Journey of the Fate Destroying Emperor

Chapter 1925: Tier 2 Micro System

”How was it?” Wu Hong asked after seeing the avatar spit blood and her body collapsing into tiny particles for a few seconds before reuniting.

”First of all, your pill is shit. It did almost nothing to protect me.”

”Oh. Well, you canʼt blame me; weʼre running mostly on theories here,” Wu Hong shrugged.

”Yes, be nonchalant since youʼre not the one whoʼs suffering.”

”Alright, alright,” Wu Hong waved her hand. ”Whatʼs the second thing?”

”Youʼre quite stupid.”

”Harsh.”

”See for yourself,” the avatar said before transmitting her memories. Wu Hong was instantly embarrassed — at least, for a few seconds. The evolution of the Dao Sea into a Genesis Qi Realm failed because it contradicted the micro system Wu Hong had created. Her plan treated the Dao Sea as an independent entity, forcing it to evolve. The result was that the evolution immediately affected the entire system, almost destroying it. The avatar called her stupid because it was obvious that would happen; in fact, the best approach to this problem is to evolve the previous micro-system.

”Youʼre me, so why didnʼt you say anything?” Wu Hong snapped.

”Youʼre the main body — I do what you ask,” the avatar replied, feeling aggrieved.

”You could have still reminded me.”

”Honestly, I thought you were just gathering data. It wasnʼt until you only handed me one plan that I realized how stupid you are.”

”Who are you calling stupid?” Wu Hong said with a warning tone. ”As you said, I was simply gathering data for my true plan.”

The avatar rolled her eyes. ”If you say so.”

”As I said, I was just gathering data. So, do it again.”

”What? Youʼre not really going to make me do it again, are you?”

”What do you think?”

”You canʼt be this petty.”

”Youʼre me. Donʼt you already know the answer?” Wu Hong sneered.

The avatarʼs mouth remained agape for a few seconds. She then sighed deeply before healing and trying again. To be fair, Wu Hong did have another objective besides her pettiness. At some point, sheʼd need to try the method herself, and the avatarʼs repeated failures were the best way to gather data to create a better pill formula to deal with the backlash.

So, after three more attempts, Wu Hong created a new formula and a new array to deal with the issue. Then, she used all the previously gathered data to create a new plan.

”Wait, isnʼt this the same as before?” The avatar asked, her expression ugly to look at.

”Now, who is the stupid one?” Wu Hong said. ”Look closer.”

The avatar frowned. ”Oh. I see. You want to force the Dao Sea evolution and, after it has evolved, retroactively and independently rebuild the micro-system.”

”Youʼve proven you have basic comprehension. Can we continue?”

”But isnʼt this approach a bit risky? We could try the safe approach of slowly modifying and building our current system?”

”How long do you think that will take?”

”With our current knowledge foundation, too long,” the avatar sighed.

”So?”

”So, the best approach is to learn from the constant failure of the retroactive building,” the avatar sighed. ”But Iʼm the one who will suffer.”

Wu Hong walked next to her and patted her shoulder. ”For our glorious future, some sacrifices must be made.”

The avatar wanted to roll her eyes. As the person who will not be in pain, itʼs easy to talk about sacrifices. Regardless, she didnʼt dare complain anymore, or she might suffer even more. After swallowing the Backlash Preventing Pill and activating the array, the avatar immediately began her cultivation.

The Dao Sea manifested behind her, along with 3800 pillars — modeled after Qi Paragonsʼ Origin Pillar. However, unlike Qi Paragons, these pillars were made from runes connected or resonating with the 3800 Primary Grand Dao Source. The pillars immediately began to modify the Dao Sea, evolving it into a higher state.

Bang!

The pillars crashed. The Dao Sea trembled. And the avatar vomited a mouthful of blood. The transformation had failed. However, Wu Hong – instead of being sad — had a smile on the corner of her mouth. Throughout the process, he observed the avatarʼs [Existence] and saw changes to his previous system.

”Iʼll record the data, and you heal. You can also upgrade the backlash array.”

The avatar nodded, not complaining this time. The pill and array did wonder, and she only sustained middle to minor injuries. And after a few fine-tunings, she could completely block the backlash, which would dramatically accelerate their work.

The next few attempts were groundbreaking. The avatar succeeded in almost eliminating her pain, and Wu Hong had enough data to form a new foundation. According to her plan, Emperors must build a Tier 1 micro-system to complete the Emperor Path. At the Primal level, the Tier 1 System must be perfected or optimized, just like how the soul must be optimized to become a Primal in the first place.

However, at the Quasi-Saint level, a Tier 2 Micro-System must be built; this system is the foundation of Sanctification. If done correctly, it will immensely reduce the trouble of building a Macro System, which is the requirement to become a Grand Dao Saint.

”Letʼs test out Plan B,” Wu Hong stated, and the avatar executed. Plan B was only slightly different from A. Instead of using runes from the 3800 Grand Dao Sources on the pillars, the avatar used specific runes tailored to Wu Hongʼs Dao. The Qi Paragon Path shares many similarities with Greater Chaos cultivators, but Emperor Path cultivators are specialized individuals: each has a unique law or Dao.

Wu Hong knew that if her destiny is to spread this newly created Quasi-Saint System, it has to be universally applicable. If the threshold is people who cultivate Greater Chaos Dao or geniuses who use one Dao to apply all Daos, then the Quasi-Realm will lose its universality.

Years passed, and Wu Hong ignored the outside world and the passage of time. She devoted herself to her work, focusing on improving her strength. And the results were remarkable. This civilization had spent so many years trying to do what she did, and her progress in a few Yuan Epochs surpassed the Myriad Vitality All Heavenʼs generations of attempts.

”All this effort to return to the original starting point.”

”Indeed,” Wu Hong nodded. Their work was 80% done, and after reaching so far, they realized they were missing a large piece of the puzzle: Transcendent Foundation. To complete the Tier 2 Micro System, Wu Hong needed all three Transcendent Foundations.

”Whatʼs next?”

”Letʼs just do what we came here for,” Wu Hong replied. Without wasting any time, she walked out of the cultivation room, preparing to exit the inheritance hall and the Source Qi Space entirely. However, now that she was not in focus mode, Wu Hong finally stopped blocking her communication channels.

”Why is the commander so desperate? Did something urgent happen to him?” Wu Hong frowned. About 31 Yuan Epochs had passed, and Long Aojing had sent her over a dozen emergency requests. ”Forget it. Iʼll check it out after Iʼm done with my work.” Wu Hong was still interested in the Destiny Hope Array, as she felt it might come in handy.

Wu Hong returned to the Borderworld, but she immediately noticed a subtle change in the atmosphere. Everyone seemed on edge, and after looking at the military bases closest to the Red Cloud, she could tell more than 30% had been destroyed since the last time she visited.

”In such a short while, theyʼve lost close to a third of their bases? What happened?”

Wu Hongʼs original plan was to focus on her objective first. But if some new changes had occurred inside the Red Cloud, it might stop her plan to condense the Omega Rune. Turning her head, she checked on the Destiny Hope Array.

”Hmm? Something is wrong. Why are there even more flaws?” Logically speaking, after she handed the inheritance to Long Aojing, the array should have improved. ”Not only are there more flaws, but a significant portion of it also seems to have stopped working. What the hell did these idiots do?”

Wu Hong immediately changed course to the Sky Ocean World; she needed to understand what had happened and whether it would affect her plan. As she flew to her destination, Wu Hong finally realized the severity of the situation. Upon her arrival, this world had 12,987 worlds remaining. In this short period of over 50 yuan epoch, only 9,654 were left.

”I can no longer remain calm and nonchalant,” Wu Hong thought. Time was running out, and if this timeline were to be destroyed, she wouldnʼt survive — at least, not in her current state. So, one of her priorities should also be to prepare for this possibility—no, inevitability.

Wu Hongʼs mind operated rapidly as she pondered her next step. Before, she had some ideas on how to escape this world, but they never went beyond the initial conception. Now, she had to take them seriously and plan for the worst possible outcome.
