”Acheron does not belong to the End, nor to Destruction or the Hunt.”

”We were all wrong...”

”When the memories represented by the Memokeeper were torn apart in Acheron’s deep sea, we should have realized it.”

”The only one capable of this...”

”is...”

”The Void or Nihility.”

---------------------------

A few days ago, during the collective discussion about the plot, the speculation about the Path of Nihility remained on the clues given in the episodes.

Almost no one guessed that Acheron belonged to Nihility.

Because Nihility is just too mysterious.

After so much plot bombardment, today’s fans are no longer like when they first watched the Herta Space Station, feeling unfamiliar with every Path and Aeon that appeared.

Basically, everyone has reached a consensus.

All concepts and Paths can be categorized as either Existence or Nihility.

Except for a few enigmatic and relatively mysterious Paths, almost all Paths can be included under the broad category of Existence.

On the other hand, for Nihility, which conceptually is a category equivalent to Existence, there is only the Aeon IX.

After the fall of Permanence, many Paths related to it were born.

The Swarm Disaster also revealed that Paths can be torn apart and devoured.

Thus, many Paths ultimately converge to one destination—convergence.

And the many Paths torn from Permanence are already so terrifyingly abstract.

As for Nihility, which consistently and equally looms over everyone, and mirrors ”Existence” itself—what kind of horror must that be?

The audience still doesn’t have an answer, but after Eternal Waltz appeared, through Acheron, the Emanator of Nihility, a glimpse can be seen.

Even just these vague fragments have already left countless people with a deep impression of the materialization of the power of Nihility.

...

: Who could have thought that Acheron was actually an Emanator of Nihility!

: This is the first time a walker of the Path of Nihility has appeared in the series, and as soon as they appeared, it was overwhelmingly impactful!

: No wonder the final scene left me feeling terrified— this is already a conceptually fearsome Path that can instill fear into all existence.

: Now everything makes sense—Acheron’s lost way, her forgetfulness, all can be linked to Nihility.

: In the PV, the depths of Acheron’s memories, the black, white, and red color scheme seemed to be hinting like crazy!

: Comparing life to colors, then gradually fading under the influence of Nihility?

: Damn... this is incredible, what a masterful loop.

: But on the other hand, it’s really a big deal. Why would an Emanator of Nihility come to Penacony?Damn, I don’t dare imagine what will happen next.

: After learning about Acheron’s Path, I got a particularly unique sense of déjà vu.

: Speaking of which, now that we know Acheron is an Emanator of Nihility, I’m even more curious. She hasn’t shown her true means so far.

: Damn, you up there—don’t tell me you’re thinking about having Penacony destroyed! This is way more serious than Phantylia or whatever.

: Shouldn’t be, right?

...

The comments kept flowing.

Even by the end, many people were still not satisfied.

The PV for Eternal Waltz— whether it was the visual presentation, the artistic style, or the dimensional transformations of Acheron and Black Swan— was a top-tier visual experience.

Art film, suspense film, murder scene.

To mix so many elements together, and to abstractly express shocking information related to Nihility in this way— it’s remarkable!

For a while, discussion threads about it were everywhere.

As a character, Acheron even achieved the feat of dominating the trending charts alone.

...

The first episode of Penacony’s plot, although the complexity of the setting was heavy, this murder mystery is one where people really die.

And it might even cause many deaths!

Acheron, as the first revealed card, with terrifying combat power and her associated Path, is like a completely neutral killer card suddenly emerging in the murder mystery.

No one can predict what this card will do.

The display of the Path of Nihility’s power and combat style, along with its uniqueness compared to other Paths— all one can say is: no wonder it’s Acheron.

In the game, she’s like a Wild Card, and in the plot, she stirs up even more heated discussions with her identity.

The revelation of her identity hasn’t reduced fans’ anticipation; instead, it has sparked more curiosity and questions.

In the Tavern of Tales under the ”leadership” of Gallagher, two questions raised by Eternal Waltz garnered much attention.

The Path of Nihility doesn’t seem to have a ”source of motivation” like other Paths, and the relationship between Emanators and Aeons is clearly described in the official materials.

So where does Acheron’s power as an Emanator come from? It’s not possible that it came from IX, is it?

This is the part that confuses fans the most.

The second is the whereabouts of the Galaxy Ranger.

Since Acheron’s identity is fake, and the ticket was snatched, then what about the Galaxy Ranger belonging to the Hunt?

With the nature of the Hunt’s destiny, this matter likely won’t end so easily.

And that’s it.

Fans were stunned to discover, even though they received an explosive piece of news, it seems like several more mysteries have been unearthed.

...

: This is too frustrating! Knowing the truth about Acheron, I thought it would be easier to predict the plot, but now it’s even more confusing.

: Acheron’s identity is so unique. No wonder they dared to release that ”Eternal Waltz” PV.

: Like a wildcard—though it’s revealed, it adds to the confusion in interpreting the plot.

: Exactly! Now, when we speculate about the plot, we must include Acheron, which adds a third-party force out of nowhere.

: Acheron’s purpose is also a mystery. Her state and memories are all in a state of oblivion, yet she purposefully came to Penacony. What’s the reason behind it?

: The only thing certain now is that Black Swan and Aventurine have formed an alliance. From the start, both were very wary of Acheron, meaning her identity has been well-prepared.

: But as for the Astral Express, so far, apart from Stelle, no one has had close contact with Acheron...

: At least, now that the characters and forces are clear, Episode 2 should uncover a lot of truths. There’s no way they’ll keep dragging this out!

: True, none of the characters introduced so far are easy to deal with. If anyone wants to make a move, and do so without leaving any trace, it’s probably only possible if Acheron takes action herself.

: Things are getting even more convoluted. There’s no new information about the Watchmaker, and Sparkles’ purpose is still a mystery. Who knows when something major will suddenly happen?

: Ahhhh, Episode 2, hurry up! I can’t take it anymore!

...

On the forums.

The discussion about the plot went on till late night.

The next day.

At the MiHoYo company.

Xia Wen was resting on set, watching Furina film the ”Penacony End Scene.”

The so-called end scene.

It’s actually the Internet’s past infamous source of evil— similar to the ending sequence of Kekkai Sensen.

Because Silver Wolf had mentioned many times how much fans wanted to see behind-the-scenes footage of the series.

Most of the company staff are quite introverted and rarely appear in the spotlight.

Xia Wen could understand the fans’ eager desire to see everyone, but he couldn’t force the team to go public.

It wasn’t necessary either.

Behind-the-scenes content, at most, reflects the true appearance of an actor.

Seeing these would make fans feel very close, as if it brought them closer together.

However, Honkai Star Rail is special. Everyone acts under their real names, so how they appear in the series is how they appear in reality.

To meet fan expectations, it was finally decided to film a scene similar to behind-the-scenes footage, in the style of Kekkai Sensen.

Everyone could let loose, and it should satisfy the fans’ expectations.

”Hahaha, let’s do it one more time, everyone!”

”Don’t be so stiff!”

”The more relaxed, the better!”

On set, Furina covered her mouth, laughing quietly while secretly watching the shoot.

Across the set, everyone was holding hands, performing tap-dancing moves together.

For the more serious characters like Himeko or Black Swan, they only raised their legs slightly with a faint smile.

For the livelier ones, like Argenti or Boothill, their movements were noticeably more casual.

Of course, their costumes were changed to casual outfits, with the ladies wearing either skirts or pants.

Each person’s identity and traits were also highlighted.

In short, the overall vibe was like enjoying a joyful party.

Such a scene seemed familiar and heartwarming to the audience.

The chaotic and uncoordinated movements perfectly emphasized each person’s unique personality.

Take Argenti and Boothill, for example.

The two stood close. Argenti displayed knightly elegance and charm in his moves.

Meanwhile, Boothill raised his legs high, insisting on lifting them higher than Argenti’s.

”Cut!”

”Perfect!”

Furina shouted loudly.

After the shoot, everyone gathered around to watch their performance on camera with Furina.

For them, this was the first time they had showcased themselves like this on camera.

No script was needed; they simply let their natural selves shine.

”Is this really okay?”

”Everyone looks like a bunch of amateurs...” March 7th scratched her head and said.

”It’s meant to show everyone’s true selves.”

”After all, behind-the-scenes footage is to make up for some regrets in the series.”

”As long as fans see everyone having so much fun, they’ll be satisfied.”

Furina struck a pose, coughed cutely, and said, ”Ahem, what, are you questioning Director Furina’s choices?”

”How would I dare? Furina is the best.” March 7th immediately hugged Furina and started snuggling.

After some playful banter, Furina picked up the storyboard script, suppressing a laugh.

”Here is where Gallagher and Misha do a high-five.”

”This part needs to be passionate, with a bit of unrestrained dancing. Hmm, let’s have Aventurine do it.”

”As for this memory...”

”Pfft...”

Furina had been seriously reading it, but after flipping a few pages, she burst into laughter, her cheerful expression lighting up the entire place.

It was a picture of the Duke.

”This is just... too hilarious.” Furina bit her lips tightly, holding back her laughter.

This was supposed to be a three-second classic flashback scene from Penacony.

But Xia Wen turned the three seconds into a black-and-white photo montage, filled with the Duke’s jubilant laughter.

Well, it made sense. How could a Penacony finale scene not include the Inferno Duke?

”Hahaha, the boss definitely did this on purpose!”

”The fans will probably laugh till they cry when they see this.”

March 7th glanced at it and couldn’t help but laugh as well.

The two of them laughing caught everyone else’s attention.

And so, the joyful memorial photo of the Inferno Duke filled the entire set with laughter.

On the other side, Xia Wen, who was taking a break, was scrolling through fans’ reactions online on his phone.

Thanks to Acheron, all eyes had shifted to this Emanator of Nihility.

There was also some natural conflict and tension.

For example, the IPC destined to clash with The Family.

The connection between Nameless Guests and the truth about Penacony.

These were all points the audience was eagerly anticipating in the second episode.

And Gallagher had been completely concealed for now.

At least, currently, there were no negative reviews or divisive remarks.

Instead, every time fans engaged in cosplay or discussed the plot, they would always post a photo of Gallagher as a conversation starter.

”A world without traitors is truly wonderful.”

”All the foreshadowing and red herrings worked perfectly, guiding the audience’s focus elsewhere.” Xia Wen let out a satisfied sigh.

With this, he could confidently move on to the next phase of content release.

He picked up his phone and sent a message to Silver Wolf.

The animated short film ”Beautiful Dreams and Memories” and its accompanying web game could now be released for fans to experience.

Hanunue or Brother Hanu, and the Watchmaker.

And the long, bloody, and brutal struggle of Penacony.

These would quietly appear before fans in the style of a children’s book.

How much useful information one could glean from it would depend on individual ability.

But that didn’t matter.

Besides the animated version of ”Beautiful Dreams and Memories,” Xia Wen still had a longer live-action version in his hands.

After Mikhail passed the Trailblaze will to Stelle, this will would also be delivered more directly to millions of Honkai: Star Rail fans.
