Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

The door of the ward opened. A doctor in a white coat strode in with a serious expression, followed by a few intern doctors.

The doctor saw Xia Jinyuan in his military uniform and said in surprise, ”No wonder. I thought that you were more energetic than us when you walked. As it turns out, you’re a soldier too.”

When he saw Ye Jian in her military uniform, the doctor said, ”You’re so energetic. I can’t even tell that you’re injured.”

Then, the doctor said sternly to the intern behind him, ”In the future, you’ll also encounter patients who are not very cooperative with doctors. For instance, this patient is not very cooperative with me.

”The door of the ward can’t be locked. It’s so that if the patient is in danger, the medical staff can come in immediately to save them. If you lock the door, you’ll have privacy, but there’ll also be hidden dangers.”

After the doctor finished speaking, the intern doctors behind lowered their heads and tried their best not to smile.

Ye Jian’s face was a little hot. Xia Jinyuan accepted the doctor’s criticism seriously and promised that there wouldn’t be a next time. It was just a habit.

”A soldier is indeed different. Your attitude toward admitting your mistake is so good that I’m embarrassed to continue speaking.” A smile finally appeared on the serious doctor’s face. Then, he checked Ye Jian’s wounds and changed her dressing.

The task of changing the dressing could actually be handed over to the nurse. Considering that Ye Jian would be leaving the hospital today, the doctor was afraid that the wounds would split open, so he personally changed the dressing.

The wounds were doing very well and didn’t split. Hence, Xia Jinyuan was praised by the doctor. He even smiled at Ye Jian and said, ”Your boyfriend is not bad. He takes good care of you. I won’t have to worry about leaving you in his hands.

”It’s just that…” The doctor who was tying the bandage around Ye Jian’s shoulder tilted his head and saw Lieutenant Colonel Xia standing there with a cold expression. The doctor said, ”It’s just that he doesn’t look like someone who knows how to take care of others.”

Xia Jinyuan’s forehead was twitching. He endured the fact that several intern doctors were watching him. Now, because of the doctor’s words, he took a deep breath. He smiled and said, ”The air conditioner in the ward is a little strong. Are you done? If you are, I’ll help my girlfriend put on her clothes.”

Ye Jian, who had only put down one side of her sleeve to get her bandages dressed, knew that her boyfriend was being petty again.

There was no gender in the eyes of doctors.

However, she felt a little awkward even with just one sleeve down as she was surrounded by a few young intern doctors. Hence, she cooperated with her petty boyfriend and said that the air conditioner was cold.

The doctor looked at the two of them. When he left, he laughed out loud..

”The doctor talks too much. It’s worrisome.” Lieutenant Colonel Xia carefully helped Ye Jian lie down after sending the doctor off. ”Turn your body a little. Don’t press on the wound on your waist. I just took a look. It’s already starting to scab. You can lie down flat and sleep soon.”

Ye Jian lay on her side. She felt the pillow on her back and leaned over. Her back, which had been tense for more than two hours, relaxed. She let out a long and lazy moan. It was extremely comfortable.

”In the next few days, you can’t walk around like today. Fortunately, your wounds didn’t split open.” Xia Jinyuan bent down and tidied the bed. He tried his best to make Ye Jian feel more comfortable. His gaze was gentle as he served her. One could see his cautiousness from his every move.

”I don’t look like someone who knows how to take care of others? I clearly know how to take care of my girlfriend!”

In the end, Xia Jinyuan sat by the bed and held Ye Jian’s hand. He snorted like a child, making Ye Jian smile. ”Oh, you. The doctor was just saying it casually. How could you take it to heart? I know how good my man is at taking care of me. It’s better if other people misunderstand!”
