Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Ye Jian was the only one who was awarded a military rank on the day of graduation!

There was no jealousy or envy. Everyone gave their blessings.

The students in Ye Jian’s class were excited. They agreed that if the school leader could include one more sentence in his speech, he should add, ”The students in your class are proud of you!”

Xu Wen clapped hard. Tears flowed down her face. Her mouth… kept moving. No one knew what she was muttering.

If one leaned closer and listened carefully, one would be able to hear what she said.

”Outstanding Students with the military rank of lieutenant. Jian has five other military merits, but she’s only a lieutenant! Shouldn’t she be a major?”

Although she was muttering, she was still clapping.

He Jing wasn’t as agitated as Xu Wen, but she cried more.

The military merits represented the glory of a soldier and the hard work of a soldier. They were personally worn by the school leader for Ye Jian. ”Ye Jian, you’re the pride of the National Science University. The National Science University is proud of you. You’re also a role model for all the students of the National Science University. Your spirit and your deeds are worth learning from.

”It’s almost time for you to graduate. I hope that you can work harder and repay what you’ve learned to our country. Your future path will be even more glorious!”

The five medals that represented Ye Jian’s blood and sweat and carried the glory of a soldier were placed on her chest. The school leader took half a step back and saluted Ye Jian, who had brought honor to the school and the country.

”Yes!”

Ye Jian saluted. As she raised her hand, the medals on her chest refracted a resplendent and dazzling light. It entered the eyes of all the students below the stage.

As it turned out, Ye Jian had already made countless contributions. They thought that she was just a student who received the title of ’Outstanding Student’ every semester!

They thought that Ye Jian was already very powerful in school. She was at a height that they couldn’t reach. Now, they realized that Ye Jian wasn’t just powerful in school. She was also powerful outside the school!

Back then, they would think of working hard so that they could maybe surpass Ye Jian. Now, they didn’t even dare to think about it!

They wouldn’t be able to reach where Ye Jian was for the rest of their lives!

As the school leader saluted, the applause from the audience erupted again. It only stopped after Ye Jian returned the salute.

”Awarding military rank!”

When the most sacred moment arrived, the students’ expressions became very serious. The atmosphere in the entire auditorium changed. It was solemn. No one dared to be impudent.

A young lieutenant colonel walked up the stage with a red satin tray with a lieutenant rank epaulet. The young lieutenant colonel was extremely handsome and elegant. His eyes were as bright as the sun, and he had the aura of a soldier that made people hold their breaths when he appeared.

He walked over and stood beside Ye Jian. There was a faint smile on his thin lips.

’I once said that I hope that in the future, I can be by your side and share everything with you, be it honor or disgrace!’

Ye Jian looked at him without blinking. Her gaze was warm.

Major General Yang personally untied the shoulder strap on Ye Jian’s shoulder and said softly, ”Outstanding Students are already given the rank of lieutenant. You’ve made five contributions, so you can be given the rank of major. However, since it’s the graduation ceremony, I can only let you suffer.”

”It’s good that you know that she has suffered. When she joins the military unit, please award her the military rank of major as soon as possible.” Beside him, Lieutenant Colonel Xia, who had witnessed his girlfriend becoming an active-duty officer from a student, gritted his teeth and said, ”I’d rather the military not arrange a graduation ceremony for her!”
