Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

They wanted to escape, but no one managed to. Some elderly and younger women who tried to escape were killed by the rebels in front of everyone in their village.

The rebels were warning them that if anyone escaped again, they would end up like the women they killed.

It had been three days. Other than the people who had fled in the first two days, no one dared to do it today. They stayed in the village to wash clothes and cook for the rebels, taking care of their daily lives.

They had hatred in their hearts. But no matter how much they hated the rebels, there was nothing they could do.

The rebels raised the guns in their hands and screamed excitedly as they rushed out of the village. Not everyone rushed out of the village. Some rebels were left to guard the village to prevent the rear from being lost. They also needed to prevent the women and children who worked for them from escaping.

With the help of the stupid and timid government forces, no one knew that the village had been occupied by the rebels. They hoped that no one would discover them.

As for the bastards from the peacekeeping forces who suddenly appeared outside, they had to be killed. As long as they escaped alive, the secrets of the village would definitely be leaked.

”Get in, get in! Hehe, hurry up and get in!”

Three dilapidated trucks drove out. The running rebels climbed onto the tailboard of the trucks with both hands. They were very flexible and kept pulling people onboard.

In the distance, Xia Jinyuan’s cold voice came from the intercom. ”There are gunshots in the village. The situation is bad. Accelerate!”

”Yes!”

The peacekeeping soldiers driving the five trucks stepped on the accelerator. The trucks drove back on their original path.

Xia Jinyuan didn’t sit in the Jeep. He was sitting with the soldiers in the fifth truck. The Jeep led the way at the front. He had to hold the fort at the back to guard against any changes.

On the battlefield, they had to be prepared to retaliate at any time. Even if they had already retreated, they could not let down their guard.

Ye Jian, who was riding with the female soldiers, patted the back of a female soldier’s hand. ”Don’t be afraid. I’m here. I won’t let anything happen to you. Trust me.

”Since they’re here, we’ll just shoot. Didn’t we train hard to kill our enemies for many years just so that we can go to the battlefield one day? Now, this is the battlefield. It’s time to put what you learned to use. It’s time to test if you can pass the tests!”

Ye Jian was emboldening the female soldiers. Similarly, the male soldiers were emboldening themselves too. Xia Jinyuan was very direct. He told the male soldiers that he had seen too many situations like this after being in the military for so many years. The last time he fought with the rebels was half a month ago.

”Half a month ago, there were reports that seven Chinese soldiers lost contact with the peacekeeping forces. I was one of them. I lost contact with them from night until dawn the next day.

”On the battlefield, the biggest enemy is often not the enemy opposite you but yourself. When facing your enemies, you have to control your fear first and maintain your composure. That way, you can fight better and protect yourself and your comrades.”

Although Xia Jinyuan said it so directly, he actually looked down on what he said. To describe it in later words, he was giving chicken soup to the soul.

The biggest enemy on the battlefield wasn’t the enemy on the other side but themselves? Bullsh*t. As a soldier, didn’t he know who his enemies would be after entering the military unit?

Soldiers trained hard day and night. If they lost on the battlefield, they would be cowards.
