The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 2300: Chapter 2300: The Luxury Voyage of the Special-Class Ship

”Oh, the price isn’t cheap.”

Carson Flores and his companions stood at the ticket counter, examining the information about the ship tickets written on the wall.

”Grade C passenger ships are not expensive, but they clearly have poor conditions and low guard levels. If such a ship encounters a Great Demon attack, it’s basically doomed with no chance of escape.”

Selah Ellison looked at the ticket prices and asked curiously, ”Aren’t Sea Demons in the sea? Why do we still use sea transport ships instead of Flying Boats for air transport?”

A middle-aged man nearby answered with a smile, ”It’s not that we don’t want to fly, it’s that we can’t fly.”

Selah tilted her head and smiled, ”Why can’t we fly?”

The middle-aged man explained, ”The flight principle of Flying Boats is driven by floating combined with Spirit Stone power. However, across large areas of the Endless Sea, there is violent energy interference that disrupts the Formation, making it impossible to operate smoothly. Either there’s insufficient spiritual power causing it to stall, or the spiritual power overloads and destroys the Formation. If the Flying Boat stalls or the Formation is destroyed, it would just plummet into the sea and people would drown.”

”Since Flying Boats can’t operate, we can only rely on sea transport. Sea transport ships need Spirit Stones as power to drive the ship’s axle rotation, which propels the ship forward. Even when encountering problems, cultivators can manually rotate the drive, ensuring the ship continues to move without stopping in the sea. This is the fundamental reason for using sea transport.”

Selah smiled, ”I see, I was wondering why flying over would be more convenient and less likely to attract Sea Demons.”

The middle-aged man laughed, ”To Sea Demons, there’s no difference between flying above or traveling through the sea. Powerful Sea Demons can fly at will both above and below the sea. If you encounter Sea Demons, whether you’re on the sea or in the air, there’s no difference. Moreover, it’s said there are many bird-type Great Demons that are very formidable and would attack targets in the sky, so traveling by air might not necessarily be safer than by sea.”

Selah thanked him, ”I understand now, thank you for enlightening me.”

The middle-aged man warmly inquired, ”Is it your first time here?”

Carson chimed in, ”Yes, we’re just checking the ship ticket information.”

The middle-aged man chuckled, ”Judging by your demeanor, you all don’t seem to be troubled by the ship ticket cost. I suggest you take the Ocean King. It’s a bit expensive but safe, and the services on board are top-notch. You will enjoy the journey and won’t feel bored.”

Carson glanced at the ticket info, ”I don’t see the Ocean King you mentioned.”

The middle-aged man grinned, ”On this route, passenger ships are classified at Grade A, B, and C levels, but above Grade A there’s actually a special grade. However, special grade ships aren’t regularly available, but are activated for significant occasions.”

”The Ocean King belongs to the special grade. It’s said that an Eastern Radiance high-level delegation is visiting the North Sea for some negotiations, so the travel specifications must match the occasion, hence the activation of the Ocean King.”

”This info is currently being circulated at certain levels. Astute people have already bought tickets for the Ocean King, which are exclusively premium cabin tickets. When public ticket sales open, only medium and low-grade cabin tickets might be left.”

Carson smiled, ”If we want to buy tickets for the Ocean King, where do we go?”

The middle-aged man laughed, ”I can take you to buy them, don’t worry. I’m just a traveler, not an agent or tout. What I just said, you can confirm with the ticket seller in front, and although the tickets aren’t publicly available yet, he definitely knows about it.”

Selah asked, ”What is the difference between the special grade ship and the Grade A ship?”

The middle-aged man answered, ”Grade A, B, and C passenger ships are just passenger ships. The special grade, however, isn’t merely a passenger ship. It has all the entertainment facilities you can think of. On a passenger ship, you’d just count the days in your cabin waiting to dock, but on a special grade ship, you can indulge in various entertainments, and before you know it, you’re at your destination.”

”Additionally, regarding safety, the special grade ship is overseen by powerful figures, making it even safer. As I said, it might be pricey, but it’s worth it.”

Carson responded straightforwardly, ”Alright then, please help us out. We’ll go with the Ocean King.”

The middle-aged man laughed openly, ”It’s nothing, I’m just saying a few words. Come with me.”

Carson and his companions followed the middle-aged man around the ticket counter, entering through a side door into a ticket window that didn’t seem to be operational. The middle-aged man approached it and knocked on the window.

”Hi, mate, three tickets for the Ocean King... Oh right, which cabin type do you want?”

Carson smiled, ”The best.”

Carson wasn’t short on spirit stones. Since it’s supposed to be an enjoyable trip, he naturally wanted the best.

The window opened, and a young man asked, ”You know the rules for buying tickets, right?”

The middle-aged man pulled out a card and handed it to the young man, ”I’m a member of the business association, I understand the rules.”

The young man checked the card, took note, and then said, ”Premium cabin, single room, one million spirit stones each. How many rooms?”
