Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 237: Chapter 237: The Wang Family Making a Scene

However, she really pampered Little Dengdeng. She never skimped on food for herself, and with the addition of the fat fish from the Spatial Fish Pond, her breast milk was especially good. As a result, Dengdeng was plump with several creases forming on his arms and legs, making him as adorable as a lotus root.

Dengdeng’s feet followed after Bai Ruozhu’s. Bai Ruozhu was a tall girl with small feet. In ancient times, she definitely would have been a tall beauty. If converted to a modern size, she’d be about 1.67 meters. To be aware, at this time, Bai Ruozhu transmigrated to an era without the evil tradition of foot-binding, so naturally having a good feet type was a big bonus.

Dengdeng’s feet were very dainty, like a miniature version of Bai Ruozhu’s feet. Each toe looked like fine mutton fat jade, tempting one to take a bite. As a result, Bai Ruozhu has been coveting them for a long time. Fortunately, she isn’t the kind of mother to play with her child.

Fang Guizhi, who was playing with Dengdeng’s little foot, couldn’t help but take a bite. Dengdeng, who hadn’t been bitten by his mother, was suddenly bitten by someone else, and he burst into tears. This scared Fang Guizhi, who quickly tried to comfort Dengdeng, ”Oh my ancestor, can’t Auntie get it wrong?”

However, it seemed that Dengdeng was still very annoyed with her and started crying even louder. Bai Ruozhu playfully scolded her, saying, ”If you love him so much, why don’t go and have one of your own? Stop harming my little fresh meat, go hurry and get busy, I think he’s probably hungry again.”

Fang Guizhi looked at Dengdeng very aggrievedly, as if Dengdeng was heartless for driving her away. Bai Ruozhu burst into laughter and couldn’t close her mouth, but she really wasn’t used to having someone else around while breastfeeding.

After she had fed Dengdeng, the little fellow fell into a deep sleep again. She came out of the room and saw Xiaosi writing on the ground in the yard. She was very touched by his eagerness to learn and patted his head, saying, ”Xiaosi, would you like to share a room with your second brother in the future?”

This was something Bai Ruozhu had asked her second brother about during the day. She felt that Xiaosi was still young and it was okay to share a room with him, but it was not very convenient. Moreover, she didn’t want Xiaosi to be overly dependent on her. She hoped that Xiaosi could have more contact with others and learn to integrate into society. Bai Zepei didn’t care about this matter, after all Xiaosi was quiet and would not disturb him studying or sleeping.

Upon hearing this, Xiaosi’s face fell. Although he was mostly impassive, Bai Ruozhu, who was familiar with him, noticed it.

”You’re a man, you can’t always share a room with your sister. If you live with your second brother, you won’t miss me during the day. Moreover, you can read the books in his room and learn a lot of stuff.” Bai Ruozhu patiently explained to Xiaosi.

When Xiaosi heard that there were many books and that he could learn a lot, his eyes lit up involuntarily, then nodded and said, ” Okay, I’ll listen to my sister’s words.”

That night, after everyone in the house had turned off the lights, Bai Ruozhu held Little Dengdeng and entered her space. Inside, she made a grilled fish for midnight snack and enjoyed the tranquility. She discovered a problem: ever since she started eating fish from the fish pond, or resting in this space, it seemed that she wouldn’t feel tired all day long. She couldn’t pinpoint the exact reason, but she was certain that the fish pond was a treasure.

Not long after, Little Dengdeng woke up. Bai Ruozhu knew that he would usually wake up at this time. She held Dengdeng in her arms and said, ”Dengdeng, wouldn’t it be wonderful if we had computers? We could even watch movies.”

She observed carefully. After she finished speaking, Dengdeng didn’t seem to react, but, as always, he seemed to really like this place, looking around with wide open eyes.

Bai Ruozhu thought for a bit, and then looked at Dengdeng and said, ”Son, your mother shared such a big secret of space with you, do not hide anything from your mother. If you really transmigrated, blink your eyes for me. Remember, no lying!”

She stared at Dengdeng, her eyes sour from the effort. However, Dengdeng didn’t blink his eyes knowingly, at most, it was natural blinking, and he didn’t seem interested in paying attention to her at all.

Suddenly, Bai Ruozhu felt as if she were suffering from some sort of mental disorder. Fortunately, the child was small and wouldn’t remember this; otherwise he would think his mother had gone mad.

However, at least she could confirm Dengdeng hadn’t transmigrated. When she finished breastfeeding Dengdeng and held the child back to bed, she collapsed into a deep sleep.

The next morning, as soon as Bai Ruozhu had finished feeding Dengdeng, she handed him over to Fang Guizhi and repeatedly warned her not to bully Dengdeng, not to always take advantage of her little fresh meat, let alone bite his feet!

Fang Guizhi’s face reddened at Bai Ruozhu’s words, she pouted and argued, ”I got it, I am not that bad, I just found him so cute that I bit him.”

Bai Ruozhu rolled her eyes and thought to herself that Fang Guizhi was on her way to becoming a weird auntie who ate up little boys, and she was not considered bad enough yet?

The family pushed the cart out to set up their stall. Today they didn’t know what they were going to face, so Bai Ruozhu didn’t dare to bring Dengdeng with her, let alone Xiaosi. She was afraid that the Wang Family would harbor resentment against him and take advantage of the chaos to hurt him.

Xiaosi bit his lip and said nothing. Although he was only six years old, he was mature compared to other children his age due to his hardships. He felt that the situation had originated from him and he was particularly anxious.

Bai Zehao patted Xiaosi on his head and said, ”Then you should stay at home and work hard on your exercise. Wait until you grow taller and sturdier to be able to help. Otherwise, we still have to go out of our way to protect you.”

Xiaosi nodded slowly and decided not to follow them. But from that day on, the Bai Family noticed that Xiaosi not only liked to read, but he also took a great interest in running. He said he wanted to become stronger...

As expected, not long after Bai Ruozhu and the others set up their stall, Wang family members came with a milestone momentum. The team was led by Wang Youcai and Wang Xiujun, the father and brother of Wang’s family. Behind them were Wang Chen’s mother and several other people who came to help. They were probably Wang family’s relatives and friends, making a group of as many as nine people.

Bai Ruozhu already noticed Wan Minglu and another person hiding in an alley, so she was not worried. Instead, she calmly looked at Wang family’s people, projecting a momentum that didn’t lose to anyone.

From the distance, Wan Minglu was very anxious, he said to Wang Luji, ”Luji, let’s go quickly, don’t let them harm anyone.”

However Wang Luji held him back and said, ”Wait a bit longer, we need to catch them with the evidence. Once we have the evidence, we can teach them a big lesson at once. Let’s see if they will dare to trouble the Bai Family again! ”

”You are right; I was being hasty.” Wan Minglu said somewhat embarrassed. He was really too anxious and didn’t even think of such a simple matter.

Back at the stall, Wang Youcai shouted at Bai Ruozhu’s family, ”Your actions led to my daughter getting whipped twenty times, and you still want to continue to do business in this town? Don’t you ask us old Wang family whether we agree or not? We will show you some things today!”

Bai Ruozhu gave him a cold look and said, ”When did we cause Aunt Wang to get whipped? We were simply holding Niu Pazi accountable for extorting us. This has nothing to do with Aunt Wang. She was punished for disregarding the law and lying on stage.”
