Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

How could Lieutenant Ye, who had only been in the air force for more than half a year, surpass Lu Hui, who came from the Aerial 18th Division? Even Guo Cui, who discovered that Ye Jian was a little strange at the start, felt that Lu Hui was too agitated today. She was thinking too much.

It was impossible.

Lieutenant Ye usually didn’t do well during their training. How could she surpass them?

”Forget it, let’s not think about it anymore! Let’s walk faster. My legs are stiff, and every step is tiring.” Lu Hui’s footsteps got slower and slower. Her breathing got heavier as well. At this moment, she felt that all her stamina was exhausted.

She was so tired!

It was definitely not a problem for her to carry light equipment for 30 kilometers. It would not be a problem for her to carry double that. But running 30 kilometers armed overwhelmed her.

”You’re much faster than usual. I thought you weren’t tired.” Guo Cui, who was already tired, was panting so hard that she felt as though there was a rock in her throat. She was out of breath. She held Lu Hui’s arm, and the two of them supported each other as they walked forward.

The team didn’t pull too far away. Whoever didn’t have the strength to continue walking would receive help. They helped each other and tried their best to catch up with the figure in front of them. Their eyes were filled with admiration.

Lieutenant Ye, whom Commander Kong had begged to get into the airborne unit, was really extraordinary. They were all extremely tired, but she was still able to maintain her speed. She didn’t need any help and advanced steadily. After making the comparison, the other soldiers were very ashamed.

At around 4:40 pm, Ye Jian, who had completed the 30-kilometer cross-country run, appeared in front of the sentinels of the military unit. Right on the heels of that, the female soldiers who were so tired that they didn’t even have the energy to take another step gradually appeared in front of the sentinels as well. Ye Jian still stood tall while the rest staggered. One look and you could tell that the others were exhausted.

Captain Lei had instructed the sentinels to inform him if they saw the female soldiers returning to the team. Very soon, Captain Lei knew that the female soldiers had returned. He smiled as he said to Commander Kong, ”Commander, you have good foresight. Look, even their speed is much faster than before.”

Commander Kong, who was in charge of the exercise, gave a report on it before returning to the southwest. He did not go directly back to the division headquarters but came directly to look for Captain Lei, mainly wanting to talk to Ye Jian.

After knowing that Ye Jian had already made a move today and stunned the female soldiers, Commander Kong laughed loudly and said, ”That’s how it should be. We must act when we should. We can’t be afraid of the wolves and the tigers. Dilly-dallying is not our style as soldiers. I like and admire Little Ye’s behavior.”

In the end, Commander Kong was still quite proud of his foresight. He said to Captain Lei, ”I’ve always been an accurate judge of character. I knew Little Ye’s character the moment I saw her. You doubted my decision previously. Come, tell me, was my decision wrong?”

The division commander needed to be coaxed, so Captain Lei hurriedly coaxed him. He gave him a thumbs-up first before coaxing him, ”You’re amazing. As expected of the division commander! Impressive! Admirable!”

”How would I have been able to turn you guys into the elite troops you are now if I wasn’t so powerful? I’m going to take a nap now. Tell me when Ye Jian gets back to the team.”

Commander Kong, who didn’t have a good rest during the exercise, yawned and pulled out a chair. He sat down and placed his legs casually. Then, he leaned against the chair and fell asleep.

Captain Lei didn’t wake Commander Kong up until Ye Jian came back.

Ye Jian didn’t know that Commander Kong had arrived. She was waiting for all the female soldiers to arrive at the military unit. Eight of them had arrived, and there were still nine minutes before 5:00 pm.

At 4:50 pm, two people arrived. At 4:55 pm, two more people arrived. At 4:58 pm, the last two people arrived. Before 5:00 pm, all 15 female soldiers arrived and successfully completed the 30-kilometer armed cross-country run.

Up front, Commander Kong looked at the time. A faint smile appeared in his serious eyes.
