All the leads pointed to the dreamscape hotel.

Logically, it was time to reveal the cards.

The story development was heading exactly where they wanted.

On the screen, the Express crew entered their respective dreams.

Stelle reunited with Black Swan, and under the guidance of this memokeeper, they ventured deeper into the dreamworld...

-----------------

In a hotel that defied the laws of gravity, Stelle and Black Swan encountered an uninvited guest.

Even with no one guiding her guided her, Acheron still appeared in this sealed hotel.

Before her was a group of upside-down monsters from the Nightmarish Theater.

”Huh? It’s her? How is this possible?”

Seeing Acheron’s back, Black Swan, who had always maintained an elegant demeanor in front of the audience, showed an unexpectedly reactive tone for the first time.

But since they had already seen her, there was no reason not to approach.

”Why are you here?” Acheron turned around, still with that indifferent look.

”Eh, you know each other?” Stelle finally reacted, her gaze shifting between Black Swan and Acheron.

”Mm, she’s the Memokeeper I mentioned to you.”

”My very first dance was with her.”

Acheron nodded slightly.

Black Swan’s expression became a bit unnatural. She changed the subject, saying, ”Ladies, let’s cut the pleasantries here. Acheron, how did you appear in this place?”

Acheron replied calmly, ”Rumors have been circulating in Penacony regarding the Watchmaker, an inheritance, and nightmares. I was curious about who was spreading the news.”

”So I tried a method out of curiosity, and unexpectedly, it worked.”

”What about you?”

Hearing this, Black Swan smiled faintly and asked, ”You... haven’t been hiding anything, have you?”

”Hiding? In front of a Memokeeper, I wouldn’t be capable of that.”

As her words fell, the audience became even more curious.

How bizarre.

...

: Since the hotel was sealed, either one could modify it with Ether, like Silver Wolf,

or only Memokeepers could freely come and go.

: Acheron is a Galaxy Ranger and has never been associated with memory matter manipulation.

: Could it be some legendary memory-restoration technique?

: Moreover, Memokeepers can freely enter dreams, read others’ memories, or even alter them.

: If Black Swan wanted to know if anything was hidden, wouldn’t directly reading Acheron’s mind suffice?

: Why even bother asking?

: These two even danced together before. Now I’m really curious what the situation was back then.

: I can only say, Acheron and Black Swan—one is more peculiar and mysterious than the other.

: Between these two, can anything they say really be trusted?

: Stelle, stuck between two older sisters, looked just like a little lamb.

: Ah, how nice Firefly is! My dear Firefly, please come find Stelle soon. Only you are truly sincere to her...

...

The two continued speaking in riddles, but their reactions and glances during the interaction gave the audience an uncanny sense of intrigue.

However, lacking more information, the audience could only conjure up wild imaginations.

”Since we’ve met, I have a proposal,” Black Swan said.

”This dreamscape is full of dangers. Since our goals align, why not travel together?”

”I can protect you from harm, and within memory domains, I’ll need the help of a Memokeeper.

If we encounter family members, we’ll figure out how to handle them then.”

To this proposal, Black Swan surprisingly did not agree immediately but instead sought Stelle’s opinion.

Once Stelle nodded, the three officially began traveling together.

A Galaxy Ranger, a Memokeeper, and a Nameless Guest—

This trio’s combination left no obstacle capable of halting them in this space.

Their exploration proceeded more smoothly than ever before.

When encountering an impassable door, Black Swan would use her Memokeeper abilities to guide the group through as though cheating.

As they drew closer to the depths, Black Swan, who had left markers for Stelle’s companions, noticed something ahead.

”I see it. At the center of this dreamscape, there are family members... And a few other figures. It seems your friends aren’t faring well either—one, two, three...”

”No, wait... three?”

”There’s a third one looking for a way to the lobby? Hold on... that’s...”

”The little girl who was with you earlier.”

Through Black Swan’s methods, an image of Firefly navigating the dream’s corridors surfaced.

Black Swan had certainly not invited Firefly into this dreamscape.

...

: Wait a minute. Without Black Swan’s ticket, how did she get here?

: Are you also a Galaxy Ranger? Or did you just wander in?

: Damn, Firefly’s alone in such a dangerous place. Nothing will happen to her, right?!

: Shut up, you jinx!

...

Firefly had left too strong an impression on the audience—

A delicate, ordinary young girl.

All significant figures in Penacony had already appeared, leaving no room for speculation.

Even though the Stellaron Hunters had only introduced SAM through Silver Wolf’s narration.

The subtitles clearly displayed the name as only SAM.

If that’s the case, there was no explanation for Firefly being anything but an ordinary person.

As the bullet comments faded, Black Swan furrowed her brow and said, ”She’s... not running; she’s fleeing!”

”There seems to be something behind her.”

”Everyone, we must hurry!”

The audience’s hearts skipped a beat, Stelle’s expression also changed.

The group quickened their pace, following Firefly’s trail with Black Swan’s guidance.

At a certain door, two floating lines of text appeared, echoes of Firefly’s voice in this distorted space.

”The Watchmaker’s inheritance... I... I don’t want to give it up.”

”I have this right, don’t I?”

These words, coupled with Firefly’s background and her story, left the audience feeling heartbroken.

...

: Firefly smuggled her way in, trying to find the watchmaker’s legacy—was it to cure her own illness?

: After all, she’s so poor, and that kind of illness must cost an astronomical amount to treat.

: Firefly love life so much, she’s so sunny and beautiful—why, why, why must things be like this?!

: Oh heavens, no, Director Xia! This is not fair!

: A beautiful girl, fighting so hard just to survive, deserves to live well—no, even better!

: At last, my anxious heart eased. I had countless thoughts that Firefly might have her own hidden identity, but now it seems she’s just an ordinary person who simply wants to live.

: With such a character setup, no wonder—no wonder she gave everyone such a pure and luminous feeling in the trailer, even in just a fleeting moment.

....

The audience couldn’t hold back their emotions.

They had been misled by the deceptive clues.

When everyone else had backing forces, when each person was stronger than the other, Firefly, such an ordinary person, evoked widespread empathy.

The three quickened their pace, beginning to pass through one door after another.

Not long after, when Stelle pushed open the final door, her vision suddenly blackened, and a dense atmosphere pulled her thoughts downward, as though descending into an abyss, drowning.

An indescribable suffocating feeling rose in her throat, cutting off all words.

In the midst of the darkness, Stelle heard the echo of Firefly.

”I dreamed of scorched earth, of a new bud breaking through the soil. It bloomed toward the morning sun and whispered to me.”

”Why do people choose to sleep? I think it’s because they’re afraid of waking up from their dreams.”

It all connected, Everything made sense.

Only Firefly could be the singularly designated commoner.

These words, her illness, and her impending disappearance—all aligned with her yearning and love for life.

In the dream, perhaps Firefly saw herself finding the legacy and curing her illness.

On the scorched earth, breaking through the soil, welcoming a brand-new life.

Such innocent and beautiful fantasies once again broke the audience’s defenses.

Thinking of the adorable girl wandering alone in a dangerous hotel for the legacy, they couldn’t help but grow anxious.

The darkness dispersed, the three had already appeared in the hotel lobby.

A familiar purple-black mist filled the air.

”Be careful, there’s a dangerous presence nearby.”

”Stay vigilant.”

Acheron and Black Swan both issued warnings.

But Stelle couldn’t focus on any of it.

Her gaze was fixed on the center of the lobby, where a familiar girl’s silhouette stood.

Stelle began stepping forward, running toward Firefly.

Firefly, startled by the sound, was first alarmed, but when she saw Stelle hurrying toward her,

her pupils shimmered, and her lips instinctively pressed together into a slight smile.

”Firefly!” Stelle beamed with joy, sprinting toward her.

Behind Stelle, Black Swan and Acheron exchanged glances.

....

: Waaaaaah, it’s happening!

: What is mutual pursuit? THIS is mutual pursuit!

: Get married! Marry immediately! I demand wlw! I love this, I live for this!

: The yuri is strong with this one!

: So sweet, dammit, in this dark and oppressive Penacony, only such sweetness from Firefly can heal my broken heart!

: Hug! Hug!

: This is the space comedy I signed up for—what was all that earlier horror stuff? It scared the hell out of me!

....

No one knew how many people at this moment wore like-minded smiles, or were twisting around wildly under their blankets.

On-screen, the camera was slowly panning upward, showing the entire scene.

The soothing violin in the background perfectly matched this reunion.

But no one noticed, the same familiar purple-black weapon appeared in the sky, swiftly descending.

The sound of a dangerous siren rang out.

The monster that had previously given Stelle immense pressure suddenly materialized!

Its terrifying singular vertical eye locked firmly onto Firefly.

A powerful gust of wind swept through.

Acheron and Black Swan shielded their faces, but Stelle didn’t notice anything coming from behind her.

Its speed was like lightning, slicing past Stelle’s side in an instant.

The violent wind caused Stelle to stagger slightly.

After a moment of stumbling, she barely managed to steady herself.

But when she raised her head and saw the scene before her, her eyes widened, pupils contracting.

The monster had wrapped around Firefly and pulled her into the air.

Firefly’s fragile body was tossed and turned by the enormous force, twisting helplessly, her cries of pain echoing.

The camera lingered on Firefly’ face.

Tears seemed to well up at the corners of her eyes from the sudden fright and pain.

Her once-panicked expression gradually calmed.

Firefly stared blankly at Stelle, who was running toward her, lips slightly parted as though wanting to say something.

”Ah!” But what came out was a cry of pain.

With a tearing sound, a sharp blade pierced through Firefly’s chest, impaling her completely!

All the music stopped at that moment.

Firefly’s head tilted back in agony, her wide-open eyes trembling rapidly.

Her neck twitched slightly every now and then.

Stelle, Acheron, and Black Swan, all three stared in horror at the scene.

”I’m... sorry...” Firefly, trembling slightly and enduring the searing pain, lowered her head to look at Stelle and spoke with a quivering voice.

Rip! The sound of flesh being torn interrupted Firefly’ words.

The blade dug even deeper.

Firefly’ lips moved silently, but no more sound came out. Her once-beautiful eyes lost focus, becoming lifeless.

Two streams of tears slid down her now-dull eyes.

At this moment, Firefly hung on the massive blade like a rag doll, and was casually flung aside by the monster.

The sorrowful sound of a violin played.

Stelle’s eyes widened, running desperately, arms outstretched, only to embrace emptiness.

As she hugged tightly, Firefly dissolved into a puddle of liquid in her arms, spreading across the ground.

”No... no...” Stelle knelt on the ground, staring at the azure stains, her body trembling.

Throughout the entire scene, the camera maintained a high angle, ensuring every detail of Firefly’ face was clearly visible to all.

At this moment, there were no comments on the screen.

Silence.

But the number of online viewers still displayed brightly below... 10 million...
