Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

At 10:00 pm, Xia Jinyuan, who never smoked, lit up one cigarette after another. He sat alone on the sports ground of the base.

There were at least 20 cigarette butts beside his feet.

He didn’t smoke much. He just put it to his mouth and lit it up. Then, he held it in his hand and let the cigarette burn out.

G3, who was invited out by the sentinel, looked at the scene for at least half an hour. The commander of the Xueyu unit, Lieutenant Colonel Xia, didn’t notice him. Xia Jinyuan only noticed him when he walked in front of him.

The red cigarette flickered a few times between his fingers. He threw it on the sports ground and extinguished it with the tip of his shoe. Xia Jinyuan looked up. ”Why aren’t you asleep yet? Don’t you plan to go for exercise tomorrow?”

Her voice was so hoarse that G3 jumped in fright.

G3 walked closer, and his nose twitched slightly. ”Why does it smell like shampoo? Did you drink shampoo instead of alcohol?”

”Get lost.” Xia Jinyuan raised his leg and kicked him. ”You’re disturbing my peace.”

G3 sat down. The smell of shampoo got stronger. He stared at Xia Jinyuan’s unruly hair that was cut into a crew cut. He laughed. ”Don’t tell me you didn’t rinse your hair after putting on shampoo?”

G3 was right.

It was rare for Xia Jinyuan to freeze. He raised his head and touched his hair that was a little prickly. ”Yeah, I think I rinsed it. I remember rinsing it.”

”Rinse, my ass. It smells like shampoo.” G3 smiled until the corners of his mouth twitched. He even rubbed Xia Jinyuan’s head. ”It’s still sticky. It’ll definitely foam up if you pour water over your head.”

He probably didn’t rinse it.

Xia Jinyuan touched his sticky hair and smiled. That smile made G3’s heart tighten.

”At first, I really thought that you were asleep. After walking around, the sentinel realized that it was you and didn’t dare to approach. After walking another round, you were still here. He was worried, so he ran over to look for me. He was afraid that you would take things too hard and commit suicide.”

G3 looked at the captain carefully. He lowered his voice and said, ”Why? Do you still miss Ye Jian? Aren’t you going to her school tomorrow? You can recover from your lovesickness by then.”

”I was washing my hair. Halfway through, I suddenly saw her standing there covered in blood. I don’t know what she was muttering. The bloody sight was frightening. After bleeding for three minutes, all the blood on her body dried up.”

This scene suddenly flashed past Xia Jinyuan’s mind. His heart hurt so much that he almost thought that he would die young. The hooligan froze at that moment and forgot about rinsing off the shampoo.

This was the first time he didn’t know what to do.

G3, who was called out by the sentinel and was so frightened by the sentinel’s anxious look that his knees turned weak, thought that the captain was really going to commit suicide and ran all the way here. When he saw the scene before him now, he was relieved.

He didn’t disturb them. He even asked the sentinel to go around this area and stand at the side.

He didn’t dare to disturb them. He was afraid that if he disturbed them too much, he would shock the soldier who always stood straight no matter how heavy the wind and rain were.

They accompanied each other until the night dew was deep.

”We might be able to see each other tomorrow. How can we not attend her graduation ceremony?” G3 didn’t know how to comfort Xia Jinyuan, but he had to say something. How could he just accompany her?

Xia Jinyuan smiled faintly. His handsome and elegant face showed a hint of sadness. Even his eyes were filled with bitterness. ”I feel that I’m being a little pretentious. You’re right. I might seem ruthless to her, but I’m actually only ruthless to her when she’s right under my nose.

”When she’s out of my sight and out of my range, I’m afraid. I’m really f*cking afraid. I’m so afraid of her dying.”
