Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

It was a map of the entire city in his hand, and Xia Jinyuan knew it very well. Xia Jinyuan and the other peacekeeping soldiers, who were often arranged to patrol, had a copy of it so that they could immediately know their location and make adjustments in time if there was danger.

This kind of sporadic exchange of fire was like a test. There wouldn’t be any real damage. The other party wanted the bullets to whiz past ordinary civilians to show off their power. Under normal circumstances, they just needed to wait for this wave to pass. There was no need to take a detour.

However, that wouldn’t happen this time. There were 50 peacekeeping soldiers in the five vehicles. They had to take care of them.

In that case, they would choose to take a detour.

The lieutenant also agreed to take a detour. He turned around and saw the two young soldiers sitting at the back. They had such a tacit understanding that he couldn’t interrupt them. He was surprised. ”You know each other?”

”We’re comrades,” White Crane replied concisely. ”The three of us are comrades and have known each other for many years.”

The lieutenant was speechless. How could he have been so blind?

”Attention, attention. There are sporadic exchanges of fire in front. To ensure safety, we’ll take a detour. There are sporadic exchanges of fire in front. To ensure safety, we’ll take a detour. Please answer when you receive it. Please answer when you receive it.”

”Vehicle One, copy. Vehicle One, copy!”

”Vehicle Two, copy. Vehicle Two, copy!”

Soon, all five vehicles received the message. The Jeep led the way and the five trucks took a detour to avoid the crossfire. Under normal circumstances, the peacekeeping forces wouldn’t participate in this crossfire.

The situation in Libya was especially complicated because of the rebels. In addition, a few large ethnic groups were secretly playing cheap tricks, making the government forces unable to split up. The militants would also come out to cause trouble. They not only targeted the government but also a few large ethnic groups.

There might even be a secret alliance. The complicated situation also made the peacekeeping forces sent by the United Kingdom more cautious to avoid encountering minefields.

When the female soldiers heard the gunshots, they instinctively hugged the rifles in their hands and turned their heads to look in the direction of the gunshots. They couldn’t see anything.

”Did they get into a firefight?” Gao Xiao asked Qiu Tong in a low voice. After hashing out their issues, their relationship got better and better. They became good friends and comrades who told each other everything.

Qiu Tong tightened her grip on her rifle and lowered her voice. ”I don’t know. If it was a firefight, they would’ve asked us to prepare. But… they didn’t.”

”So, it’s not a firefight?” Gao Xiao wasn’t sure. She looked around nervously. ”Why does it feel like a firefight? We should be driving toward the city. We seem to be coming off the main road.”

There was a straight yellow road leading to the city. Now, the truck turned and took another road.

”It doesn’t matter if it’s a firefight or not. We’ll be vigilant regardless. If anything happens, we’ll deal with it immediately.” Qiu Tong was very calm. If they really encountered a firefight, they would still have rifles in their hands. ”Hold on to your rifles. Don’t be so nervous that you can’t even pull the safety catch later.”

Gao Xiao rolled her eyes. ”Would I make such a mistake?”

”Nothing is certain,” Qiu Tong replied with a smile. Gao Xiao pouted.

Yang Zhen looked at the two of them whispering to each other and reminded them, ”Be careful. Don’t keep talking. Take note of your surroundings.”

”Yes!” The two of them quickly replied and stopped talking.

Gao Xiao was sure to start talking later again. Yang Zhen smiled lightly and didn’t criticize her.
