Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1330: 1329 Bullying in a different way

“Ranran, I’m your brother, blood-related, your closest brother. How could you think that of me?”

Wen Ran’s words triggered a strong dissatisfaction in Gu Kai.

As his voice died away, the driver had already driven the car into the villa, slowing to a stop. Gu Kai pulled open the door and stepped out, ignoring Wen Ran’s giggling over the phone.

“Ranran, I’m hanging up now.”

“Hey, wait a minute.”

“What else do you need?”

Gu Kai motioned for the driver who got out of the car to close the door as he strode towards the living room.

“You and Yiyi just started dating, right, brother? Aren’t you going to give Yiyi a gift or something, like a bouquet of flowers?”

“Isn’t that a bit cliché?”

Gu Kai asked with amusement.

“What are you talking about? Whether it’s cliché or not depends on who’s giving it, doesn’t it? Yiyi likes you, so naturally, she’ll think the flowers you give aren’t cliché. Besides, my brother is so noble and handsome, you can definitely make cliché flowers look chic.”

“Alright, alright, stop it. I’ll buy her a bouquet of flowers later.”

After hanging up the phone, Gu Kai thought about Wen Ran’s words and found some truth in them.

He had never given Fang Zhiwei gifts when they dated because he never took it seriously. But now, he liked Bai Yiyi, and it seemed that maybe he really should give her a gift for once. Something romantic.

Let Bai Yiyi know that he, Gu Kai, isn’t just good at bickering with her.

But when he thought of Fang Zhiwei, Gu Kai’s brows couldn’t help but furrow. Fang Zhiwei still hadn’t asked Lu Zhiyan to confirm that matter, and he wasn’t sure if she still had doubts about Bai Yiyi or not.

If he started dating Bai Yiyi high-profile, would Fang Zhiwei really believe that the incident that night was orchestrated by Bai Yiyi?

Pondering, he walked into the living room and changed into slippers at the entrance.

Upon entering the living room, he saw Bai Yiyi’s figure in the kitchen.

His eyes flashed subtly, and a pleasant curve appeared on his lips as he strode into the kitchen, “Good morning.”

Bai Yiyi was frying eggs; hearing his voice, she turned her head and met Gu Kai’s eyes that were dyed with a smile. A smile also bloomed between her brows, “Good morning!”

“The eggs smell good, but neither Tongtong nor I eat them. What else is there?”

Gu Kai walked up next to Bai Yiyi, glanced at the eggs in the pan, and then looked around for other things.

“There’s also pig liver and lean meat porridge.”

Bai Yiyi pointed to the side, “I’ve added salt to the porridge. If you want to have vegetables, I’ll stir-fry some greens for you later.”

“Bai Yiyi, the cut on my hand has already healed, don’t you think you’re a bit late with this blood-nourishing food?” Gu Kai lifted his bandaged hand, even though it no longer needed nourishment.

Bai Yiyi felt that the smile in Gu Kai’s eyes was somewhat peculiar when he said this.

She wasn’t sure if it was just her imagination.

She unconsciously frowned, “Who said I was trying to nourish your blood? Tongtong likes the pig liver and lean meat porridge I make. Why are you not eating at your own home and coming here to freeload meals and drinks?”

“This is my home too.”

Gu Kai’s smile remained undiminished, his eyes gleaming as he gazed at her.

Bai Yiyi waved the spatula in her hand as a threat, “Who says this is your home? I’ve paid ten years of rent for it.”

“Oh, I almost forgot.” Gu Kai pretended to suddenly remember, squinted his eyes, and leaned forward, whispering near her ear with a light chuckle, “How about from now on I pay you living expenses when I eat at your place, so you can earn back your rent money.”

“This idea isn’t bad.” Bai Yiyi gave a grin that didn’t reach her eyes.

After plating the eggs, she started washing the pan to cook something else, “However, I’m worried you can’t afford it. I’m not one of those restaurant businesses, and my cooking skill isn’t something average people can enjoy.”

“As long as you’re willing to name a price, I can afford it.” Gu Kai’s brows relaxed, and his smile was enchanting. Under Bai Yiyi’s cunning gaze, he added, “In case I can’t afford it, I might as well offer myself in exchange.”

“Sorry, I’m not interested in you!”

His words were met with Bai Yiyi’s roll of the eyes. She added oil to the pan and instructed him, “Go upstairs and see if Tongtong is awake.”

“Okay.”

Gu Kai readily agreed. His gaze swept over her rosy lips, and there was a faint stir in his eyes. He stepped forward, reached out to turn down the flame, and with a large hand on her shoulder, he turned her body to face him. Without giving her time to react, his thin lips descended on hers.

“Mm…”

Bai Yiyi suddenly widened her eyes.

Gu Kai let out a soft chuckle and released her, “That was a good morning kiss. Oh, by the way, I’ve told Ranran about us being together. She and Mo Xiuchen definitely want to treat us, tonight at Yi Pin Xuan Pavilion.”

“You told Ranran?” Bai Yiyi’s attention shifted because of his words; initially, she was a bit annoyed by the sneak attack.

“Ranran is my sister. I hope to receive her blessings. Don’t worry, she likes you so much, she can’t wait for me to marry you and take you home immediately.”

Bai Yiyi was somewhat stunned, not by his words.

But by his smile, which was so dazzling and charming.

She had always known that Gu Kai was a very handsome man, with a face that could bewitch all living beings, but she seldom saw him smile so purely and happily.

Especially towards her.

In front of her, this man’s usual expression was mostly mocking or taunting, but at this moment, within his heated gaze, she saw two miniatures of herself reflected so clearly and brightly.

Something soft within the depths of her heart seemed like it had been struck.

She slightly pursed her lips, “Gu Kai, can we keep our relationship quiet for now? I don’t want too many people to know.”

There was a brief flicker in Gu Kai’s eyes, a touch of pity swept across the depths, “Alright, just the few of us know. I won’t tell anyone else.”

“Thank you.”

A smile welled up in Bai Yiyi’s eyes.

Gu Kai’s handsome eyebrows quirked, “Thank me for what? I’m your boyfriend now, so of course I can’t bully you like before.”

“Is that so? Does this mean you won’t mock or be fierce towards me anymore from now on?” Bai Yiyi’s eyes sparkled as she looked at him.

If that’s really the case, being with him might not be so bad.

Gu Kai nodded sincerely, and right after nodding, suddenly his large hand cradled the back of her head, pulling her slightly forward. He leaned in and kissed her with an authoritative claim on her lips.

This time, unlike before, it wasn’t just a pause on her lips before letting go.

It was a full-on French kiss. Bai Yiyi, completely unprepared, was pried open by him, his cool breath with a manly scent invaded her mouth, leaving her with no place to hide.

“From now on, I’ll bully you like this. Remember to close your eyes next time.”

Bai Yiyi was left gasping for air from the kiss, while Gu Kai still seemed to have lingering feelings and said in a husky voice after letting go.

Her cheeks flushed with a thin layer of irritation. This detestable man, he simply couldn’t change his nature of bullying her. So much for not bullying her anymore.

He just changed to a different hooligan style of bullying.

“Don’t curse me in your mind.” Gu Kai mussed up her hair with his hand, turned around, and with long strides, left the kitchen to go upstairs and call Tongtong to get up.
