pass.

His plan is to abandon Menghe Mountain Pass, regardless of the Chi Ci Tribe.

Does the Chi Ci Tribe want to defend Menghe Mountain?

Let them defend then.

We will open another battlefield!

”This~~” The crowd exchanged puzzled glances.

Yang Zhenshan said in a deep voice: ”The Six Assistant Generals, with General Tang Tang Feihu as the primary and Niu Zhuang as the Deputy General, you must follow the orders of both primary and deputy generals, understood?”

Saying so, he fixed his gaze on Yang Mingzhi, who felt his heart skip a beat, and knew that Yang Zhenshan was warning him.

As Yang Zhenshan’s son and the second-generation leader of the Yang family, Yang Mingzhi was proud!

His pride bore a hint of arrogance, leading him to look down on others.

In all of Chongshan Town, apart from Pang Tang and Zhou Lan, he considered himself the third most important person.

That’s what he thought and that’s how he acted.

However, in Yang Zhenshan’s eyes, this stepson had become somewhat arrogant, nearly forgetting his place.

Yang Mingzhi’s previous disobedience, taking off to Chongshan Pass on his own, had already displeased him.

Now that the Assistant Generals were gathered, Yang Mingzhi maintained an air of superiority, especially in the presence of the other Assistant Generals, always placing himself above them.

Regarding this, Yang Zhenshan had only one thought: to find an opportunity to harshly discipline this obstinate stepson.
