Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 678: Chapter 680: The Miserable Fu Shengqing

Bai Ruozhu did not worry about her own safety, for many officials from the Political Affairs Department were watching her surroundings. Their absence must mean they were preparing to catch the perpetrator in action.

Of course, the officials’ main goal was to capture Zhou Jue, hence their subtle observation to avoid startling the suspect.

She glanced at Wei San. No wonder he hadn’t made a sound—he had been knocked unconscious.

Bai Ruozhu murmured a couple of times to indicate she had something to say, prompting her aggressor to loosen his grip on her mouth.

”Don’t you scream, or we won’t be so polite,” said the speaker, who had decent martial arts skills—enough at least to restrain Bai Ruozhu.

Bai Ruozhu nodded slightly, thereby getting her mouth released.

”You don’t have to twist me or block my mouth. You’re just hired for this job. I’ll just meet whoever is behind this. Even without you, they would have found someone else,” Bai Ruozhu wished to see who was responsible, but not at the expense of her comfort, as her arm was painfully twisted by her captors.

”Just don’t try anything funny,” the man seemed highly suspicious and although he no longer twisted Bai Ruozhu’s arm behind her back, he still tied her hands in front of her. Bai Ruozhu sighed; at least it was less uncomfortable this way.

Fortunately, those people didn’t bother with Wei San and took Bai Ruozhu on their horse carriage and left.

Before boarding the carriage, Bai Ruozhu took a swift glance around. Apart from the driver, there were five kidnappers, all dressed in black with faces covered. All of them were well trained and possessed inner strength, but their martial arts were not as strong as the guards from the Political Affairs Department or even Cui Fan.

She pondered who would capture her. The Du Family? She shook her head. The elder Du, while cunning, was also a sharp man who would not act recklessly under current circumstances.

Besides, according to their plan, she was supposed to become the lady of the house. The Du Family once wished to marry her to Du Zhongshu, but the lady of the Du family was Doctor Du’s wife. Even if it were to be passed on to the younger generation, there were two elder brothers before Du Zhongshu. How could it be his turn?

If not them, who else could it be?

Bai Ruozhu was really unaware of such a character and became even more curious.

The carriage did not leave the city, but went to a secluded courtyard in the city center. When Bai Ruozhu was brought into the yard, she saw the unfortunate second placer, Fu Shengqing.

The Child Student Exam had to be retaken twice due to the scandal, and Fu Shengqing was second both times. Combined with his unpleasant personality, Bai Ruozhu privately nicknamed him ”Eternal Second”. However, she never expected Fu Shengqing to be bold enough to abduct her.

There was also something Bai Ruozhu didn’t know— in the annual test of the Study Palace in Beiyu, the self-praised Fu Shengqing was defeated by Bai Zepei again. Unfortunately, this time he didn’t even make it to the second place.

Because of this, Fu Shengqing had been holding a grudge. When he went home at the end of the year and saw his dull wife, he felt even more upset. He then thought of Bai Ruozhu, who was disguised as a man, and her spicy attitude when she made fun of people. She was a true chili pepper. Although Fu Shengqing didn’t like women, he couldn’t forget how she looked like a handsome young man, and that lingered in his mind.

So he didn’t want to touch his wife at home, resulting in no offspring. Although he had fooled around with some lowly maids outside, they couldn’t bear children for him. This greatly upset Fu’s elderly parents. Once when Fu Shengqing went home, his parents kept nagging about it. Out of desperation, he claimed to be fancying a widow. His mother, driven to madness, said, ”If she can bear a son for me, I will allow you to divorce your current wife and make her the lady of the house!”

This was how the term ”lady of the house” came into the picture.

”Fu Shengqing, it’s you. Despite being a scholar, don’t you know this is illegal? Or have you given up on your career and reputation?” Bai Ruozhu said, raising her eyebrows.

Fu Shengqing started laughing, stepped forward towards her. His gaze was lustful, and his demeanor was absolutely lewd.

”The virtues of an ideal woman match those of a gentleman. I am merely asking you to be my wife. How is that illegal? Once the rice is cooked, you will be my wife. Isn’t that a happy event?” As Fu Shengqing spoke, he tried to untie the ropes binding Bai Ruozhu’s wrists.

A kidnapper nearby quickly reminded him, ”Young Master, she knows martial arts. Be careful.”

”No problem, the spicier, the better,” Fu Shengqing said, even licking his lips. Bai Ruozhu almost gagged from disgust.

The kidnapper said no more but began contemplating whether they should take the money and leave. Fu Shengqing, however, chuckled lewdly and said, ”You guys just watch me take her here. It will also prevent her from attacking me.”

Excitement flashed in the eyes of the kidnappers. The young master certainly had peculiar tastes. But they were definitely excited to watch the erotic show.

Bai Ruozhu sneered. Fu Shengqing was truly disgusting, his mind twisted to such a state.

Fu Shengqing undid the rope a couple of times and then stopped, ”Forget it, it’s more fun to keep her tied up.” He finished speaking and burst into laughter.

The officials from the Political Affairs Department couldn’t delay any longer. If they continued to wait, their young master would certainly kill them. Moreover, they could confirm that this incident had nothing to do with Zhou Jue—it was merely an abduction by this self-conceited clown.

Suddenly several men dressed in black came jumping into the yard. Before Fu Shengqing could inquire about their identities, his hired hands were knocked to the ground. As he stood dumbfounded, Bai Ruozhu’s eyes flashed with mockery. She raised her leg and fiercely kicked him between his legs.

”Aah...” Fu Shengqing screamed in agony and fell to the ground, writhing and convulsing.

Bai Ruozhu shook her leg. Her strength had indeed increased recently, and casual kicks already had such an amazing effect.

The officials in the yard were stunned. Some even sucked in a cold breath and unconsciously tightened their legs. The young master’s woman was indeed quite formidable.

”Take them all to the Government Office and hand them over to Major Lv for punishment,” said the guard leader after snapping back to his senses. He coughed awkwardly before speaking.

”Also, go and untie Miss Bai,” he added, glancing at Bai Ruozhu.

For a moment, no one else moved. Nobody dared to go and untie Bai Ruozhu. They were afraid she would hold a grudge against them for showing up late and kick them as well.

”What a bunch of cowards!” The lead guard cursed softly then walked over himself to untie Bai Ruozhu. He thought that although the young master’s woman was a bit scary, had they trained for nothing? If they couldn’t even defend against this, then there would be no need for them to linger in the Political Affairs Department.

Seeing the weird looks from the officials, Bai Ruozhu realized that her kick had been quite intimidating. She then felt a bit embarrassed. At this time, it seemed that no woman would dare to directly attack a man’s crotch, right?

Alright, she did act a little too aggressively around her husband’s subordinates. But wasn’t it all because of that ”Eternal Second”? Thinking of this, as she passed by Fu Shengqing, she angrily stomped on him a few more times...

Fu Shengqing’s screams filled the air, and the guards of the Political Affairs Department quickly averted their gaze. They saw nothing, heard nothing!

The six people hired by Fu Shengqing were humming and lying on the ground, not completely unconscious. They had seen a woman step over Fu Shengqing’s crotch, and they seemed, or rather faintly heard, something break...
