Journey of the Fate Destroying Emperor

Chapter 1944: Harmony: The Quasi-Saintʼs Key

Wu Hong knew time was of the essence, so she set up a Time Acceleration around her. After so many years, she had mastered her Saint Dao Heart, which let her accelerate time twelvefold. Then, without wasting a moment, she dived into the other tablets.

Most were cultivation methods or techniques from the Holy Land, and honestly, she was a bit disappointed. Besides Emperor Suiʼs technique, which contained a way to artificially condense the [Adaptation Heart], the other methods or techniques were nothing unique. The only thing she learned from them was some unique application of Qi.

The second decent thing she discovered was the method of condensing her [Perfect Soul]. Over the years, the Holy Land has created safer ways to cultivate the soul—methods with a higher chance of success. Because of these methods, the Holy Land has cultivated countless Peak Primals, allowing them to survive against the others despite not having a single Quasi-Saint.

The third good thing Wu Hong learned was how to refine the Genetic Artifact. After reading them, she was inspired and started plotting a way to evolve the Proving Dao Artifact into a Saint Artifact Prototype. However, for now, all of these were nothing but ideas.

While there were some decent things, the tablets also brought disappointment, primarily regarding body-refining techniques. The Holy Land had only two body-refining techniques: one used Qi to temper the body, and the other used the power laws. Based on the state of these techniques, itʼs obvious they havenʼt been updated or improved in a while, which shows how unpopular body refinement was in this timeline.

”Finally, itʼs your turn,” Wu Hong thought as she glanced at the last tablet. Her Qi Luck Dragon was heavily agitated, a sign of the opportunity she was waiting for. Without wasting another moment, Wu Hong sat in front of the table and comprehended.

To her surprise, it was just a recorded application of how to utilize energy. Wu Hong was disappointed for a moment before she realized her intuition and luck would not lie. So, she focused on learning, trying to determine where her opportunity originated from.

And she was glad she did. As talented as she was, Wu Hong thought she had reached the limit of manipulating Qi; there might be some unique application that she hadnʼt learned, but overall, she had reached the pinnacle. But she couldnʼt be more wrong. In fact, she was so far from the pinnacle that it was embarrassing.

Without realizing it, she lost herself. Step-by-step, second-by-second, the essence of [Qi] was revealed to her, and she absorbed everything even faster than a sponge soaking in water. The feeling was fascinating, and a bit addictive.

Boom!

Wu Hongʼs Dao Sea manifested behind her, but that was just the precursor. A sudden power awakened from the depths of the sea, forcing Wu Hong to open her eyes. The world was so bright: she could sense all the energy, aura, power, and even laws of the world at a clarity she had never experienced before. Whatʼs more, her body seemed to be naturally resonating with these powers; she seemed to be in perfect harmony with everything.

”[Qi Saint Will Prototype: Harmony With All Phenomena].” These words appeared in Wu Hongʼs mind. ”Qi Saint Will? Does that mean there are others? And whatʼs the purpose of the harmony?” The avatar swiftly checked her body, and she understood.

With this power, her talent had improved. The world seemed to love her, making it easier not only to control but also to understand all the power that exists. Wu Hong raised her hand to use a Yin-Yang technique, and the process was so easy. Manipulating opposite powers has always required high skill, but now, everything was drastically simplified.

”The Force Control Skill seems also to have improved,” she thought. ”More importantly, the burden of 3800 Seals has lessened.” Wu Hong had no choice but to leave her Dao Quintessence Prototype sealed because of the burden it placed on her soul, body, and even [Existence]. But now, even as an avatar, she can feel the pressure lessened, so itʼs not hard to imagine what the main body was feeling.

”Hmm? Right in time.” The avatar connected to the main body.

”What happened?”

”I just had a significant breakthrough. Letʼs synchronize our memories.”

”Alright.”

Using the thin, heavily protected causal line between them, the two exchanged memories and experiences.

”So, thatʼs how it is,” the main body said. ”Thatʼs what I was missing to deal with the repulsive force. Iʼm going into seclusion.”

”Wait,” the avatar said. ”There is still more to learn about the Saint Will Prototype. Can you send someone to take over my sermon?”

”Iʼll see what I can do.”

Source Qi Space:

After closing the communication, Wu Hongʼs main body summoned someone from the holy land to bring her some rare resources. Once they were available, she used the fragile connection she still has with her avatars to kill one of them. For this expedition, she only brought one, but it wasnʼt enough. Using the resources, she rapidly recondensed the Avatar before sending it to oversee the array repair, while she entered a retreat.

”This time, everything should proceed smoothly,” Wu Hong thought. And she was correct. After setting everything up, she used her Saint Will Prototype to harmonize the repulsive force between the Dao Sea, the Law Chains, and the Grandmist World.

Then, as she had calculated, the Dao Sea gave birth to a string of Grand Dao Qi; to be precise, it was a weaker version — a prototype even. Regardless, it was still Grand Dao Qi. Wu Hong continued the process until the Dao Sea finished its evolution. What happened next was somewhat unexpected, but also logical. The Grand Dao Qi began to nourish the Soul and the Dao Body.

Inspired, Wu Hong immediately began controlling the nourishment of the Dao Body; she followed Emperor Suiʼs method and optimized it, ensuring it would be easier later when she tried to condense her Flesh Quintessence.

”Something tells me I could have done the same for my soul,” Wu Hong analyzed. ”No, not just my soul, but to my [Awakening]; as the physical manifestation of my Dao, I could use the Grand Dao Qi to prepare it to evolve into a Dao Quintessence.”

Wu Hongʼs [Awakening] might have already evolved because of the 3800 Seals, but that was not the case for other cultivators. And since the Quasi-Saint Realm is supposed to be a preparation stage for sanctification, it makes sense for every aspect to evolve or turn into a prototype.

”I donʼt have much to optimize my soul, but I can create a method of optimizing the [Awakening],” Wu Hong thought, wishing to execute this idea immediately. However, just as she was about to, she sensed something: deep inside her body, in her [Existence], twelve illusory pillars suddenly appeared.

”Are those the Saint Foundation Pillars?” Wu Hong thought. ”No, they shouldnʼt be the real ones; they have manifested now probably because Iʼve entered the Quasi-Saint Realm. But is this a sign of how much I will condense, or did they just appear because they are the signs of the Saint Realm?”

After thinking about it for a moment, she concluded it was the latter. No one knows how many pillars a cultivator will condense. Itʼs possible to guess based on their achievements, but until the very end, there is no way to know for sure. And thatʼs not even mentioning the elusive 13th pillar, whose conditions are even more obscure.

”Thatʼs good and all, but why do I feel like I can use these pillars for battles?” Wu Hong thought. On a whim, she activated the pillars; her powers surged. ”My strength has tripled. However, this doesnʼt seem to be the limit.”

Wu Hong could tell this increase was a raw improvement, meaning that once she better understood these illusory pillars, she might be able to create techniques to enhance the boost they provided. ”Hmm? My stamina is draining at an alarming rate.”

It seems the problem of stamina has once again returned to plague the Quasi-Saint Realm. Wu Hong tried to use her Dao Sea to alleviate the issue. However, her Dao Sea instantly dried up in less than five minutes. ”I should focus on filling the Dao Sea first.”

Those words sound simple, but they were not. While her Dao Sea can naturally give birth to Grand Dao Qi, the process is slow, so she needed a way to speed it up. There is an easy answer: use an outside source to replenish, and as luck would have it, there is something of similar nature and higher quality — the Grand Dao Source. However, when Wu Hong tried, she realized the process was only slightly better than natural replenishing.

”Wait, something is wrong. It shouldnʼt be this slow,” Wu Hong thought. Normally, Grand Dao is very cheap when it comes to Grand Dao Qi. The only time cultivators are allowed unlimited access is when they transform into a higher state of existence after a realm breakthrough.

Other times, cultivators use Grand Dao Qi to speed up revival or healing, but it has never been this slow.

”Maybe I need a specific technique designed only for the Dao Sea,” Wu Hong thought, deciding to try this first.
