Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Yang Zhen heard her comrades panting softly. Her heart turned cold. She was the squad leader. If even she showed fear, how could she calm her comrades down?

No, she couldn’t be afraid. No matter how afraid she was, she couldn’t let her comrades realize it. She had to hold on, like Instructor Ye, and be calm at all times.

Here, life and death was not a choice they could make. They either lived or died. It was just that cruel and simple.

She took a deep breath again and detected the faint smell of gunpowder in the air. Yang Zhen said to the female soldier beside her, ”Adjust your breathing and calm down. Don’t be too anxious.”

”Yes, squad leader.” The female soldier, Ding Yue’e, secretly adjusted her breathing. She held the rifle in her hand tightly and adjusted her emotions until there was no fear in her eyes anymore. She looked forward with determination. Every step she took was exceptionally stable.

They were already far away from the peaceful country. They had come to a war country that was in dire straits. They were peacekeeping soldiers who watched over the dawn in the dark and spread peace amidst the turmoil.

The planes at the airport were all from the United Nations. Not far from the airport was the United Nations super camp. There were peacekeeping soldiers from other countries stationed in the camp, including the Chinese peacekeeping soldiers.

The camp that Ye Jian and the rest were going to wasn’t the United Nations super camp. It was the patrol area that Xia Jinyuan was in charge of. It was an area that protected the refugees and was also the most dangerous area. Sometimes, the rebels or anti-government militants would infiltrate the area as refugees and create chaos.

To ensure the safety of the residents, the peacekeeping soldiers needed to patrol every corner every day, including the ruins destroyed by the flames of war.

Besides the fact that the female soldiers didn’t need to go out for routine patrols, many other things that required females to do were left to the female soldiers.

There were many female refugees in the refugee camp. They would have all kinds of problems. Sometimes, the male soldiers couldn’t solve them at all. The female nurses needed to take care of the patients and couldn’t solve those problems in time. Hence, the female soldiers were here to solve those problems.

As the leader of the female soldier class, Ye Jian walked with the first lieutenant and the leader of the male soldiers. The first lieutenant smiled and sighed at Ye Jian. ”Ever since the higher-ups arranged for the female soldiers to come and do peacekeeping, we’ve been looking forward to it. As long as it didn’t happen, we wouldn’t be able to feel at ease. Even when you boarded the plane, we secretly prayed that you wouldn’t change your minds.

”Only when the ten female soldiers walked out of the transport plane did I feel at ease.”

The lieutenant was looking forward to the arrival of the female soldiers. They really needed the female soldiers to be stationed here.

”When the time comes, we need to remind the female soldiers that there will be fights in the refugee area. They’re especially fierce. Once, two female nurses who tried to stop the fight were hit by bricks, and their bones were injured. As a result, when they fought later, the soldiers had to isolate the nurses first.

”The male soldiers can stop the fight in time. However, gender differences make things inconvenient. Every time something like that happens, we’d hope that you’d arrive sooner.”

The lieutenant was good at chatting. It was the first time they met, but he didn’t feel unfamiliar with Ye Jian. The captain of the male soldiers was also very talkative. On the other hand, Ye Jian didn’t talk much. However, she kept smiling and listening, making them feel that she was listening attentively.
